Description : Ambient Indie I guess. Lots of empty spaces as usual. Put a proper ending on it now, just for Manuela!

This is smooth! I need my friend Morgan (Paperkut) to come have a listen to this; hes on Looperman too. Hes been trying to make his stuff as good as this, and theres a lot to learn from you. Thanks for sharing. it's awesome!
Thanks Richard. This is one of my favourites too - sometimes I need to remind myself of what I say in the song. By the way, the irony of my comment to you re. your lyrics isn't lost on me in light of my current 'Starman' track. One could easily substitute 'Starman' for God.
Hello Chris, An ending with a dedication, I feel honored that you thought of me in a part of your song, even if its just the ending. Smile Great ending! Best regards,
Manuela
Well you were right it needed a decent ending. But actually I am thinking of you for a track I am working on now. I just messaged you via LM. Cheers Chris
Hey Chris,
you must sing more. Great. Loved to come down while i was listining. What a smooth, chill and wide open story told with a great instrumentation. I Do not know the ending from before, but i like what i have heard now.
Greetings
Matthias
This is perfect to fall into when you are with someone special - it hits a soothe and chill energy in you but doesn't take you over. Perfect to have playing on your chillout list where your own demeanour is creating the canvas for the colours it throws forth. Kay0s
Thanks man. I was listening to it again myself and decided it's as much a deconstructed and redacted song as much as an ambient thing. Just waiting for a convenient time to listen to your latest. Take care man.
This sounds absolutely AMAZING! like the sound of this and that guitar is stealing the show indeed. A very coolio and unique production here keep em coming, I can imagine this being played in a smoky room of super chilled out laid back musicians :) Nice one!
Ha nice one Celestial Angel, I think you must have been doing some magic recently in the heavens what with our fantastic aurora a couple of nights ago, down here in the southern hemisphere. Thanks so much for the comment etc. Always appreciated. All the best, Chris
Diggin this track bro. The mix is pretty cool. The slow pace is my kind of thing kind of like Robin Trower groove. Dig your guitar fils. Very kick back, nice one!
Hello Chris, I think it's perfect. And the sound is balanced. The guitar may dominate a little, but it's so good that I think it's OK. You can tell, it breathes space. Very nice track!
Cheers,
Micky
Ha, yeah I can't seem to bring myself to fill in those spaces. I'm gonna try and make something super dense one day just to see if I can do it. Cheers Chris
Nicely done, atmospheric, great guitars, right portions of vocals and an excellent result. To my ears and on the headphones, yes I might like a bit more "bassy" bass sounds. Not of special importance though.
Wish you the best, Anthony.
This was a nice listen with my morning coffee. I was surprised to hear the guitar, which sounded great. I loved the mix of the heavy reverb background and the clean center track. As far as the levels and mastering I think its tight. Personally I love tracks that are punchy. But I tend to over accentuate, especially where bass and guitar are concerned so maybe I'm not the best choice for comment there, but for what its worth I'd say you nailed it.
That's all good, thanks for taking the time to listen and comment. I'm enjoying using the guitar lately, specially maybe in ways that aren't quite traditional. Cheers Chris
This came up nicely - for sure dont need that other bass, the ambience is great and you got that guitar sound ringing nicely - real cool slow burn minimalist kind of a track. You could build on this one but it's sweet as is
Hello - writing here not as a musician but as a lyricist conveying the 'first hit' of reaction, I felt like a bit more percussion around the vocal (and indeed, more vocals around the 3.00 mark), would pull the whole thing together, off-setting and showcasing the overall chill ambience. Very pleasant on the ear - keep going, I enjoyed it - Kay0s
Hi, thanks a lot. Yeah i did have a few more lyrics written. The vox you hear was just a scratch/test thing but then I couldn't get around to recording more. Anyway, I think you're probably right. We'll see, might come back to it Cheers Chris
And Ambient Indie it is lol. Man the whole team seems to be on fire lately. I think this is leagues ahead of what I last heard from u. I feel like I'm at a show like Farm-Aid or something lol. Thanks for taking me there bro. Lovely work. - Aaron
Hi Zootman....listened to your track and thought it was pretty interesting...a nice mixture of effects and instrumentals with soft vocals intermittently thrown in.....I enjoyed it, good job.
i dig that loose sound and what you did with your guitar is just straight soul, a great conversation and brought so much energy. your voice tone and ideas are great and i love that whoo. I listened at monitor and headphones and its great clear mix of all instruments and vox. I red the comment from doudei and tried the cut around 6k it changes up for a bit clearity. Im thankfull for his comment, because i suck in mixing . But we talking upper echolon type shit here, with your production. It really stands out in dimension and feeling. i want more vox from you, such a beutifeul voice.
Hey man, thanks as always. I fixed up that problem frequency that Doudei mentioned, I think it's a lot better now. Its really allowed the the clean delay guitar fx to come through more. Cheers Chris
Hello Chris, the song is flawless in terms of both quality and structure. The instruments and vocals are clear and distinct. The arrangement of the instruments is excellent and the guitar touches me deeply. Phew, it's probably better that you're so far away and I'm in good hands. *smile.
Best wishes, Manuela.
Oh yes, great song!
(One more small thing, you know me as an ending fetishist *smile, who pays attention to endings, the ending seems a bit abrupt. Couldn't the last chord have been allowed to fade out?)
Everyone likes a happy ending lol. I'm glad you enjoyed it. The structure is quite loose but it is there. I also mucked around a bit with adding some more sounds etc. but in the end just didn't think I was adding anything it needed. As for ending, yes you are probably right. I did rush the ending somewhat. I will probably fix that up at some point, along with checking out the high frequency thing Doudei noted. But unfortunately it's a Sunday and I have reports to write:( Hope you have a great day/night. Chris
everything sounds great on my headset Chris, and when i listened on speaker sounds good too bass is clear even when the one git drops its still clear to hear vox are right in the mix to, it has a sombre vibe but brightened by the lead, personally i think you got the balance on point, you know i would say if i thought anything was out of place your my mate, i think you nailed it, good listen for me
Thanks for the feedback Paul, always appreciate you listening. I was hoping it had kind of an upbeat vibe, in an ambient and minimalistic way, or at least the lyrics were trying for that. Cheers mate.
by the way i think 1000 chars is a bit low max size for comments. just wanted to say i had to shorten the comment below a bit to make it fit.
plus it says at the bottom of the textbox "Min 5, max 3000 characters. Plain text only." which doesn't match the actual limit. i will try reporting it.
Yeah I agree. Though I'm often just tapping on my phone when listening and commenting to LM tracks, so I'm generally pretty brief. Cheers from Down Under.
i just listened on stereo first, then with headphones, and it sounds great on both.
what chilled vibes. simple yet awesome music, my friend.
i like how open and wide it feels with the reverbs and delays on the instruments and vocals, while the dry, close percs and that clean guitar give a nice contrast to the reverberant parts. this is a good mix in my ears.
i get what you mean about struggling with mixes. i feel like my ears adjust and get used to the sounds quickly, and then it's tough to make the right decisions without using some other reference to gauge where i'm at.
one small thing i noticed while listening on headphones that i missed on stereo - and having the benefit of listening to the tune for the first time, which also helps immensely - were the high frequencies, which felt slightly distracting
i quickly played around with eq a bit, cutting quite wide and shallow around 6k did the trick for my headphones, resulting in a tiny loss of clarity on low volume over speakers though
Hi there, thanks so much for taking the time to listen and work that our. The high frequencies probably come from one of the perc loops. There are about 5 layers of drum loops. But that one is kind of all cymbal. I ummed and ahhed about keeping it in, or reducing it a little, but it ended up staying. I'll try and replicate what you did and see what happens, if I can get the chance. Thanks a lot, Chris.
Cool ambience this time ... there is enough bass and that was incredibly played ... :-)
mood is outstanding as the male "voice" ...
guitar jam is huge too ...
thanx for the upload, dl and fav of course,
fistbump,
Danke
Description : Headphones are recommended for a more immersive experience :P - - - A weary American soldier is walking through the remains of what used to be a small town in the middle east, only to rediscover the horrible reality that sometimes war can affect even the ones who have no part in it.

