Description : About three months now since I started this song... And I STILL havent finished it because im not sure what to do with it. This was inspired by the track "dance with me" by Blake Reary and Laurie Webb. It uses 2 of Fl's drum loops. One is Faxing berlin and the other is autophresh. Everything else (incuding the pad at the beggining) is mine.
I know its repetetive, which is why it needs vocals. To make it more... Interesting, I geuss.
The VSTs used are Genesis (thats the pad) refx nexus (prety much all of the other synths) Fl studios drum samples.
If you can sing please try to make an acapella for this song. I am terrible at lyrics so i cant help you there, but the BPM is 128.
Enjoy!

I won't be getting vocals on this though, this is a really old song and I'm not willing to mess around with a track below my current standard.. as in I don't want to go back into my past, sorta.
I would, but this is so out of date now. Its been ages since I've made a track under 150bpm, so I probably need to re-try dancey housey stuff. This was a pretty good one at the time, but I'm somewhat ashamed of it now.
Thanks for the review though!
Excellent, it worked fine today. That was a fun ride. Great sounds, transitions and production. Mostly I like its upbeat feel. Not a lot of songs get me groovin in my chair, but this one did.
It shouldn't do. It should be about 4 minutes long. I geuss if you want the rest of the track you could download it (I'm geussing its either the site, your flash player or your internet? Or my tracks messed itself up, lol)
It does clip.. and quite regularly. Unfortunatly theres nothing I can do about it now though. I wouldn't image you'd be playing it that many times as it is kinda repetitive.
You can do WONDERFUL things with automation as drum and bass has taught me.. I try and think of it all like a LIVE experience?
You know?

The eq Solo was awesome like apple sauce on pork chops.
You could possibly find some multiple eq's to "provoke" a vocal?
It can work on the bass and your cymbal EQ region?
just saying.
Just look deeper into your mixes. Save many times and go off on tangents.. Look for symbols within archaic structures of melody.
You rocked it on this.
Focus on the rump of the track not the sparkle, you definitely have that covered. This is awesome.

yeah, the EQing on the drums and on the bass is WAY off on this track from the sound I originally wanted, simply due to the fact that when this was originally made in 2009 I didn't even know how to EQ (well, except for on EQUO on the pad sequence thing, but I don't think that counts)
The EQ part that you described was fl studios EQUO plugin with some automation on the band shifter. I just analyzed the pad then shifted it, nothing too special but I thought it sounded nice.. still do, its an effect I think I need to retry.
hey stephen i just wanted to give u some advice if ur still stuck with ur music tracks, tryin thinking outside box in a sense where ur thoughts and style of music are ignored and just let the sounds come to u and also try hear the melody voice and let it make itself along with ur other sounds(thats what i do when i get stuck LOL)
I'm managing to produce now, I'm just messing about with different styles, I'm getting a lot of ideas now, just gonna try and wait before uploading them.. thanks for the suggestions though!
hey what the hell one mroe review can't hurt lol.. love the use of effects in here ste.. showing your skills in this one, nice work in all would love to hear this with vocals
Hey mate, this track is pretty fine as it is. I think you got a good melody and it all fits well. I can listen to this all day, you got the right sounds and all well put together.
I am still learning FLS i not used it before, but everyone tell me to use it cause i will have even better tracks. Hmm i must be the only person not using FLS, it's a learning curve, still getting my head around it.
Look, I`m gonna say what the others wouldn`t because I`m trying to be a real friend here. I will tell you what you have to do to this track to make it better and you may not like it.
Are you ready
Leave it alone. It is a sweet track just as is. Needs nothing.
Hey Stephen...sorry I havent heard one of tracks for a while, but glad I found this one! Nice synths and the intro was well delivered....there is a vox sample on here called "dance with me" by elina milan that would fit

