Nice intro beat and melody. Good bass line and synth arrangement, I would use that baas line more if I was you. I know these songs are short at the moment, but again I feel you have potential. Looperman is a great place to develop your sound...
I think a lot has been said on this one, but! The groove is a good one. Nice and bouncy! The keyboard melody line is good, but you need another hook line to modulate too. Your production is clean and all can be heard. I think you have a lot of potential!
Keep it up, i make beats long time now and one thing about reason is its a love and hate relationship, some days are on game, some gotta take a break, but since you linked me here through you review im going to leave you some amazing feedback, kinda tricks ive developed over the years on reason to pump up the sound a lil, hope it helps you let me know how it turn out 4 you...
1, open up your session of this beat, First things first, the piano! soooo sick, love the part is perfect, but maybe you could give it a little wetter sound to melt in the beat more and give it that real warm feel...
To do so i would suggest throwing an rv7000 reverb on that bithc and just tweak the dry/wet know till its not so powerful, maybe like 20-30.
On top of that, i would also just to see how it sounds i would take one note line of the part (sounds like your playing 2 at a time on there??) and add in a thrird on every other loop, maybe one octave down,or up, to give it more intensity like it were building up, and breaking down again every couple bars...
Drums, their hot as they are, perhaps try to throw a compressor on there and really bring out the lows as much as you can still keeping them clean...
Pad/Synth Stabs, LOVE EM (im talking the one in the back that only come in one in the loop) definatly ummphh that up by throwin a scream on it, set it to tape maybe? (play around with it obviously) and after that, eq it with the eq of the scream, boosting the lows a lil...
On top of that id even go as far as adding a deep bass line reall short stabs, aggressive like that playing the same way as this part...
Synth lead/Hook, hmmm i like the part but agree it sounds a bit off, i would try another rv7000 on this real low and play around with some other patches (is this malstrom, or subractor patch playing?)
Break, i dunno not feeling the way it breaks off at the end there, but just keep workin at it!!!!
Well Hope This Helped and Got Your Spirits Up!

you got something there homie...explore ya sounds and try some filters, reverbs, delays, etc.. i think you will widen your beat production skillz..your beats are not bad...there catchy, and im not gunna lie i busted a few freestylez when i was listing to them..but im shure you'll end up with that offical sound you were going for with a little exploration of ya music program....keep elevating homie..
Thanks jay.I definately need to experiment a bit more with the stuff you mentioned.I am new to music production and need all the help, comments and motivation I can get.so grateful for your inspiring comments.trans
I imagine a female voice narration over the top.
Of course that's not unusual for me, I do artist development. When I hear this very cool groove with a friendly feel pouring out of my studio speakers, it's as if the sound is just begging for a soft but confident female voice to realize the true potential.
You have a talent for building these cool grooves. Find a voice and tell the stories that are waiting inside the songs to be born.
Quality work.

I think you might be right.I know some people who can sing,my mother being 1 of them but ive never recorded lyrics into reason and I wouldnt know where to start.Maybe ill put a post up on how to do so!Cheers voltage keep creating those amazing arrangements.Top man.
Man I just started using Reason today...and that stuff is confusing...but you're headed in the right direction on this...just take on the pointers left below mate...
On the synth line in the beginning it sounds really out of tune. But I am tonedef, I really can't distinguish notes.
The drums are awesome though, this is really good for one of your first tracks.

is it mixed already? You should do that to get this clipping fixed!
And maybe some more bounce, sounds pretty robotic right now..
But overall its consistent
