Description : Hip hop-y piano. If anyone wants to mess with this, I'll strip the beat out (if you want) and let you fix that and/or lay down vocals/whatever. I did it in FL8 with mostly free plugins.
All loops are my own, made for this track, excepting the rhythm, which comes from Deadmau5's sample CD (I think) and has been chopped up a bit.
-----
v1.4
More balancing, more playing with the new parts, and a nice open source sample to fit in at the end.
-----
v1.3
Added a timpani sample that plays during the slow parts. Stretched it once and reversed it another time, then worked that in too. The builds should now have a nice full sound.
-----
v1.2
Changed from hip hop to RnB. Added more oomph to the drums. More production throughout. Filled in some of the silences with a bit more bass piano. Added a bit to the builds so they boom into the song.
-----
v1.1
Added effects and some simple levels to the mixer track. Gonna have to keep balancing it though.
----
v1.0
I fleshed it out a bit to the 3:30ish mark; the length helps. I haven't done much to fill it yet, but it has rhythm through the piece, plays with a theme, and it's not four on the floor trance, so I'm pretty happy with it.
Next update I'll record a bunch more takes on the piano and pick the ones that don't get hit with as much hardware delay. It's really hard for me to compensate consistently for a ~20-50ms delay while still sounding the way I want..
-----
v0.1
Delay on a rompler piano, two FL keys pianos with slightly different sounds, and a sliced hip hop beat cut down to half tempo. Maybe the start of something?

now that it is in the rnb, the drums are acceptable. really i like it the second time i am listening to it. nice work again.
the bassline could be a lil more prominent in there to help too.
about good drums, there are like make sites u can get them for free
like trancecommunity, u just have to comment on a post and u can get over 5000 drum kicks. contact me if u need further help.
I've never really understood the genres; I'm not a beat man. I tend to just take a random kick that sounds good from my library or Deadmau5's sample CD as a place holder, then grab a loop I like the sound of and rearrange it. I'm very... white... if you know what I mean?
Thanks for the advice. I'll hop over to trance community and get some kicks. Guess I should delete some crap to save some space.
oo man after the intro, i was expecting some banging kicks like to blow off my mind. but must be honest, was disappointed. was expecting more. but yet still a good track. could u please put it in rnb, koz i think it fits there rather perfectly.
nice work btw. was worth listening.
Any advice on how to get some good drums? I've never been good at that sort of thing; what I have in now is just an off the shelf loop I slice up and rearranged.
In the newest update, I have the bass pulled to one channel with a bass boost compressor, and the highs going to another. It should sound better now (or at least once I upload it).

Description : R&B track inspired by Brody Brown's work on Bruno Mars' new album. Brown would be entirely unimpressed by this track, of course. He's a really fine musician. I've left the electric piano lines that are meant for vocal parts in the track. If ever I found a lyricist and and singer that could do something with this track, I'd produce a backing track version without those parts. Lots of room for a good singer to build on the melody ideas and make it their own.
Description : UPDATED better reverb and warmer studio sound
hi guys, my vocal again on another of Morash' tracks, R&B Hip-Hop. its very delicate, it is a protest song of sort
lyric sheet is available.
I think the next step is to add a real bassline; it feels sort of empty with just the melodic piano just jamming the whole time.
This will probably get updated a few more times tonight/through the weekend. By the time Monday hits, I'll be done(ish), plus... work.
the bassline could be a lil more prominent in there to help too.
