I think this is a great track. I can definately hear the Santana vibe. I also get a little Joe Satriani feeling, which is great. These 2 guitarists were big influences of mine. Great mix, great sound.

Nice track. It's fairly remeniscent of santana in the choice of scale used, the guitar sound you've chosen and possibly some of the licks used. I think what differentiates all guitarists, ( and this is a good thing, because it makes us all unique )is the multitude of expressive elements that come into play with a stringed instrument. String bending, legato, vibrato, grace notes, phrasing etc. Love the guitar tone and the conga's are recorded superbly.

This is an exquisite piece of music. The fluidity and mood of it makes me want to get in my car and drive to it. Really good piece man, really good piece...and I'm hard to please.

Wow, words don't describe it. The whole arrangement just melts together and leaves you wanting more. I have listened to this 4 times already, and I'm annoying myself putting a review up when I should be listening again. Very, very cool track!

Hey Todd great to hear some new material from the Sixfingered one....Very smooth with a veritable aircraft carrier's load of tone...the inclusion of the string segment lifts this one onto a very professional level....and did I say smooth ,oh yeah... dripping at the seams with those buttery licks of yours...excellent material!..but I'd expect nothing less from Six..cheers Dave :)

Hey Dave! Thanks a lot for having a listen, I always appreciate your musical, as well as all around perspective. It is really good to get to recording again, and I am going CRAZY right now...I have so many great tracks coming together at the moment. It is weird how the inspiration comes and goes so freely, is it not? Thanks, Todd =)

Great job on this, you have a good touch on the track engineering approach (arranging,editing..etc).
Nice gentle piece.

Good to see you back on here, sorry to hear about your loss. Flawless playing man, I'm always amazed when people can make an instrument sing...and you go off. Love the strings in here, giving it an epic feel. Awesome track def a masterful return to the loop. Excellent work Six. peace.

Lol,...read the description and I have to agree about the whole starting out as something small and winding up with a 5 min jam session. Great track man! Sounds real clean! I dig the southern style riffs. Sounds like you had a blast rippin this up!

Thank you...I appreciate you taking the time to listen. Sometimes a track has a way of getting away from you, but in this case the progression and length worked out really well for me. Thanks, Six

Thank you for having a listen! It is indeed a flute, provided by the always epic Slap Johnson. The sax is him as well. He made this track sound atmospheric and great. Peace, Six

Oh Six, Even though I was told not to review I couldn't help myself, the piece that you've arranged hear really is beautiful. There's a fantastic feeling throughout and it's very pleasant to listen to. I could see a track like this being the soundtrack for a trailer to some sort of magical film.

Amazing arrangement, thank you for sharing.

Helix.

NIce Six, your plugged in and rippin yet it still feels so smooth and relaxing, you are a true 6 string master, Santa should reward you, like a nice pair of 6 fingered leather gloves in your stocking so you can play in this bizarre LA cold. lol. Nice arrangement on this and a very nice addition to the looper x-mas album. peace.

usually I'm not a great fan of christmas songs, but this special song is the one exception ...
you know, I'm Austrian, and for us this song is part of our national identity, we're simply proud that this melody was born here ...
and I love your interpretation ... a lot of emotion in there!!
wonderful ...

peace, rei

Sixfingermusic replied Unknown
Thank you sir for listening and your kind words. I have loved this song since I was I very young. Not because of the lyrical content, but because the melody is so distinct and moody. I am happy that Slap & I did justice to an Austrian masterpiece! Peace, Six

brilliant, just brilliant ...
awesome playing like always, great theme and very cool breaks!!
a little more high frequencies on the git would be nice, but I guess that's my personal taste ...
the groove is fantastic, makes one immediately feel good ...
great work man, great work!
