Sour .the vocals re stupid right.i like the vocal separation, and they sit well in the mono and stereo field and thats important when somthing is played on some fm stations that only have a mono response to sound.i master myself and you did a good job of using compression and eq-ing.the mix just (to
me)needs a little tuning up
just a little. i think the instrumentation is a little busy but thats because the vocals are so good i want my ears to get the full beneit from them.a word of advice from a old school brother(im at unk status age wise)use people who are not musicians to critic your songs also because musicians disect tunes.non musicians dont have this disease. either it sounds good to them or it dos'nt.great song. PEACE.THE MACK MAN OUT.
Thx for the pearls of wis Mack, had this siting down for awhile, still trying to give the instruments alittle more room/definition from each over, but if you listen to a track as many times as i've heard this, my brain gets alittle frazzled, to the point where i can hear what needs fixing but i can't seem to get it done, you get me?. anyway hhmmm - disection disease huh, i feel a free welfare check coming on. lol. thx 4 the advice/reveiw Mack Man. Sour
i find the whole track fine, i think that the intro yes was a little long after the singing, and in the track maybe bring the vocals just a little up or the arped sound lowered a lil, the latter is more of a better choice. the track is a hit though.

Thanx Dext, im gonna try and tighten this up alittle - doin it all on headphones, so it can hard to judge whats what, especially after two or three hours lol. advice very much appreciated. Sour
Firstly, all that I'm about to say is opinion and preference. As a listener, I find the intro to be a bit long, nothing wrong with how it sounds so far... When the beat actually drops, its such a nice section but I feel like the impact it brings would be better if it happened sooner.
If I were you, I'd make a choice between the synth and the piano when it comes to melody. It sounds as if the two are battling it out with each other to be the loudest. Keep both but there should be one dominant melody at one time. For example, you could use the synth for the chorus, since the vocal seems to work together best with the synth, and the piano shines through on the rap verses. Or vice versa.
I would clean up the snare and make it more pronounced, its such a phat clap / snare, I'd like to hear it sitting near the top of the mix.
All in all though. I gotta say - this is quality stuff. You got the right mood and atmosphere. Stick to it and keep ripping it up!
Thanx 4 the reveiw Stable, and taking the time out to let me know how it sits to you. I had alot of different arrangements and other instruments/synths that i put in and out, but i couldnt settle on which of the three/four versions to go with, imma try that verse - synth chorus - piano thing out, i definetly know what you mean about the clap/snare, i had a much fatter one that i cut back coz i thought it was too much, and now i think it sounds alittle too thin or distant aswell, but with so many instruments mixing together and hearing it a million times my brain seems to have frazzled abit, any advice on making the clap sit right. Again much thanx for the review. Sour
