hey man i only recently started going in dubstep myself. there are two main problems with this track.. the drop isnt loud enough, and dubstep is all about the drop. this sounds nothing like dubstep.
the second problem is with those weird drums that kick in at some points, they are way too loud my meters peaked which means youre track has distorted parts that needs fixing, make sure everything is normalized to avoid that.

as a first try i think you did a very decent job, listen to more dubstep to learn there techniques i recommened sabrepulse and Skism

Thanks Demensha, ive never heard of either of those musicians but i'll have to check them out I suppose. And yeah, I don't listen to alot of dubstep and the only indian music I listen to is the progressive sort of indian funk from the 70's so its way out of my comfort zone but im really glad to hear that you enjoyed it.

ps. your profile picture is awesome

I mean that when your kick drum comes in, the volume of the rest (primarily the lower end that is around the same as the kick) should go down so that your kick has some space. Also, when your snare or cymbals come in the volume of the rest (primarily the higher end that occupies the same or similar frequencies as the snare and cymbals) should go down. This can either be done through sidechain compression (there are plenty of great tutorials on how to do this on youtube) or by manually making it so that the volume of the rest of the track goes down just a bit and just while the drums are hitting. This can be heard in most electronic music (in particular house music where theres a kick every beat) by a sort of pulsing sound. hope this helps.

This is a good track. however, you need to work on some of the levels. The lead kind of sitar sound really dominates the mix and drowns out the first wobble bass that comes in. Also you need to duck your drums at points because there's times when they are buried in the mix. Also the second bass that comes in sounds more like a reese bass than a great wobble bass, maybe tone down some of the detuning. Also, when your synths cut off at about 2:00, I don't know whether you turn up the volume or what but it's way too loud and sounds muddy and distorted and it happens again at about 3:45. This is a really good first track. Nicely done.

Thanks alot man, I was trying to get some more impact but I probably clipped the hell out of it making it muddy. What do you mean by duck the drums? Lower the volume?

And thanks for the advice, ill remix it and get the levels set better.

Description : Faking! - (Prod. BCI)

My first full song (10+ hrs of work) I've made in years.
I blended in a lot of Splice samples but the idea is completely original.

I know it isn't everyone's favorite genre of music but it's definitely mine

Any feedback is much appreciated

Description : If you're looking for Skrillex and his cronies, you've come to the wrong place. It's not that kind of dubstep. This track opens with a nod to my fellow Vault Dwellers and Wanderers of the Wastes, and transitions into a deep, dark celebration of the Horror movie genre. Some of you will get it. Some of you won't. Either way, I hope you all enjoy it. Thanks for listening. Take care. V.

Description : This is my new single! It's a little different style than I'd normally go for (deeper and darker), but I really liked the instrumental, which is my HakaN96, and just HAD to do something.

Let me know what you think of it! My mixing/mastering skills arent the best. I put the song under the Dubstep genre (because of the instrumental) but with all the singing i'm not sure if it's more popish or not. What do you think?

If you enjoyed the song please like my Facebook page! I would love to hear from you!

Description : yep, I made another one. I've been working a lot on my music lately, coming out with new songs in a day or 2 of making them. I took a snip of a minecraft youtuber's video because I got inspiration of another song, with.. the same snippet. I kind of copied the idea, but I didn't add too many vocals. Please, tell me if the mixing is right because something seems off. This is actually my first 6 minute song, idk if I did everything correctly layout-wise. (btw title won't let me put apostrophes)
