Description : 06/Feb/2010 Update: Updated the track with changes as suggested by several reviewers. Lowered the reverse piano that was overpowering - Jahknow's suggestion. Also added a bit of distortion as suggested by Michael (still experimenting so it was added on a single area @3m43s). I added 4 additional SFX in certain areas(@1m44s, @2m, @3m12s, 3m58s). Corrected some levels a bit. Added an ending kick that was missing from the last version and some minor panning changes. The changes are minor but they do add quite a nice fullness. Slowly but surely, as they say.

Hey everyone, I've been working on this track since January literally every day. It is the only track I have been working on non-stop and it has somewhat become a headache to work with. lol. I finally have something I can consider complete. I had allot of ideas in mind and several certainly managed to make their way into the track while others, unfortunately, i was not able to include, primarily due to poor planning on my behalf. Basically, some things I thought were "final" and were done in such as way that is now very difficult to go back to and adjust. Lesson learned. :)
I wasn't sure of the genre but it's somewhere between ambient, glitch/idm, and progressive electronica. I wanted to have as much variation as possible in the way things flowed and hopefully I accomplished that. I also applied a few things I've learned with regards to clarity and levels and hopefully the track sounds nice, rich and punchy as well. Please let me know how your speakers react.
This is also my very first glitch-styled track. Might do another to learn more and apply some ideas not able to be added to this project.
And I guess that is all. I really hope you enjoy and please any ideas or suggestions are really welcomed. I struggled a bit with developing the track so please share your ideas.
Thanks.

If you have time take a listen and give siensystem some feedback.
I have to be honest.. the simple motif (psh) .. the drums.. alone had to be a jigsaw.. I always admired that .. I always like.. Trying to accept that you were baddass, and that I shouldn't stir the pot unless it was getting cold.. and I took the LinnDrums to the extreme with some 808.
I played some real violin too..
I was gonna e-mail you, but it's been a long while.. April since you where on, and my e-mails are a current mess.
Anyway.. this song, despite your general apathy has a lot of emotion.. I often wondered what 5 centimeters really meant you know... In a lot of ways.. I think I do..
But..
I will never forget you man.. If nothing else... I have all yer e-mails printed out and I always look fondly on your work... The universe and some of the bass excursions you did back in the day lol...
Cheers man, no worries if you don't like it!
It's basically RAPING your idea.. ... It's the only way I could make it work for me lol
Yeah, you can really tell you've put the effort in here. Unfortunately I had to listen to this quietly, but mixing sounds absolutely fine. I'm enjoying that mega glitchy beat, sounds like it was more work than a few copy+pastes. Usually I would've said something about those horrible fake violins, but somehow it really works in this track. It was a great melody, and very nice subtle harmony with the keys underneath.
yeah these glitch tracks can be tough to make but with patenice u plulled it off, nice to see u used advice from reviewers it make us better when when accept cirtsim good or bad, this track is okay its different form all the other glitch song(u adding the soft panio part to the glitch track I meant)i'll the update a B++
Thank you sir. This track certainly was a bit of a pain. Since all things were done the old-fashioned way: splicing, cutting, pasting, etc. But glad it turned out ok. It was also my very first track with the glitch-style genre so hopefully for later projects I can apply what I learned a bit better and broaden them further. Though I'm not certain I'd like the experience again. lol. Anyway, much appreciate your kind words.
Thanks ALX_SIX, Thanks so much for coming by and commenting! Really appreciate it. I have honestly never heard of Apex Twins, but I take it they are great? :) Well, thanks again, much love.
totally agree with DextDee; this is some of the cleanest [while still being filthy] glitch i think i have ever heard. you have so many elements in this track, but they do not seem to be in competition with one another. the break at 2:00 is refreshing...a moment to close your eyes and breathe.
outstanding composition.
uber kudos!
Ooh Oasisduke on my page! :) Thanks so much my friend. Greatly appreciate you for coming over and commenting. I have allot of work to do to get allot of the great suggestions into the next revision but hopefully soon. :)
Thanks very much my friend. Glad you liked the melody sections. I spent allot of days, trying different notes and variations and this one was the one I was happy with in the end.
Play with your drone is the ONLY thing I'd have to offer up Sien. It impedes just slightly overhead on the string melody. -1,2db might do it. Maybe just my speaker setup too?
I doubt it to be your speaker setup Jahknow. You are absolutely correct. I will adjust in the next update. Listened today with my ears fresh and you hit that on the nail. Thanks for the positive words and very much appreciated observation.
I'm pretty in line with all the previous reviews - this is a devastating track. I would contend that it could use more glitch though. If you doubled the strings and roughed em up even for a second or two at the ley lines now that would be gritty! Awesome work, man - thanks!
Thanks Michael, I have added your ideas to my list and certainly hope to update this one with all the feedback I've received. I appreciate that you've listened. Thanks!
Hey cool MrSeinway......I like the Eastern motif running through this piece it lends a certain gravitas not usually associated with Glitch..I think to be fair this track really needs to be assessed in two parts, conceptually and the more pragmatic nuts and bolts of mastering.
There's a multitude of sounds in this production that on paper would shout out conflict and frequency saturation, but I found ever phrase, passage and audio semaphore articulate and well defined with an overall sheen that delivers up a superb sound experience.
The great enemy of creativity is complacency and on the other hand the opiate of self indulgence resides....There's a great deal of seamless continuity apparent here with enough changes to make for an exciting musical progression....great work on all fronts..cheers planet
i did not know glitch could actually be this clean and dirty as well as nice!
well laced one here. the minor melodies are very catchy. yet still glitchy. well done sir!!
I'm a fan of the violin and I like the way it fit into this track along with the synths. The overall sound came through fine on my speakers except for a bit of low level hum and some sort of electronic popping sounds at the beginning. Maybe you intended that, but if you did I'm not sure I really like that part so much. Otherwise, it's a nice listen; I enjoyed it. -Ken
Description : My first Glitch-Hop track. I found some creepy/eery ambient and atmosphere loops to fit the mood. I was happy with it at first... But once I started to listen to it more, I realized it could've been better. Oh well, what artist hasn't had that thought?

All mixed together in a big blender.
Ultimately it was worth it.

Some hailstorm wine cheers your way!
I hope to someday see you behind blinking lazer lights and fog machines!
keep it up.

PS, this is just a straight up observation, dupe up the strings, and then reverse some, add some delay and then on a few and some cavernous reverb...
after you have an ensemble of string samples, start to intermingle them along the tracks progression?
just a thought.
You know how I feel about this track lol
PEACE LOVE AND TECHNOFORVER
Outstanding track! dled! Thank you!
outstanding composition.

Absolutely brilliant man. Truely 1 of a kind.
