Yeah good vibes spew from this one in my mind. I have a buddy that stops by the house now and again and he has written some really nice vocals to this. Talking about growing up poor good story about it. But he never stays long enough to record it. Pretty sporadic dude I guess.
Yeah I dig groovy stuff like this. I got a few new boxes of old records prior to making this track. I was jammin oldies and disco type shht for a few weeks. Just infectious. I imagin all the coked up polyester wearing fools getting to this. lol
Right on. Ive been feeling the summer vibe now that spring is in full effect. Happens every year lol. I have a spring/summer collection of tracks. Glad you like it man! Thanks for listening! much appreciated!
This has a nice 70's feel to it, the OJays or something like that, a bit of the disco/mowtown vibe that was happening back then. This took me back a few!! Nicely produced as well.
Thanks man! Def a 70's feel! Ive been into sampling like crazy so when I do decide to make an all original track stuff like this happens. I love that late 70's early 80's soul/funk vibe. I dont know what it is about that era but I dig the shht outta it. Thanks for the kind words and the reveiw man!
I am not going to say anything negative about the MC, because that is some true talent.
But IMO (and you know what they say about those, and ..... *well, I will skip that graphic joke that just popped in my head....oh and your welcome*
Now where was I?
OH!
I think this track innnnn-parrrrr-ticcccc-ular, is too strong for his voice if that makes sense.
I would have liked to hear him on some of your other tracks.
Again, this is just my opinion.
Nothing negative towards the MC
(and you know I speak my mind on comments...lol...often regretting it,;)
Lol,...Thanks for the honest opinion. Honesty is valued by me. I have another really old track dude and I worked on about a year ago. Other than that this is the only track I have collab with dude on.
hmmm .... I would add a harder bassline to it, as it is the bass sounds more like out of a dance track than industrial ...
other than that it's a cool track, drum work is great, the production as a whole too ...
I like it!!!
Thanks for the reveiw man! I wasnt really trying to make an industrial song but it has sorta shaped into one. Thats why I put it uder the industrial genre. I really would rather not label the track genre wise but had to. lol. What do you suggest bass wise? I dont even know where to begin.
Awesome deal, glad I could help for sure! Most people take stuff like that as negitive critisizm instead of seeing that im trying to help them make there stuff more than what it is!
Well those that would think that stuff like that is negative are retarded. Some people just think they know it all. Those are the same people that dont know shht. Thanks again for the killer review!!!!
Mainly i just use samples of misscellanious acoustic drums when im making beats for metal tracks (search that bay for pirates for a certain pirate named artytorrent) try to listen to a few of your fav metal tracks and find drums that are similar then just build up a kit that sounds realistic, even look at pictures of there drums sets consider virttual placment panning as it corelates to a real set and stuff..
Alot of it is in the fact that i can play real drums and that helps me make decisions on whats realistically possible and feesible also when i program fake drums i imagine playing on a real or trap kit and visualize what my hands and feet would be doing and i try not to make anything myself or someone else couldnt replecate without 4 arms given the sticks samples and a nice trap kit! but somtimes i just throw reproducability to the side for sake of beutiful mechanical noise!
I think your rock drum beats just need a little vari/altern/ation, stuff like instead of repeating a 4 step drum pattern 8 times to back a 32 step guitar riff try doing like 4 differnt 8 step drum patterns or 2 16 step patterns you know, and make every measure a little different, your main drum beat could be broke into two or four variations with slightlty different snare and bass rolls and down beats but still match the guitars and have maybe some that cut off or buildup stuff like that, just anything you can do like that adds alot of realism!
good intro twinkling i like it this one almost has the bass i wanted from the other track haha! I definatly like the surf action!
Thers a lot of movie audio samples on here does this mean i can find a cam version of it now?
Oh yhea... the pan FX are a sweet touch!
The not over complexed drums seem to not bother me at all on this track cause of all the changes ups in the verses and stuff!
Good track all around i like it! the outro is a great fiale as well
Thanks again for the feedback. The sound clips I used didnt come from the Zombieland movie. It doesnt come out till Oct. 2nd I think. I was looking for copies of it myself and found nothing but trailers for the flick. Yeah I need help with the drums for sure. What do you use for your drums? Any specific plugin or something like that?
