Description : In all my time playing i've never recorded an acoustic guitar.
No Tele,Bass,Zoom or fx other than reverb...just stripped down acoustic guitars.I removed the drum track in this final version. Thanks looperfriends,

Hi Allen, I would like to start off by saying I really love you music. I hope things are better for you.
I have a favor to ask. Do you have the music/chores to Road Home? I love the song and I want to learn it. If you do, I will be in your gratatude, dude.
Sorry for the late reply Bear!
Honestly,I can't read or write music notes at all but I would be more than happy to send you the chord changes.
Some of the chords are ones that I stumbled upon so I'll do my best to point you in the write direction.
Thanks for the wonderful complement..just shoot me an email through my contact page and we'll get er done!
Alright Allen, Only me again.
I listened to this yesterday and thought what a splendid tune. I've downloaded it because A: I think it's great and because B: I was hoping you wouldn't mind if i attempted the unthinkable with it? ie. try some sort of remix? I don't have a clue how i'd go about it or what the end result will be like but i guess that's the attraction of it. Will it work????
Anyway, I'll hold back until i get your opinion.
Cheers mate.
Great track, beautiful mix and a bucket load of feeling. As you know I love producing simple acoustic guitar songs, and this one is no exception to the supurb range of sound possible with simplicity. lovely work, keep it up. Faved !
I appreciate your take on this Jkingz.I had a drum sample through out the song and some reviews reflected your comment about simplicity and that the drum track took away from that..they were right and I give a lot of credit to this site and the true and constructive reviews you can get here, like yours!
This was a great listen! I'm with you...I do all this hip hop and other crap on here...but I play guitar and have yet to put up an actual acoustic thing! I'm gearing up to start doing acoustic loops (rock and blues). I like the beginning part and then when you double it up.....oh man! In the beginning I hear a whole different song that could use a 90's hair band flowing lead... you know the one, kinda like Great White. Nothing too heavy.
Nice showcase of your talents my friend! Favd n Saved!
Hey DJ!
I wish I could crank these out more but inspiration means everything when it comes to me and acoustic but reviews like this are very much inspiring and I hope to do more!
Hey,I referred to you in my end of the year challenge song..Up Late..I think you will get it :)
Wow!Thanks so very much my friend,I wish I could live in a state of inspiration that was there when I recorded this.It was everything coming together at the same time cause you're right..it's just yourself and the instrument.
I don't deserve your awesome comments but i'll tell you that I do appreciate it so much because I did put my heart into it and I'm so pleased that it was heard that way,i'm a strong believer in trying to create a feeling and emotion first in music...there's always room for the fun songs and we all play and love them,I'm just happy to occasionally get it right and move someone :)
Thanks again,
JWilson!Thank you very much!I wish I could play these acoustic songs more but it seems to take a certain inspiration that I just can't manufacture... but I am working on it :)
Hey man,No need to apologize...we're all fam here!
I need to get over and see you too.
I'm glad you liked the song. You know how you can make it sound easy when it's really not...this was one of em'...lol.This was not the first take :)
Thank you Charlie!I love Phil,my father was and is a pastor so when I was growing up Phil was one of the first guitarist I found in the Christian community that played that well, and he still is an inspiration and has maintained a wonderful testimony.
Mr V this is stunning, sorry thats all I can say about this baby, instant fav, so loving you on the guitar, doesnt matter what you do on the guitar it is always something special, extreme talent...massive thank you for sharing this piece and your talent....Peace n total respect dude....Estefano....
Thank you Estefano. For a while in my life I played for money and that dictated what and when I played, now I play for enjoyment, sharing and reviews like yours...it would take a lot of money to match that:)
allen this is fricken dope i get caught up in my own form of music, and i forget the beauty of simplicity.. u rocked this track.. thank u for bringing me back to good ol music bro
Thanks man! That's a great complement...I forget too in my"wanting to jam everything up"mode I get into all the time.lol,I appreciate that you appreciate:)
Allen
Oh my friend, thank you for sharing such an inspirational and touching piece of magic and artistry with us. Words cannot express how beautiful this song is. Those chords are simply amazing.
Thank you my friend for those kind words.I wish every song would fall into place like this one did but that's what makes me appreciate the blessing when it does happen. When I'm alone with just the guitar and I realize i'm not really alone...thats where the blessing comes in.
