Yea lmao that’s what I do with my music is I produce it and then if I find a sample I like online I take it and change it to fit what I need for the song.
You must not know, but without the proper equipment to turn samples into stems, which a majority of people don’t have, you won’t be able to change the beat or instrumentation of a sample without having the stems from the person who made it. If I wanted to change the snare groove, I’d need the stems, which luckily I could do if I cared to use your loop, but so many people can’t. Although it seems you must not care much…
What I said you should try is not deleting a whole part of the drum loop, but changing the groove in the drums every now and then so it’s not extremely dry and boring. And so that other people that aren’t lucky enough, or don’t have the cash to spend on expensive equipment, can also use your loop.
But good luck on your adventure, hard work and putting in the effort to grow (like taking advice when you should) will get you much further than an ego, but what do I know; I’m only a 10 year Music professor after all…. Learn to take advice and constructive criticism if you want to improve, if you don’t want to improve then you’re already on the right track.
I really like this beat! The bass sounds good, the rhythm is nice, and altogether the drum sounds natural, nothing sounds out of place!
Maybe mess around with adding different changes in the beat to make it not just more interesting, but more versatile and more likely that people will be able to use it! Even just simply changing the rhythm slightly in the second half, might make them even better and/or even more likely to get used!
