Description : So, I started this Instrumental track about a week ago and finished it at work last night. I have to say with each track I do, I love them even more and this one is no exception. I wanted to switch it up a little bit and try more string synths verses my norm which would be infusing electronic/trance synths in all my work...but I couldn't help my self and had to add a trance synth or two lol! Anywho, I used Edirol Orchestral for all my string synths & the following VST's for the rest: PoiZone, Analog Warfare 3, Sytrus & Anawave. I experimented with the bassline as that has been something I need to work on, I tried to make a slow groove type of r&b track with the instrumentation but still sound as if it came from 2011...so please take a full listen and let me know what you may or may not like about this track, all comments and critiques are appreciated!!
-David
UPDATE: I tweaked the volume levels a bit, removed and added a synth and did a little EQ-ing.

Thanks you much for the comment, greatly appreciated!! If you liked this instrumental, checkout the finished version with vocals on my page Titled: "We Cry feat. LaRayne"...it's this same track, just renamed and now has vocals...thanks again!!
Thanks alot for the review, much appreciated!! I'm glad you liked the entire track! With each track I create, I try to work on them until they are near perfect in my eyes and i'm glad you enjoyed, Thanks again!!
Wow, thanks for the review man, I really appreciate that! I just try and make music not only that people would want to hear but also that people can feel...The strings in this song sets the tone of the song as soon as you hear it. My favorite track out of all the one's I've created and i'm glad you appreciate the work I put into my tracks & loops, thanks again!
I don't know why I didn't review this the first time. I like the melody and the flow of the track. Nicely done. I started to sing to this, just for fun. You did a good job. Keep it up, my friend.
Thanks Bobby for the review, always appreciated!! I'm glad you like the track, i'm glad you liked it enough that it got you to sing a little lol! This has to be my absolute favorite track (at least until I finish the two tracks i'm working on now lol) A lot of work went into this one so thanks again bro!
You nailed that bass line. Well done! Also, I really appreciate the chill vibe from this song. Good call. Something that makes it so nice is that your percussion is clean. Except your kick has a little flab in it (which is fine if that's the real-kit style you're going for). Orchestral is a nice-sounding synth, and you used it well. On the intro pad, perhaps cut the ends of those phrases more abruptly and use longer decay on the reverb to wash the transitions. That should get rid of the "clicking" releases.
David thanks for the awesome review, totally appreciate it! I'm glad you like the bassline as that was the hardest part of the song to create lol! I understand what you said about the intro pad, I also had a hard time figuring out how to get rid of the clicks towards the end of it, but nothing has worked...I'll keep your advise in mind when I have time to edit the track. Thanks again!
Thanks alot ScreenPlay for the review, much appreciated!! Relaxing was something I was going for with this track and think I've achieved my overall goal, thanks again!
I appreciate the review/suggestion! When making the track, I originally had the bell synth in a higher pitch like you mentioned, but it didn't fit with the overall sound of the track so I took the pitch down.
Rosh, I really appreciate your review man! Smooth/chill was exactly what I was trying to accomplish with this track and i'm glad thats what came to mind when you listened to this, Thanks again!!
Hey Gabe, thanks alot for your awesome words, much much appreciated!! I'm glad you like it, I think this is my favorite track thus far... probably the most fun (and most challenging) track I've created to date Lol, Thanks Again!!
Larz, thanks alot bro for checking out the track! I really appreciate your comment on the strings & Bass because the strings was me trying to do something out of my element and the bass was a nightmare to get just right lol! Thanks again!!
Choki this is R&B AT ITS FINEST.you have the concept of R&B writing down.mix is great.dont limit your thinking in terms of 2011 verses 1980 or any year for that matter.it will cause you to limit your gifts ability to expand, and you have the gift.you have a great sound with the right vocal concept on this track its over.check out my track Time for Talk Time For Love. ive gotten possitive response from age groops of 19-60.PEACE.THE MACK MAN OUT.
When I say I appreciate your review...I mean I REALLY appreciate your review!! A lot of work went into this track and it turn out better than I had initially pictured. I completely understand what you mean about not limiting my thinking when it comes to creating music, I appreciate the advice, thank you much!!

Description : R&B track inspired by Brody Brown's work on Bruno Mars' new album. Brown would be entirely unimpressed by this track, of course. He's a really fine musician. I've left the electric piano lines that are meant for vocal parts in the track. If ever I found a lyricist and and singer that could do something with this track, I'd produce a backing track version without those parts. Lots of room for a good singer to build on the melody ideas and make it their own.

I liked the synth in this one a HECK of a lot. Drums are excellent and not too overpowering, so lots of good mixing there.
Overall I really enjoyed it. Faved for sure. -Gabe
