Thanks man, I'm somewhat of a perfectionist, so even though it's a hobby, I like it to sound like 1) nothing done before and 2) something that I'd jam to.
Thank you for the kind words, means a lot,
Even if people didn't like I'd still make it lol
I'll hit up one of your tunes
Steve
This is very intense, i love it. What programs/vst's did you use to produce this? Im really into DnB and Dubstep, so thats what im aiming to produce. I currently have a microKorg, an soon im going to get the EMXSD1 and KP3. If you have any pointers for a new guy that would be amazing. Amazing work, i hope to hear some more tracks from you soon!
Thanks you.
The program(s) I use were Reason 4, and to master I used Audacity, Effects were made in FL with some VST's (I can't tell yah cause I used soo many lol).
Well some pointers I've heard - and honestly they're spot on, you just have to know how to use them - is make EQing your friend, use other songs to determine your "quality" (add, subtract and judge whether or not it's hit what you want it to hit... Eqing can be done with this as well, certain frequencies can be hard to get when you're not sure where to look, but side by side a track with yours and you'll see which freq's are needed). Compressor's are a must, limiting can be used to a point but don't over-do it, and when making a track don't use mastering, just let the raw sound come through. Then master it; it will sound different whilest mastering than if you do it via premastering.
Hope that helped :)

Well, my goal is to exceed my expectations and see where that takes me, cause if you dream so big that you think you've reached the end, you're wrong... there's always bigger. That's why it's always important to have an open mind in music. :)
Thanks for the words man!

I love the laid back presence this has (ended up turning up my speakers just a tad so it'd play out with more gusto). No worries mate, I just had 'em turned up about 40% at the start. When I go to max 'em out they really pick up. And the high's even start getting that fuzzy distort sound signaling that they're about to clip (that's just on my system though, so I'm just throwin that out there for you to watch out for on other systems on yer end).
Anyways, the vocal snippets on this were dead-on (and were kinda what I was talking about on one of the earlier reviews I sent ya not that long ago). The 'Listen' & 'Yo' ones were my fave. The drums were quite nicely done too and they gave me an idea which I'll share (for use on here or wherever).
I was thinkin it'd be seriously bad @$$ if someone were to drop out the bass, the hats, and the kicks- to just have the snare workin mad percs for an isolated stretch. Kinda like that vocal isolated break I was talkin about before, but longer and with the drums. And this way you could do an in-out, in-out, 1-2 punch with the drum sequence. EG, start out with just the snared part of drums (2), bring back the whole drum loop (1), swap back to just the snares (2), switch over to whole drums (1), stutter step the kick and start reintroducing other elements of the song...
Or something like that, you know, haha. Anyways, this was pretty sweet stuff here mate. Keep crankin 'em out. Later on!
Yeah man, you got some serious imagination - you should get on making some DnB :P
Yeah I'm definitely trying to get a higher quality sound going so theres no clipping or distortion! Nohting like a song you can listen to and it be like the wind on a beach with the light tickle of sand sifting between your toes and the large sighs of the ocean. That's how clear I'd like the songs to come out as - maybe not with that atmosphere but with the focus of clarity :)
Thanks for the kind words man!

This track is slammin'. Reminds me of Dj DB. I still have that cd around here somewhere. This track is intense with its attacks and decays & elevations and declines. Radical :)
I have no idea who Dj DB is but I'll definitely take that as a compliment! It's amazing how some people see what others intend not to even put in it :)
Thanks again, I'll hit up one of your tracks!!

Description : Chaos....Chaos ensues when life is unfolding in many different ways all around you. A demand here, a demand there, do this, do that, things going wonky or all happening at the same time. It's overwhelm but it's excitement, it's crazy but it's also very real. Welcome to the world of Kay-0s!

Description : In 2015 I made a dubstep track called Labyrinth Of The Absurd. This is part 2. Check out part 1 if you haven't yet. This is a Dark D-n-B. Or whatever.
I used Serum, Massive, Sylenth1. I used no presets, and no prefabricated loops. This is all original content from scratch. The only exception being the vocal samples.
Description : Ambient breaking into dnb I guess. All loops (except for 1 synth by my 7 yo daughter) so I can’t take much credit for this. Free demo loops from Loopmasters and LM loops from:
the inimitable blindwolf2; ambient bass loop - danke; arax; l-3436512-0214678; apollo; drmistersir; looperman-l-0291301-0226917; looperman-l-2972616-0231648; jakebur4; looperman-l-0337508-0047278; buffalonugalus; mmedia
Description : 170 BPM drum 'n' cell epic. That's drum 'n' bass with lots of my layered, lead cello playing. It's both banging and chilled out, with intricate basslines and soaring, melodic cello parts. Instruments: electric cello, piano, three synth basses, two synth pads. Drums are loads of drum loops supported by a few programmed acoustic drum kits. It's fast and powerful stuff but there are also two deep grooving half tempo sections. No guitar so anything that sounds like it might be is, unsurprisingly, cello. This was fairly hard to make and required a lot of hard work. It's still far from perfect, especially the rather abrupt, unimaginative ending (I couldn't think of anything better). Have a good listen and then consider leaving me some fascinating feedback. Not much drum 'n' cell about so I like to think this is worth checking out...
Description : This track uses lyrics written in Morse Code, with tempo and pitch adjustments to fit. I’ve also programmed some Morse into an analog synth part.

Description : So ive been listening to alot of dnb lately, and i decided to try my hand at it. It turned out to be alittle more chillout than I wanted it to be, but I still like how it turned out.
A ambient type of DnB track, one to make you think, Second attempt at the DnB genre for this year, again apologise to Drum and Bass artist, guessing again not your normal DnB.Used flute Rhodes Piano, and a few other bits to hopefully get the feeling for the piece I wanted, along with a few break beats/bass lines and FX etc...
Please comment/review and the favour will be returned...