Wow, lots of reviews on this one! I really enjoyed the bounciness of this track, definitely lives up to the dance genre. Great bass line! Those sound effects are quite cool too! You really know what you're doing! I'd love to hear this with some killer vocals too, but it's top notch as it is. Nice work!
Sorry for all the late replies, I've been REALLY busy recently. I think I may have mentioned already that I lost half the sounds in this track, but I'm not too fussed because now I can make the track sound better, a remake is on its way.. don't know how long it will take.
there are some nice ideas here for me that drum tracks needs to be thicker.. that kick should do exactly that KICK...it should be BOOM >>BOOM>>BOOM it's needed to drive the track along.. the other sounds work great and all seem to have their own separate spaces... don't get me wrong I enjoyed the listen it just lacked that depth that you would expect from a dance track... keep 'em coming brother
Ok. I think its sade to say with this many reviews, something has to be done with this track. I think I probably need to retry this now I've got better at making certain parts stand out, and believe me I'm going to do something to this now, a complete remake I think.
Thanks for the review, expect a remake soon, and I'll send my demos to you soon as well once I get them all finished.
Since I lost REFX Nexus a few months back, I haven't thought of doing anything to this track as a lot of the sounds used I don't actually have any more. But a piano would have been a good idea.
Thanks for the suggestion, but its unlikely that I'll ever get anything for this track.
Hey man you've been reviewing my stuff and answering my posts and etc, and i thought "Holy crap i havent even listened to one of his songs!" So, Ste, my turn. This track is fantastic, and i agree it could use some lyrics but its still excellent as is. I think i might try to implement some lyrics that are here on looperman for this song for ya and email it to ya! Anyways the sound is excellent, i love how the volume will sortof lower and get more bassy and then build back up it sounds really good. hope ya come out with some more music gold soon! -Gabe
Did I review? I'm uncertain if I actually had. I'll review anyway (man I owe a lot of reviews :P) I'm glad that you liked the track, sadly I don't have many of the sounds used in it any more thanks to my terrible laptop messing up Nexus. But if I was to do anything then I'd remake this track.
Well, im into dance and techno stuff and this track is pretty good, i don't think it needs much vocals as such, if u want it to really stand out, i think a little change in the middle and a work up to the main part will do it. Ya the wobbly bounce is good.
anyway, I really like it comes in with those fx at 0:30
(I hope you that faxing berlin is originally from deadmau5?)
One thing that (i think) you should change is the synth kinda sounds in the very beginning of the track. they should be mastered better or something cuz they sound kinda distorted..
and I think lyrics could make the track better, yes.
but lyrics could also maybe ruin the track.
be careful with you decisions ste! ;)
I honestly do not know how I this track got so many reviews. I'm happy with it though. I think there used to be more, but people have left the site since then. I did mention I used faxing berlin and autophresh in the description. I lost most of the synths after my laptop lost Refx Nexus, so finishing this track is unlikely. But I think you're right about lyrics, but 8 months after the original upload no-ones offered vocals yet. Anyway, thanks for the review!
not really my style of music but i like the bouncy pad throughout the intro and rest of the song. i get bored easily and i made it through the whole track so thats good :) great job.
First I just have to apologize for having your tracks on my own back burner for so long. The sheer volume of music on this site gets really daunting for me at times and it sets up procrastination cycles that aren't very cool.
You have a good ear, and a good sense of timing. With what I'm hearing here, it's pretty obvious that if music keeps your interest you're going to have skills in another ten years that'll make us all jealous. Yeah, at 14 ten years sounds like a long time, but that's the nature of relativity. Keep at it - it's worth it.
Really impressive work here. I promise it won't be nearly so long before my next review!
You don't need to apologize, I looked at your songs because I was interested in different genres which I hadn't actually heard of before. I didn't know what dub was till I came to this site and I still don't fully understand it. 10 years does seem like a long time, for me its almost a lifetime, but there are two places that I'm going to get musical help from, here and my school, so thats one good thing.
I got no plans on going back to xbox gaming like I did before, and now I got airsoft off my hobbies, musics become my one and only interest.. apart from eating, drinking, sleeping and the occasional PC game like beat hazard, and even then its a music game.
Thanks for the review, I'll be glad to see more of your songs!
Thanks for reviewing, I think yout probably right, between yourself and 24 other loopers, you've summed up just about everything that happens in this track!
Yeah, Holly is awesome, but if I was to continue this track a lot of the synths would end up changing, my craptop lost refx nexus, which was the basslines and the second wierd synth pad thing.