Hey man i really like the chords you use in this. It sounds like you should reallly really reallly add vocals too it! Very sweet mellow guitar playing :) Faved!
Hey Chris! This is a special song for me and I'm so glad you enjoyed it.
I think a vocal would be good...I started looking for my project files so I could remove the lead just in case someone wanted to sing and of course they're gone lol..but I could record the parts with leads again if I had to if they got in the way.
Thanks for the nice complement.
This is one gorgeous acoustic track I just had to download it !! A great sound and song, my gut reaction is that you played this one on the emotional level, hence the title, and as you get nearer to home this comes across in the music. All I want to add is ; how did you get such a pure acoustic sound? If poss I would like to know what guitar/microphone and recording process pls. Thanks for posting this gem of a tune.
Thank you Daniel.I would like to say that I worked very hard for days to create the guitar sound but the truth is I didn't.I used the Tascam DP-008 digital 8tr pocket studio,it has two small built in mics but they do a great job,I sat on my couch and placed the recorder on the arm of it,turned the lights down and played. It really has quality for a 8r under 300$,it runs on 4AA also...which is nice and portable,it is very small.
You are the first person to mention the title...I plan on doing a series of acoustic songs to document this journey as it unfolds, those songs have to definitly be inspired.
Thanks again Daniel and check out that recorder on youtube..I should do a commercial for them as much as I talk about their product...lol.
excellent guitar work my friend, absolutely amazing. There is not a doubt in my mind that you are exremely talented. The sound is very clean, overall very well produced. Keep up the great work!
Thanks!I wasn't sure about an all acoustic song on this site and am glad it worked out and pleased you like it.I would like to eventually make some guitar loops to share, both acoustic and electric...since shareing is why i'm here!
Thanks again.
Allen
yeah, the numbers speak for it self here! very well done! great flow, with the right voice and lyrical idea, this is a rocket!
Keep it up, your on the right track!
Thank you Bm.I know we all as artists get in moods and for me the acoustic seems very specific with it's tone, and even though you can play different styles on it ,there is still a very organic feel and emotion that's hard to recreate on the elec...at least for me.
Is this recorded direct or recorded via mic? Love the mood it onsets. Very crisp and clear tonal ambience. Love that fingerstyle...nothing beats a pair of hands that can do that ! Respect ! - Bilbozo
Glad you asked Bil,check out the tascam dp-oo8,it can run on 4aa bat. and ac,8 digtr. It has 2 built in mics...and this thing is little..utube has videos of it.I can't stand the electronics in this Washburn I have so I thought I would give the little mics a try and the reviews on this thing were right on for it's size and portability..I actualy do everything on it cause it will almost fit in your guitar case and uses sd cards.I don't have a laptop so I have to share puter time with the wife, and thats no way to make music waiting for her to stop chatting and playing on farmville or whatever lol...I love her but a mans gotta do...
The style came out of lazyness I guess..it's gpick and fingers. When I played out and we did an acoustic song I didn't switch guitars, just the way I approached the electric..but I have seen others play that way and I do that now on acoustic as well, there's just things you can't do tho.
thanks for listening Bil.
Allen
Unbelievable, that hit me right in the heart!Everyone is right it is a beautiful piece. That one was right from the soul man, your a hell of a guitar player. One of my favs.I always dug acoustic pieces, heres hopin for more!
Hey Jim,thanks. If there's a downside to playing something unscripted and unrehearsed is that it's hard for me to just do that regularly on acoustic because I don't play it as often. These kind reviews are cause to keep pulling it out of the case though. Now you and kikajon seem to have found your way back...in reference to your song!
Thank you John.I was a little suprised that just the acoustic guitars alone would bring good reviews but the people i've met here are true music lovers beyond their own genres and that's what makes this such a comfortable community.
thanks again.
An ever so enjoyed acoustic song. Inspires me to want to make one myself. Reminds me of a mix of Buckethead and Queensrÿche. Thanks for sharing your talent.
Thank you Kikajon, thought I would try something different. It started out as an experiment with my recorder.I sat in a dimly lit room, shut the door and played. The mics were the ones built right into the Tascam DP-008 digital porta studio.I love this little machine...no bells and whistles but it gets the job done...and can run on 4AA batteries.
Killer sounds man, you are very very very talented, I play mostly acoustic and this blows me away, you should play it more often. Adding this to my favs man, you made me smile while listening to this because it was so good, great job, huge fan from me!!!!!