Sick-Ass track.Sweet guitar work and loved the Background samples,A Great track for the upcoming Halloween season.Always been a big fan of Zombies.I think I own just about every zombie movie ever made,I use alot of samples from them in my tracks.Slammin Track-Faved.
If you love zombie movies you gotta check out the new one ZombieLand. It looks funny as hell. Cnat wait to check it out! Whenever you wanna collab let me know. However you want to go about it is cool with me. just let me know what you wanna do. My e mail is: conan_swanson@yahoo.com
how about the "RealStrat vs FL Slayer vs An Actual Guitar" kinda track. like start it with guitar, send it over, i'll transition into the plugins, i'll send it back, you transition and finish with guitar. what do ya think?
WOW dude - that was HOT . Dude assignment: redo that Yeah Yeah Yeah's track I redid, on your guitar. ;) Cheers!! WAIT:: Let me revise that - I don't want to assume that you want to "redo" anyone's song. So I take it back, what I was really thinking was how much I want to collab on something with ya, maybe the guitar thing - like I would love to do a "RealStrat vs FL Slayer vs An Actual Guitar" kinda track. What do you think?
Im sure I could redo the Yeah yeah Yeah's cover, but why. Those guys already recorded it and they did it proper like. Im not a fan of playing covers. I enjoy writting my own songs too much. But I wouldnt mind doing a track with you. Just not a cover song.
this is what i'm talking about...people pushing themselves to keep experimenting and taking risks...nice 6 string work bro, the feel is right on, nice mix...but it doesn't go on long enuf!!!
Yeah,...I def need to finish this up now. I wouldnt really call this experimentation for me. Ive been playing guitar and making tracks like this forever now. Hip hop nd stuff is experimenting for me. Thanks for the reveiw!
Lol melt faces? Hell yeah,..all day everyday. Yeah man once I get the guitar squared away Im down for you rippin the vocals. I will get back with you next week. I need to buy new strings and im broke till payday.
Hey man...nice! Grungalicious..if you could sing on top of this as well you'd be nailing this particular sound...whack this gear in front of a huge audience and you can't fail..(post new age ex-surfer grunge) lol...make a whole expanded version..thumbs up..cheers planet :)
Thanks planet! Yeah man I think the hip hop stuff is starting to bore me. I have played rock stuff for years. I grew up in the 90's (im 27) so I love that grunge feel. I kinda cant get away from it. But thats ok with me. I think Im going to start making more guitar inspired tracks. Thanks again for the kind words!
Please tell me you didn't complete this yet. I know I owe you a track but I would Love to get down on this. Let me know. I'm feeling this real chill and easy to spit to
Nah havent completed it yet. I sent it to Lato and crew awhile ago but havent heard nothing back. I will send it your way. You want the hook in it or do you want me to take it out?
i like this shit right here the beat bangin. i would to collab wit you on dis joint. you from the Ill hunh man. my homie live out there now. i dont know exactly where. but i got love for the whole Ill though cause my boy out there holdin down for the DMV. keep up the work.
I would say Im down but I sent it to Lato and comapany already. I will get a collab in with you at some point im sure. You got some tracks with your on the mic?
damn...this is hawt, i listen to old school hip hop and i have to say this is really close if not it is old school, i like the organ and drum, your good man..i gotta give you daps for that.
golf clap on this one. Let me know when you get someone to do the verses. I have no suggestions for this one. Must mean you’re on the right track with it.
Is that you on vox?
Golf clap? Lmao!!! Funny shht! Yeah Lato asked me about this one so I sent it to him. I will let you know when he gets back to me with it. Yeah thats me on the vox. Im kinda a jack of all trades when it comes to music.

Description : Something i did when i was about 15, and when i still made beats. This particular track is actually the reason i decided to get into composing at all. I had a good run with the beats and hip-hop scene, but i always had a leaning more towards composing and this, i think, is the catalyst for that revelation. This beat is 9 years old, and gives you a sense of what it was like to be a young, passionate, musically driven teen. Thank you.
