Was fun reading through all the comments from members who no longer visit the site. I enjoyed hearing this track! I thought that the outro did sound very much fusion. All around something I can get into listening too. I dig the Zoom stuff too, and still use their drum machines pretty often. Saw a multiFX from Zoom at a pawn shop the other day for $29, and it was very hard not to buy it... looked a bit beat up though. Just makes me wonder if it's the same one you were using on this track. I like the tone you tuned in! Fun listen, and I hope to hear some new stuff posted up here from you!
You and your son match up great. And yeah, it's adds an extra dimension when collaborating with your kids. Passing on music to the kids is a good thing that becomes even better when they want to do music with dad. It's a sweet feeling.
This track sounds great and I love that ripping solo – fits in perfectly.

Thank you from my son and myself. It was a little scary when we first talked about it cause I didn't know what to play on it..it didn't sound like van halen so it took a few takes lol, but I think i'm out of my box a little more now because of it...sometimes
Great father and son collaboration. Your son has some great engineering on this. I tripped out when it slowed down and went kinda half time. Awesome guitar playing on your part man. Good crunch and some great highs on there. Zoom modules are always overlooked but some great industrial music has been made with them, and outside of industrial also. Goes to show talent cant be replaced by technology. Cheers to your son and you. :D
Thank you so much MCHN.My Son has a new baby now and we haven't done anything in a while but we will.Seems like yesterday when he was just a little looper! That Zoom pedal...we have a love hate relationship goin on.If i'm really careful and turn the right knobs it treats me ok but one wrong move and the sound is gone, people say"you use a Zoom?"and I say it's what I have and if you mess with it long enough you just might find a good sound there...just be sure to save the patch...twice.Thank you for the kind words.
Aside from the song i think the whole bridging the gap of distance and age with your son via music is cool as hell, the song is pretty good too i like the dark funk feel, this definatly has a little bit of a underlying sinister feel about it!
Thanks for listening, yes it's fun to make music with the boy,we just need to do it more often. He gets credit for the song.I'm glad you caught the dark funk vibe.