This is my first attempt at creating a virtual environment to tell a story and convey emotion. Hope you enjoy! Comments are welcome!
Description : the other end of the scale from me, yep people, this is a ballad. its for all the people who have lost somebody long before their time was due,
i used my experience of tragic loss and how i hid my mental health issues that stemmed from it while writing it, its repetitive but has fresh verses
its to Matthias music Du Bist Nicht Mehr Hier almost the same title, He has suffered too that's why he wrote the music and dedicated it to his brother. i hope i have done it justice
Description : This track contains several loops, all of them are from looperman artists - listed below. I don't know if "ambient" fits well for it, but i get most loops from that category. :)
Inspired by the Final Fantasy series and my ex girlfriend. Hope you will enjoy it (not my ex! :D). As always, free to use for a song, any opinions-critics welcomed... UPDATE 2015.10.24.: improved audio quality - lower lows, higher highs. Now in 256kbps!
Description : Working with DarkKZ by Beatskillz, Synthmaster 2.9, Waves Bass Fingers, Microtonic drum synth, Izotope nectar 3 elements, Ozone 8 Elements & several other plugings I'm trying for the first time. The vocal samples are from Ghosthack, LANDR & Sampleswap. Hope you like it. Cheers.
Post script: The word "Ambient" has come up several times in the comment section for this, so I switched the genre to that. Thanks for the input. I really appreciate it.
Description : I made this with Garageband and was inspired by Anime music, such as Naruto. And if you noticed one little part is very similar to one of the melodies.
Description : ambient, guess i was trying to blur the lines between soundscape and music or something like that. will still edit here and there. put it on, lie back and sift. bass loop from LM's megapaul - darktimes and danwilson - drug induced crush
Description : Depression and sadness can sometimes serve as motivation for creativity as in the case of this track. A few months back I went through a period of loosing a few friends and co-workers. Attended a few funerals and as a result found myself reflecting on life. One night I had the urge to try to transfer my feelings into music and this is what came out. Some baratone guitar accompanied by synth and accapella.
Final EDIT: Further tweaking on levels and a slight change up in the timimg of the choir section.
Description : Hello,
this is a track between composition and cover.
Amandine (Sova Berry or Dine on soundcloud) made a cover of the a cappella "Song of Sophia" by Dead Can Dance.
I liked it very much, so i decided to make an instrumental with her vocals.
Hope you'll like it and if you want to comment, you are welcome, whatever you think.
Bye

Legendary!
