Description : My latest production, this track was written with the intent on symbolizing a anxiety/panic attack as I unfortunately get them often. Plus I felt like dusting off one of my old 7 string guitars lol. The genre is a mix of Phonk, Hip Hop, Hard Rock and Metalcore. It's sort of a Frankenstein lol but I'm happy with the result! Hope you guys enjoy.
Update I added some baritone vocals (mine) and put a few screams over the chorus from a vocal sample I got from Verseza here on Looperman!

I am always drawn to a hybrid of mixed genres. this is such a cool eclectic mix of so many styles and they are work seamlessly with each other. Awesome tune !
Fantastic mix of styles ... sounds cool together ... hats off in front of you about trying to make stg new ... it's too hard but this creativity is insane ... :-)
fistbump,
Danke
Thanks bro glad you liked, mixing genres is one of my favorite things to do sometimes they dont come out well and sometimes they do lol :) appreciate the love.
This is cool. It's kind of the same genre as like, Falling In Reverse. Well, at least from what little of them that I've heard. That's more Mrs. V's style of metal. I tend to lean more into the Deathmetal and Deathcore. But that's totally beside the point. The point is, this is good.
I dig the mix overall. But I do think the guitar could come up just a touch. They're a little quiet in there. Just my opinion, brother.
So, as far as the vocals go, which parts are you, and which parts are from the sample? Also, are you playing the solo bit starting at around 2:17?
I saw that you and Aaron were talking about dark music personas...yeah, I can relate. For may years now, Valvedriver has been known here for being one the darker ones of the place. ...and, much like the two of you, it's in contrast to my daily self. So, I dig it, man. I get where you're coming from.
Anyhow, I hope all is well.
Take care.

Yeah I listen to literally every genre of music out there (except jazz I f*ckin hate jazz lol) and one of my favorite things to do is blend genres. All vocals in the song are mine except for the chorus screams which is from Verseza here on looperman (really wish I could scream like that lol) and yes also all guitar parts in the track are myself playing organically into the DAW. Appreciate the feedback bro im glad you enjoyed I admire your work lol.
It is a difficult song but it is a difficult situation you need to share. I agree it is a relief, that is how music should work. You have managed a realistic or maybe a surrealistic description of your sentiments, it is art. If you need to be loud maybe this is the best substitute to try. Very well done
Best wishes, Anthony
Really digging this Dusty! that flow you have reminds me a lot of Linkin Park's first album, but I totally get what you mean by a Frankenstein with it, because I can def hear all those other genres it draws from. Really comes together nicely though! Thank you for sharing this!

what the phonk is going on here, i like what you did. im very impressed. its kinda hard to combine these genres but that is awesome. i working on something like this for 6 months and never cracked the code. but damm your vox glues it together. i dig your flow and fits perfect. the quality of your baritone is good craftet and never gets into a wannabe baritone thing. thank you for uploading and if you ever need a bassist. i would be happy to do some stuff. i got like a korn like bass tone in mind for some bridges. love from a banana
Thanks man, I always love collaborating, I just love making music of pretty much any type and especially love mixing genres. Glad you enjoyed! You should join the discord for easier collabs if you arent already. It's on dimestops profile.
and its brave to come out and show it, but it works, thats what i did here, and its lightened the load, i get my angers and frustrations out in my music and music as improved my well being
bro the links grow suffered mental health anxiety anger since i was a 13 year old, i hid it all for years my closest knew just never spoke of it because they don't wanna hurt you, i write cathartic songs too, but this is fresh grungy metal hip hop with panic anger and frustration, sometimes they just not listening, you know what i mean bro, top job
Bro, so cool track, can I tell my insight, it feels like on firs drop should be some explosion of energy like somebody screaming or need to play on drum like crazy if you know what i mean , anyway I like it, just always in my head looking for best in MY opinion ))
Thanks man, and yeah I agree I can't metal scream unfortunately that's what I really wanted to hear there lol. Couldn't find any samples that I liked on looperman either. But I hear you appreciate the listen.
I should mention that I'm planning an entire project of this ilk to start work on soon, and I've been looking to involve some others. I'm thinking Industrial/metal/trap as that core of it, with 808 basslines throughout. If that interests u, shoot me an email and we can talk more. - Aaron
First, I gotta say that your words hit close to home. I also suffer from severe anxiety and panic attacks, and even depression, at times. My girl and I were attacked and severely mauled by a pit bull last year, and that quadrupled the anxiety, especially when I hear a dog barking. I hope u find solace in music, as I do. I have a dark musical persona, but that contrasts strongly with who I am in everyday life. I try to be kind and understanding in every way I can, as my mother was. If u ever need a chat or anything at all to help u through a rough patch, I'm an email away. Meanwhile, the guitar has been calling to me again, it was the first instrument I fell in love with. Glad to see it calling to u, as well. 7 string, huh? Been listening to Korn or Slipknot? Lol. Well done, man. Ill have to give this another listen.
Lol I appreciate that bro, but nah I'm good despite what I say in some of my lyrics and music. I also have a dark musical persona lol, always have and probably always will. Sometimes I like making more upbeat stuff but the dark stuff just comes so easily you know what I mean I hear it in your music also. And hell yeah bust out the guitar lmao I had fun even though I just played some simple tones and easy melodies nothing to wild as I didn't want it to sound like a metallica song xD I added lyrics now and its even darker than it was haha. But yeah again I appreciate you bro and same goes for you! I'm trying to join that discord right now actually idk if you are a part of that or not.
Description : I asked Danke if I could add some vocals to his track Future Machine and he kindly agreed and sent me the track. The lyrics are about a soldiers experience in war as he and his trench mates are told to get up and out of their trench and attack the enemy across open fields. I can only imagine the fear, tension and chaos that goes through one's mind at that moment.
Description : I discovered Meshuggah around 2003 and was blown away by the power, complexity and super Heavy sound of their music. Their "Nothing" album marked the switch to 8 string guitars and pushed Heavy Metal into a whole new territory. My track is a variant cover of their song "Nebulous". I have stayed pretty close to the original but added a few dynamic elements of my own. Its loud, its super heavy and way out there...Beyond Nebulous.
Description : This unconventional metal track is dedicated to Valvedriver https://www.looperman.com/users/profile/841435 though it's not a parody of his fine music or me actively trying to sound like it. I struggled for months with the first few minutes of this track knowing that I must be able to take it somewhere deeper, more psychedelic and powerful. Then I loaded some sampled choir voice instruments, as used in my track Reckful https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/160356 and suddenly found myself happily in Valveland - not a place I visit often. Feeling amply Valvedriven and newly inspired, I added the last few minutes fairly easily and very quickly. So: it's a twisting, turning mixture of grunge, menacing ambient, mystical metal and ultra-heavy funk. Instruments: electric guitar+bass, synth basses, female choir voices, one synth pad, some other synths on the nastier side of things and a few programmed heavy acoustic drumkits playing a mixture of triplets and straighter grooves. Interesting thoughts appreciated. Favourite bits? Shit bits? Please listen on good headphones/speakers as there's a lot of heavy bass in this. Now get ready to rock: balls out, hands in the air and with rebellious joy in your heart. Just try not to headbang the hell out of your laptop. Go!
Description : Whats up guys?! Been a while I know. Iv'e moved around a lot but have finally settled down and have been hard at work with my metal band. Unfortunately I've had to put my solo work on hold for a bit while I'm recording with the band. We are being professionally recorded now, a very big step up from the last recording of my band that I posted here. Anyways, hope you guys enjoy! We are, Raze The Pyre.
