This is the sound of a clavinet, a special electronic keyboard of the 1970's that had a string or guitar-like effect. Used a lot in Black Funk music of the 1970's.

In my case, I used a Kontakt library to emulate the sound of the clavinet, sometimes just called a "clavi". I would bet that you can find a number of VSTi instruments out there that can simulate the sound of a clavi. Google it. Good luck.
