Description : Basically iv been trying to learn a new style of playing on acoustic guitar..basically you play a chord and tap out a melody. I came up with this after a daft mess about with the style. Im nowhere near good at this style yet but i hope to get better!.
This track is me and my acoustic...and the birds from outside my room that wouldn't shush while i was recording...so decided to record them and stick them in the track to fill it out a bit.
let me know what you think!

Fantastic Chris...you know how it's meant to sound and my respect for your guitar ability grows with every track...and when you do sing,it's the whole package.
woah!! This song is amazing!!! I don't know what your talking about this sounds amazing!! Would you mind if i tried to sing on top of this? let me know man all your tracks are so great man!!
awahhh thanks Jonathon =D
ermmmmm i kinda made this for my girl so i don't want anybody messing with it...i dunno i'm just being daft :/
Thank you loadssss for the compliment man =D
Thank you for listening and reviewing too :)
This is very cool, a bit like Antoine Dufour, and Andy McKee if you don't know who they are check them out on Youtube they are amazing and make me wish I never learned to play guitar because they are so good. I always wanted to play a tapping style but it is way out of my league. Great Job on this sounds very good, nice and relaxing.
Hey! Ye iv heard of them both...they both bloody brilliant! You can play this style..its not very hard haha you just need a lil practice and you can do it..trust me :)
Im working on one thats got singing in it and tapping atm..i have the music..but not the lyrics and melody yet haha but you should check out some of my singing ones and let me know what you think! off to check out your tracks now!
Made me feel like I was chillin' with you in a beautiful park. Wanted some lyrics to sing along :D (Well, probably just some oooh's and aaaah's to harmonize and not take away from the guit.)
So nice to hear acoustic guitar playing cleanly. I have a Mitchell one I bought last year.
'Tapping' is what I call what your doing. Steve Vai and many other rock guitarist also do it. I have done some, but I am not good at it as it takes practice. However, it sounds like your on your way.
The birds in the background weren't a distraction to me. Even added to the ambiance to it all I feel, if anything.
I think you did a very nice job and hope you'll do more.
Randy
Via is pretty cool..i prefer satriani over via though...via is too flashy haha
Ye it is more or less just tapping while holding a chord...its pretty easy to be honest!
Mitchell guitar woo iv seen a few of them...theyre pretty! i own a Takamine myself...i love it to bits! best acoustic iv ever played...i had to buy it haha
Thank you for the review and thanks for listening randy!
you didn lie when you said you wer going to check mine out!! haha
Thank you for a nice review good sir..i think i will listen to your other ones and give my in depth opinion on the song!
chrilsh, I have to first agree that your clean tone and the way you have worked on developing this chord-melody tapping makes this so enjoyable to listen to and even more so if one is also a guitarist...beautiful melody and textures, this is great work!
thanks for sharing this man!
victormusic01x...in the nyC...trying to get this voting stuff right
Wooo a vote =D thanks man!
haha ye im a guitarist lol. im working on a new one like this...im trying to develop this style..BUT ITS HARD!!! its difficult to put percussion into it and play scalic runs at the same time...im trying to get the boxed off lol
Thanks for the vote and taking the time to listen :)
Nice style, nice touch. This track has great atmosphere and a relaxing effect. Seems like a great deal better than just "messing around" to me. Good work!
haha it was just messing about :p sometimes i get massive spurts of creativity..and the rest of the time i cant write crap haha :p
But i am proud of this song....i like pretty sounding things haha
I have attention deficit when it comes to music so it takes a lot to keep my interest. This definitely did with the variety and the changes that happen right when they are needed. It was relaxing and yet musically interesting at the same time. That is perfect. Put out more like this. I also like the bird background. I made me feel like you were tapping out a tune on the front porch on a summer day. Awesome. Kper
haha thanks for the comment buddy. i do often go into the back garden and play guitar...usually try and draw something in from different surroundings...now and then it works :p
Im glad it kept you interested and i will try and make more songs like this!
hahaha bud...just wow, ive seen this playing style before, and attempted it a couple of times, but i couldnt get the hang of it...you blew it away. spot on man...beautiful as neverland bud...im really digging your stuff.
hey matt! thanks for the comment buddy i always appreciate it when you take your tome to listen to my songs coz i think a fair few of yours are amazing! im trying to get this style to a higer level...im only at step one so far out of like 10 :p....been youtubeing exorcises for it haha
Thanks again buddy!
Man this is seriously awesome...great tone and feel. Very nicely done. I would love to collaborate on some tracks. This is very clean...great recording the birds are a good touch or maybe more robots. I have a track with frogs.
you do not have a track with frogs!..you made me look then haha :p...i was thinking about putting robots in it and giving it more of a terminator feel :p i really need to get a song started for you to sing on dude...i think i will get that started tomorrow :p..gonna have a dabble in the rock genre i think...if you have anything in mind man send me it over and i will see if i can do something with it! cheers for the listen martin!
This is the very first acoustic track that Im fav'ng. I mainly do hip hop and chill out but on occasion I'll stop and check out an Acoustic track ... Well, the peacefullness you acquired with this display is unmatched, for real. I really dont know what else to say about this other than the ambiance of the birds tying everything together, it worked nicely. I have a track that Im almost done with where I incorporated birds within a forest and after hearing this Im sticking with that. If I were you, run with this style as well as your others. Keep doin your thing.
wow thanks for faving it buddy and thanks for giving it a listen! il have a listen to your track when its done..i dont really give hip hop a chance to be honest but im gonna have a dabble :p
Thank you for your kind words!
Even tho the birds were a nuisance to you. They add a really great ambiance to the composition. Beautiful acoustic playing! Liked the tapped harmonics and the reverb.
haha ye they wer doing my head in...but i thought sod it il use em!..took ages to get rid of the rest of the noise...like the cars and stuff...had to EQ them out lol
thanks for a nice comment man :)

Description : Again, another early production from like two years ago. I had a cheap little Yamaha acoustic guitar that I borrowed and mic'd and some congas that were given to me as a birthday present. I used my iPad GarageBand app to record the strings and the big bass drum thingy at the interlude and little electric guitar parts in there too haha. All the vocals were done by myself and my brother throws in some little things here and there with his voice :P Enjoy!
Description : A rhythm guitar track I made and sent to my cousin on the East Coast. Made with Tape-A-Talk app. from the Google Play Store. Download and collaborate with it.