That means a lot comeing from a fellow guitarist. You know I like your acoustic playing as well and you also know you have to put some heart in it...as you do.People know when your being honest in your music,I like to think you can hear it.I can in your music.I had a couple of comments that it might be better without a drum track and I am so grateful because they were right and those opinions are what we're here for...now if someone thinks I should play it at 140bpm,I must decline.
Thanks for your review,
Allen
I appreciate that and I think I'll do more after the very kind comments...It's nice to know that all music is accepted here and you really don't know what works until you try.
Thanks for listening.
Allen
Really beautiful track Allen!
This is why I love your work, always do something new and you pleasantly surprise me,again, again! you're really talented,(I know that!)
I will download this track, and this track is going to my favorite!
Excellent work!
Thank you Vicen, with a complement like that I'll most certainly do more as my callouses return!
Hey,one of your songs are being featured right now...let me scroll back up...ah,El Mayor Espectaculo del Mundo...I'm on my way.
Very nice guitar playing and great feel comin out from your track, mixing hope and melancholy.Honnestly,I think you should record it without the beat cause it doesn't really serve the whole atmosphere but that's just my opinion
Great track anyway
Cheers
StÃÂphane
Thank's StÃÂphane.I had to edit my reply because I read your review again today and did not thank you properly for your kind words,i'm guilty of the whole not seeing the forest for the trees thing. The technicalities is not nearly as important as you hearing the emotion I felt in playing it and the intended atmosphere,I agree with you and will probably record it again as it was very enjoyable.
Thank you again for the comment.
Update again,I did take out the drums and you were definitly right StÃÂphane...it works better
Thanks,
Allen
Nice job Allen, you should def record more acoustic songs. I just love acoustic guitar music, like you said, no effects to hide behind or rely on, this really shows your talent. Very pretty song, quite enjoyable!
Thank you Wayne, your reviews mean a lot.It was kinda an experiment with my little recorder and now that I know it works well with the acoustic I will do more of it.Hey,are you still feelin like crap?I guess at your age...Oh my...and next Saturday is what?I wish you a good one!
I gotta see if my cholesterol is down tues. The dr asks if I'm eating better and I say yea,yea,yea...sure doc.
Man those guitars sound sweet. Lovely melody and chord progression, reminds me of a Yes or Steve Howe track from the 90's (not a particular song, just that era). Personally, I'd get rid of the electronic beat and have real sounding drums instead.
Thanks Fingers,I know it aint all bad with the mention of those guys.Glad you brought the beat up,I tried to change it after the fact and had a ton of problems...and also a lack of knowledge.Bigger drums also made me want to grab a bass and it started to sound cool, just not the same song,I do hear ya though...I am an old rocker and love real drum sounds.
thanks again.
Allen

Description : Again, another early production from like two years ago. I had a cheap little Yamaha acoustic guitar that I borrowed and mic'd and some congas that were given to me as a birthday present. I used my iPad GarageBand app to record the strings and the big bass drum thingy at the interlude and little electric guitar parts in there too haha. All the vocals were done by myself and my brother throws in some little things here and there with his voice :P Enjoy!
Description : A rhythm guitar track I made and sent to my cousin on the East Coast. Made with Tape-A-Talk app. from the Google Play Store. Download and collaborate with it.
Description : My very first acoustic piece in quite a while..
I hope someone grabs this and puts some vocals to it.
The software I used is Reaper, Addictive Drums and Gearbox.
Hardware is a Jackson RR3 plugged into a Line 6 Pod X3..
Description : Thats my newest Track all made out of free vst of the dsk series. Its a kind of chill out acoustic string thing that makes me thinking. Its very calm, inspirational and gives me power...

The beauty of acoustic guitar is there is nothing to hide behind...no distortion, no Fx, no nothing.
There are songs that are special, and then there are songs that are SPECIAL. This is one of the latter.
Faved and all I can do is stand and applaud.
Beautiful work, no.... stunningly beautiful work.

It's been crazy and busy and hectic lately for me.
This is wonderful.
Minor 2nds are where ALL of the emotion is for me personally, especially as a guitarist.
Awesome finger picking and great subtle use of overdubs.
Almost made it mandolin and 12 stringy!
Beautiful.
I need to get over and see you too.
I'm glad you liked the song. You know how you can make it sound easy when it's really not...this was one of em'...lol.This was not the first take :)
