There's something strange happening here on these waveforms ! Geo I really dig this track man. Did you use the keyboard to create or is it programmed. I definitely have to give you props on the FL Slayer lead, that intro note did some damage to the ol' ear drums but it was worth it ! Very interesting mix, oh and the vocal track is tight too. Like the subtle glitches. Yeah man I would suggest giving it a once over on EQ but don't drop the levels much, it needs to punch. Oh one more thing, where'd the title come from? I'm from Texas so, just curious.
All programmed
I called it texas destroyer because that's what I named the harmor synth I used for the bass ages ago xD
My naming conventions are a bit sporadic.
Yes, your waveform is so strange I’m kind of intrigued and am thinking about posting a question and link about it on some other audiophile forum. Maybe this one too. It seems almost like some sort of (visual) error. It looks like there’s a strong signal left and then right but the track is fully panned across the spectrum so I’m confused again. It doesn’t sound as it looks.
Wow, that guitar feedback noise is great at 2:45. So very powerful but, as I said, a bit too powerful and piercing.
Is it your guitar playing?
Yes, EQing stuff and turning things down would help, especially as this is a cool genre-merging track that deserves the very best mix. Chart stardom then beckons!
Congrats again and I must check out some of your other stuff. Not that I’m really into chiptune. But maybe you will pleasantly surprise me...
Hi. Don't think I've seen your name on here before.
First thing is that that is one crazy waveform! How hell do you get it to look like that? I don't understand but I want one of my tracks to look like that.
Danke's right that there is a bit of a RATM riff there at 0:28. Cool stuff.
Then that vocal is really very commercial but pretty good.
1:06 that vocal "say, say, say" has got to be turned down as it's really quite harsh and piercing.
1:25 that offbeat synth makes me think of reggae.
This is really quite catchy stuff that sounds like it could be a big chart hit. It's a bit too loud and squashed a mix for me but that's all the rage these days so you maybe you like it too.
I might say a bit more for later but think this will do for a first review of a track of yours.
Congrats.
Oh and 2:45 noise is cool but way, way too loud and piercing. What the hell is that sound anyway?
Thanks man! I have no idea why the waveform looks like that myself :S The noise at 2.45 is guitar feedback, I agree it's a little too loud, I think I'll EQ everything again at some point. This is a new genre for me to be making (at least electronically) I usually do chiptune-ish stuff, so I have plenty to learn.
Thanks again for feedback ^_^
It's a brilliant, very fresh, modern number...mixed by many genres with good attitude...that opening riff is a massive R.A.T.M. felt bomb...great...the speech, vocs was a superb idea...
1 sentence from the side line: it's a bit loud (I know, it has to be, cause it's a metalish one, but...)
Anyways, shake hands and congrats, top track, Danke
Very epic track you have here. Love that terror feel to it. Each sound is very distinct n yet still not taking too much attention from the composition . Definite grade-a quality here. Thanks for the free dl also my friend!! Take care -EazyBeatz :)
hi, this is some enjoyable music. Are you using real retro instruments or just loops? Anyway it sounds very fine and yes - from 0:52 it gets really funky for me. Nice work. Alex
Sup man, so digging the sounds used. What is the bpm of this one? The drums kind of have a roll to them but it seems slower paced compared to what dnb usually is. More house I guess but I've never been big on genres. It's all just music to me. Really like the arrangement to this, synth combinations are really nice. Great work Geophase! peace
Tha main riff is like a grunge rock band would play it...of course with guitars...your creativity is stunning and the whole number is full of tension...
