Yea lmao that’s what I do with my music is I produce it and then if I find a sample I like online I take it and change it to fit what I need for the song.
You must not know, but without the proper equipment to turn samples into stems, which a majority of people don’t have, you won’t be able to change the beat or instrumentation of a sample without having the stems from the person who made it. If I wanted to change the snare groove, I’d need the stems, which luckily I could do if I cared to use your loop, but so many people can’t. Although it seems you must not care much…
What I said you should try is not deleting a whole part of the drum loop, but changing the groove in the drums every now and then so it’s not extremely dry and boring. And so that other people that aren’t lucky enough, or don’t have the cash to spend on expensive equipment, can also use your loop.
But good luck on your adventure, hard work and putting in the effort to grow (like taking advice when you should) will get you much further than an ego, but what do I know; I’m only a 10 year Music professor after all…. I really like this beat! The bass sounds good, the rhythm is nice, and altogether the drum sounds natural, nothing sounds out of place!
Maybe mess around with adding different changes in the beat to make it not just more interesting, but more versatile and more likely that people will be able to use it! Even just simply changing the rhythm slightly in the second half, might make them even better and/or even more likely to get used!
No offense cuz all music is music and any loop can sound amazing if used right, I've just always wondered what goes through their heads when people make loops like this. Like i can barely come up with a line if I don't have a base to start with, yet some people can make sounds like this without a second thought lmao
It sounds great im just curious why its shown in 3/4 when its definitely 4/4. It seems like an issue of you recording 12 beats (3 bars) instead of 16 (4 bars). Make sure you record the full 4 bars if it's going to be 4/4, otherwise it may be a bit harder to fit within music
Thank you for the feedback sir, I will definitely take what you have said into consideration, I'm not sure why either, it definitely was in 4/4 timing, I did however only record 12 bars for this specific piece at 100bpm.
Hey nice beat! My only question is are you sure its 3/4? Listening to it and counting it out it sounds 4/4, counting it out there 32 beats which can't be possible in 3/4, and bringing it into a DAW, it fits perfectly as 4/4, but is missing a beat if i switch to 3/4. Still a dope beat and I'm working on a song i might use it in, but you may want to edit the description if possible or if you think it matters
A very simple and effective way to make drums stand out is just add a drum buss, even a stock drum buss effect is (typically; i use abletons stock drum buss) very effective. (Subsequently for almost every melodic instrument I use a saturator to gain a similar effect)
ive used this place for maybe 8 months, i've only commented 2 times, and yet ive downloaded probably 2k different samples. This shit SLAPS, and it fits the beat im working on perfectly. If I use the beat in my album (My name on Spotify is Alucard) I'll give a follow up comment to let you know!
my first comment on this site goes to you - DAMN!! I produce my own beats under the name Alucard, and i've had a lot of time with music theory (even tho it's not necessarily needed for you to be good) so seeing an aeolian scale is a real breathe of fresh air, and the beat goes hella hard. If I end up using the song in my album I'll give you a follow up comment with the link!
Keep with the good shit man,