Ok, I'm actually going off in a few minutes, its about half 10 over here and I haven't got to much sleep recently, but I'll probably end up working on it another time.
Unfortunaley though, this song isn't going anywhere anytime soon, unless someone randomly sends me some vocals, but I've lost almost all of the sounds used in this one.
This was a freaking toe tapper! loved the whirly bird effect that started the ball rolling ! very cool indeed!
The ending was a little sudden kinda like falling off of a cliff without getting hurt though LOL ! Cool Tune
not bad u sure knowwhat ur doing like the intro as the track gets into a smooth transiton.it also has trancey vibe to it but not much(cant stand trance techno person)the track overall is solid great to listen
Yeah.. Still haven't done anything with this song since I uploaded, the only thing I can think of doing is changing the levels of sound, messing around with the actual sounds etc.
Brilliant work Stephen like the little ufo taking off effect, well mastered. You said it's repetitive but thats electronic music for you ,it's the subtle changes and effects which make the difference, one again great work.
Mate this is good stuff, arrangement and clarity is first class, your one talented dude,Synths everything fitting so well together, great work my friend, mate I can see where you are at about the vocal, but in saying that I do like it as it is, but with vocal would take it to another place, looking forward to hearing version with vocals when you get some, this one is fav'd mate...Peace...Estefano...
This is ace, I like the fading you use, it's like it's getting clean and then dirty again, if you know what I mean. Really good, I think it's great even without vocals but then I like instrumental stuff soooo each to their own. Really enjoying it :)
Hey this track is right up my alley....I sing pretty much everything so it fits lol. I'm gonna hit this up tonight and send at the speed of light soon. This will be fun.
hey stephen whats up man? i saw that you are a new producer so i thought you were worth a listen. nice work on this track bro feeling the groove and its got a nice vibe. i like the whole production. i saw your forum about your studio to lol. mine is such a pos. its just a mac on garageband. i have some old headphones with the speakers nearly blown out and a microphone that is really nice (250 bucks). i really dig this track anyways lol sorry i got sidetracked but nice work sir
Of all the tracks I listened to, I like this one the most, but it is neither classified as drum and bass or trance, so I couldn't really use it in your forum post, but really like all the envelopes and such that you use, really nice to groove on. Check out my remix of Dance With Me sometime.
I agree with you, but yeah, this really was just an experiment, but Im glad people enjoyed it, Including you and three people below. I'll happily check out the remix, because you did what I asked you to do :)
I really like it. You should definitely try to get some vocals going like Daft Punk-style or something. That's what it reminds me of. I think if you put vocals in, definitely make them more of an instrument than a voice track. It would add a lot of energy to it if done right.
Description : I have been using LooperMan for practice for some time now. This my most recent track. The only loop in the song is BabyGee's vocals. Free to download and if you repost tag me so I can share it as well.
Description : A psychedelic techno cello epic. It's not really techno as it's only 110 BPM but something like that (eg breakbeat), with lots of banging beats and arpeggiated acid synths, plus a whole load of my layered cello playing techniques. There aren't that many synths used but they do a lot of work and are carefully automated. No guitar. Drums are mostly a lot of drum loops, supported by a few programmed acoustic drumkits. Very busy and complicated with loads of different sections (funky, chilled, fast, heavy) that make up a constantly progressing trip. I don't know if there's any other cello music like this so let me know if you think there is. Interesting feedback appreciated - criticism, praise, ideas etc. Enjoy...
Description : Summer type dance track, for those precious 2 weeks off, if you can get them! Made around a selection of different loops and some keys from me.
Description : Inspired by an experimental percussion piece I heard. Rhythmic ticking builds into pounding beats and heavy soundscapes. I haven't done any mixing or mastering yet so tell me what you think. Any and all comments are welcome.
Description : A song about a damaged soul. Sadly, based on a true story. Gorgeous loops here are by Hardstyle Rythm, Aboe, and Princess Hollywood. All basslines by that fiendish genius Rasputin. Take a bow, gentlemen
Description : Pretty basic dance track. Was experimenting with the Falcon synth plugin, hence the name. Instrumentation for the melody lines might be a bit unusual, more orchestral. Vocoder is from the Icarus synth plugin, a great new instrument.
Description : Hello everyone here's a song from my album anymore that really is near and dear to my heart I hope you guys and enjoy it and never let anyone bring you down or tell you that you are good enough!

Agree some vocals will make it more interesting though.
the growly bass at 1:30 ish is pretty cool too.
