You have serious guitar chops, sir. I hear some jazz influences on many of your loops and wonder if you are a jazz guitarist in the real world, or if you are one of the rare people with enough talent to play in any genre. Anyway, really high quality loops. I hope all is well.
Hello my friend and thank you very much for your very kind message. I actually only play guitar at home. I use to be a bass player in the real world. And yes indeed I used to play jazz and other type of music but I am at my place in the studio at home. I don't do gigs anymore, I wasn't very good at it. What about you ? Thanks a lot for reaching out, much appreciated. Lenox
So, I listen to your loops because they are stunning. Do you have any original songs you might post on Looperman so we can hear you at work? Anyway, just wanted to let you know I'm a fan of jazz and a real fan of great keyboardists, and you fit both categories in stellar fashion. Thanks for sharing your talents. I hope all is well.
Beautiful stuff Epic. How are you recording your guitar? Are you using mics, and if so, type and set up would be cool to know. Anyway, gorgeous bro. I hope all is well.
For this recording and Relaxed Acoustic 4, I'm using my new pickup system: "Anthem" by L.R. Baggs. It uses a blend of real mic and lace pickups that you can blend together to your taste. It's a little expensive but definitely the best pickup by far I've ever heard - even a lot better than the Taylor ES2 system. I find that it is better for picking though, at least when it comes to the recording studio. Sounds better. Relaxed Acoustic 4 is an example of this.
However, I usually just mic my guitar with an AKG C214 and then throw a light compression on it to give it a punchier sound and cut away a tad of low-end to eliminate any boominess.
Thanks for the review. I've used some of your loops before. Was actually just playing with Audacity and plopped it together. Ive been a musician forever, but a total newb when it comes to loops.
Thanks again
Hey my friend, I hope you are well. Nice to see more of your top notch loops being uploaded. I agree with the loops for sale site....too many requests for free ones, haha. Take care and really nice progression on this one.
I think you have given the populace enough good funk here to create an entire song....well done Jedi. Seriously, great job d2d. I enjoyed them all and I love your guitar work. Bear
Bear, thanks for the kind words. One of my goals is to increase the quality of the loops I post on LM. From your comments, it "sounds" like I'm on the right "track."