Firstly congrats on doing a stunning piece with your son, hope that you both can have more collabs, and post here on Looperman,This is one very enjoyable listening, plenty going on, but all working so well together, nice guitar work my friend, poss could have fitted into a couple of genre's this one, rock maybe, synths are very nice, dont mind the drop that was mentioned in other reviews, seems to suit the track, thank you for sharing Allen...Fav'd...Peace and respect mate...PS have new tracks up now myself, one little diff but hoping you still enjoy...Cheers Estefano...
Liked your stuff so much I had to come back for another taste. Keeping in the family..now that is awesome. A father & son team. I am actually teaching my 4 year old to play guitar on a Fender half pint size guitar. Nice progressive sound on this track, guitar work is fantastic. I love the progression, very unique and original. 11/10 (One extra point for doing a song with your son.) - Bilbozo
Thanks Bilbozo.I know I would not have done a song like this without him,we did the song right before I joined this site and I'm now glad I had it to share.I think the time I spend on this site has been good for me,encourages me to climb outa Eddie Van Halens back pocket.
Thanks!my son gets the song credit,I just showed up and played guitar. We were wondering how this song would work since he already started it as a complete electronic song.I told him to just leave me a little room to play. It's hard for me not to sound like I'm a guitar player from the 80's,cause I am!
Thanks for the listen, maybe I shouldn't tell my age but you could hear it anyway!
I like the collab with you and your son. You guys work well together. I see you are also from itty bitty Plant city..LOL...
Me too:) I hope you two create more in the future. I really like the guitar playing, how it coincides with your sons production on FL. Keep up the good work. And good luck on finding work. I know how it is. I got laid off last year for 4-5 months it sucked big time. There ain't much in our area for work...Peace...Blume..
Yea,no work sucks but i'm makin'the best of it and makin'music.I joined this site about a month ago and it's very addictive. If I had a dime for every time I logged on I still wouldn't make a living, but I'd have a lot of dimes...LOL
Have you thought about a strawberry song, are we still the capital of the world?
Thanks for checking out my music.
Allen
wow ... you show mad skills on the axe my friend!!!
great technique, very good licks ...
and the mixture with that electronic sounds from your son is sonic (!!) ... very very good track!!!
Thanks so much,I kinda got lucky again,I had no clue what to do on his track so I jammed on it till it felt right, but thats what I do anyway! That Zoom g2.1u pedal...every time I upgrade to digital guitar fx I spend so much time trying to make them sound like my old analog ones..go figure!
Thanks again
Allen
Excellent track my friend. Even better because its father and son. I've done one collab with my son, Funny Games. Well sort of collab. We put some stuff together then went our separate directions.
The guitar in your track is awesome but there is some kind of fault between 1:30 and 1:45, the music just dips. Anyways, beside that, this is a really sweet piece.
Hey John,If what your talkin' about is the whole song dipping around 1:43 my son did it Intentionally. When I sent the track back to him he added some changes like that,He's been experimenting with electronic music for a while now.The track I recorded to was straight forward.I am old school he is new so all I did was play guitar to his track,it is different for me.My motto is "I may not know what you want but i'll try not to make it sound bad"
Thanks for checkin' it out.
I really enjoyed the tune,The guitar solo was really tastefull.
The drums were on the song and interesting,I was,nt crazy about the overall open room sound on the drum track. I think a tight metal power house sound with a ballsy closed room sound snare might have made the track more over the top,But really all around and really good track.Good deal
I appreciate your review. How it came to be was he has all these songs he has already started or finished to stand alone and I'm just learning to loop,so i just had him send me something to play guitar with, not sure what would work.I think now that we have are feet wet we'll dive in.
thanks.
excelent tune, love the mixture of different styles that you got going here, that's the kind of stuff that I more often than not try to get :)
P.S.: damn boy, you're guitar playing is good!!
This is an interesting and unexpected combination of elements! Love how the sick keys melody and the guitar talk to each other. Awesome solo too!! Hope to hear more of you and your son! Welcome to the loop!
Thanks for the welcome!Yes,your description is appreciated and validates once again that different musical worlds, styles, stages and ages can combine to create it's own...and it's a whole lot of fun!

Description : My grandmother was from Belarus. She was the lone survivor of her family after the Waffen SS massacred everyone in her village during a retreat from the Red Army. She escaped soviet occupied Belarus & through a series of wranglings by the international red cross, found a family to adopt her in New Jersey in 1947. She was 14 years old then. She was the strongest person I ever knew & I miss her terribly. This song is for her.
Description : Not really 'industrial' although some aspects might fit with the genre...generally robots and stuff...hehe...and a hint of heavy metal is also there...:)
Description : I used Serum and Sylenth1 to create all the synths and basslines. It's not dubstep, and it's not Drum and Bass, but it's elements are heavily drawn from both to create an experimental industrial track in it's own class. It's heavy, aggressive, and driving. Either you will like it, or you won't. I don't think there will be an in-between. Take care. V.
Description : It's probably the Darkest Mix I have ever done. Industrial Gothic Lumbering Tune at 90BPM in the style of Nine inch Nails Meets Spahn Ranch.
Description : Another weird blending of genres I am working on. Track was all composed by myself using some sampling and an old 1983 Memphis Strat of which I am totally rusty on due to a serious left hand/wrist injury several years back.
Description : Genre:oldschool game/industrial etc.Fl Studio 9

Description : I uploaded this to my SoundCloud a while ago and fully love this Aggrotech piece and would hope you lot would too, some feedback would be sick as hell :)
Description : Made this years ago as I was changing from Windows 98 to Windows XP. Hard to remember now but XP was one of the greatest leaps forward for home pc users and the stability was so welcome when trying to put this together.
This is purely industrial sounds of machines and tools.
My aim was to make them sound like synths drums guitars and humans. Took me months. The amount of editing and twisting these sounds up down faster slower etc etc to get rythm well I'm sure you can imagine.
Deleted it recently but having just listened to an industrial track someone has put on here I fancy getting back to some serious dirt!
good work overall really likin this one
