Thanks,
This is really too much credit. I jammed on a excisting jamtrack. The only thing I'm proud off is that I recorded my guitarjam just in one take.
Gerard
Thank you Mokeone,
The album will be published in 2010. I will remember that. Other CD's i've played on were a few published in New Zealand, Germany and Belgium. So now I do it in the United States. Great. I see you are almost the same age. Never too old to make music.
Gerard
Maybe vocals down just a little. Real nice song. Good vocals and guitar. Maybe atrack of rythem vocals behind the lead too. But that's just me. Real nice.
cool track man, very solid and really sweet!!!
and to make it clear: it's impossible to understand what's going on in the mind of a woman ... but you know: women say the same about us ... lol
six is right, the vocals dominate a little too much ...
I think the sound of the drums and guitars is ok, it's more a question of the balance ...
anyway, I really like this track!!! easy listening song about a massive problem, that's cool ...
Thanks Rei
Yes, your right. This song is a good idea but needs some improvements. Personally I think the drumtrack (bassdrum) does not fit exactly and the vocals are too loud.
I wonder why I did not receive any review from a woman, ha,ha,ha.
Gerard
Little bit of ZZ Top vocals coming through the lowering of the vocals. The playing is sharp as always and pretty damn authentic. I wonder is there something you can do to the acoustic guitar track to make it a touch more gritty? It sounds very clean and somewhat out of place with the remainder of the track. Please consider that this is a hyper-critical observation as the track sounds wonderful as is. Just thinking about what might give is some more flavor. Peace, Six
Thanks Six,
You play the role as musician and advisor on Looperman that I like. I upload not only to read the compliments but I want to have comments that improve the song or recording. I focused on the experiment with the voice and not to the other tracks. Eventually the songs I upload to Looperman will be published on a new CD in 2010. So I am very glad with your comment. Exactly translated from Dutch we say in Holland" This man got some damned good ears on his head" Well you have.
Thanks again.
I love it. I've done a couple of funny ones myself. 1 about food too. And I love the blues. Great harp and slap too. When I look down I don't see my. Awsome a really fun song.
Blair
Thanks Blair,
It started as a joke but now it is the best reviewed track we have uploaded. I've met musicians who say blues is too easy for me. I don't agree, it's hard to compose a song with fresh idea's and it's a great feeling if it works.
Gerard
Thanks Skyrider
Well as I said earlier I found the jamtrack with the big band. I only play the lead guitar. Would be great if I had a band likt that.
Gerard
Thanks you Treyc
I never expected that our music once would be played in Singapore. Looperman is a great community. It brings the old and young musicans together.

Thanks Deltaloop
To be honest I never listen to this kind of music but now we made it ourselves so we had to listen.
Normally I play blues. So now it's nice that not only bluesminded people are responding.
Cool as meest....man I've been to Holland....didn't get any blues vibe there.....I got to get down to the Delta!!....yeah this is a rolling good time..sweet!......cheers planet
Thanks,
that you like my song.
Yes you have to go to the Delta. A lot of the original Deltablues is gone already. In our small country we have about 250 bluesbands so how could you have missed it?
Hey mate..nice to meet you...this is a good down to earth rocker with some legs...great to get some more guitar players here at looperman ..welcome aboard!....your cousins good to!....cheers planet
Thanks
Most of the time I play blues and this song was a kind of experiment due to the fact I had some problems with a woman. Yes, my cousin is good. We started in 1968 and we still make music.
I like this track too. You might want to consider a re-mix. Give the guitars a little more power you know? Of course, as a guitarist, I am certainly biased in this regard. Nice change from the blues numbers though. I love the lyrics and the harmonies are nice as well. Peace and Love, Six
Thanks Six,
All those Ohh's en ahh''s are great to read but it's also good to give positive comments too.
To be honest I'm not really shure about this song yet. Drumming and guitarsounds could be better.
Great sound. Definitely got a little Peter Green in there. Try a touch more overdrive and you will get it nailed! Excellent playing and your cousin's John Mayall-esque are great! Like this track a lot. Peace and Love, Six
Hi Meestege,
Well, I liked the song here too. It kinda fits me as I am too fat myself. As you get older, it seems to come on easier and hard to get rid of. I liked the Harmonica part in the song in particular. I can't seem to find any loop disk with Harmonica on them.
I suppose a person could make some money selling one if they made one up and offered it from one of the bigger companies. You'd need about 600-800+ different short .wav files with different parts of riffs, fast and slow endings, and in different keys and tempo's...etc. Takes a lot of time and work!
Anyways, the above is off the subject...but just a thought since I don't hear the instrument anywhere else. Good job on the song.
Randy
Thanks Randall,
To us it's so normal my cousin plays that bluesharp. I realize that you want this on your recordings too. I never looked for that kind of loops. But if you have a recorded song that's in the standard tuning (A=440) then my cousin will play it for you, I'm sure.
Hello again!
I am listening to all your 3 songs here and and just wanted to say, this song was very good. I like your cousins singing voice as he did a nice job thoroughout it. The guitar playing you did was very good as well.
I don't recall hearing any Peter Green's music as there was a time period I wasn't playing any music with my present job. My shift work job took all of my ability to play in a band away, so I actually stopped playing music for about 22 years. Mostly then I listened to country type songs and some pop/rock.
Randy
Thanks Randall
If you like this one listen to Fleetwood Mac (1968-1970) Peter Green formed the first line-up. I'm sure you know Black Magic Woman, but there is a lot slow blues too. And he played with John Mayall before that. Made one LP with him (A Hard Road) he also recorded with several black bluesplayers (my favourite is Eddie Boyd LP 7936 South Rhodes).
Thanks Splish
Funny enough we've wrote the lyrics in a split second. Getting fat is really a problem. When we have a funeral we say the family is getting smaller but every time we need more space to watch, ha, ha, ha.
great great great!!!
I love it ... it's so cool ...
perfect playing, a lot of blues feeling in it, and that means that you have a lot of experience cause it's not easy to get it ...
pure fun to listen ... brilliant work!
Thanks Rei
From the age of twelth we are real bluesmen. In the sixties black blues came to Europe and we never lost it. Last year we left "The Ramshackle Bluesband". We played for 8 years with this band so you can say we have experience. Although to play blues is one thing, to compose with a orignal touch is difficult. We like other music too but every time blues is coming back.
Thank you, Slap.
Actually it's the first time I play slide on a Strat with a normal E-tuning with a Line 6 Toneport UX2. I've red you have one. Preset Crunch guitar Light Brown. I normally us the Strat for lead guitar so I did not change the height of strings. Because my hands are to small for normal slide playing I use it as a lapguitar.
To do this in a good way you have to play very precise with a soft touch. The effect of the preset gives it a Joe Walsh style. Advantage of normal E tuning is that the riff patterns are the same. Normally I play slide on a resonator with D-tuning but slowly I see the advantage of normal E-tuning.
Gerard
Your cousin's vocals are great on this, really felt his emotion and he doesn't overreach on it anywhere. I'm not really familiar with blues artists by name so I can't confirm who your playing is like but I can tell you that it sounds great and really sets the tone for the track. Sad as it was, this song was definitely enjoyed.
Thank you, Jack
This song means a lot to me and its good to know that you feel our emotions. If you like this kind of music search for Fleetwood Mac (1968-1970) with Peter Green. B.B. King once said he was the only white guitarplayer with black blues.
Gerard
This is a fun little blues groove. Like the little breakdown in the middle. Nice harp solo and excellent slide guitar. Very cool. Curious to see what else you got coming. Welcome to the smoothest music community site on the planet, looperman.com. Peace and Love, Six
