Nice werk a good quality production! nice full sound good use of synths and the mix is A* :) i personally would combine the different bass parts and chop and change between them to give a little more variation and diversity, say every 8-16 bars or at the end of a 32 of 64set but its a 9/10 anyhoo Great stuff, Abel :^) i would value a review back as it's obvious you got some skillz Yeah boi!!
Killer track. You can definitely hear the 40 hours in there. Like the Cheech samps too.Did a great job on the build up and the break down. I'm with Brandon, 5 stars!--Jack
i like this....I listened to the high q version on soundcloud too...very nice choice of sounds and synths. Only problem for me was that it seems to lack energy....Just doesn't get my ass shakin and wantin to hit the dancefloor....know wot i mean...I think it really comes doewn to the bassline in the song....I.e it is pretty non existent...I dont mean that in a bad way, its just that the bass and kick combo is USUALLY what creates the energy in a track and your song is just lacking in that dept a bit....I think tho with the right tweaks and right bassline pumpin in the background this track will be a banger. Keep up this work man! Yu could defo go places with your sounds!
Hey there, nice track you've got here! Very calming and soothing melody and the supporting synths create a great atmosphere with the lead too. Like davesmith said, this track reminds me a lot of the 90's era of trance which in my opinion, was an iconic time for trance. Anyways, just a tip if you plan to work on this more: I'd bring down all of your instrument's volumes. The track's clipping pretty badly but if you do some leveling and just make sure the master isn't peaking over 0dB, should do you good. Anyways, great track, keep making sick tunes :)!
Hi all, thanks all for the comments, most appreciated.
@davesmith1983: Yeah I have used very little sidechaining on this one so far. Only a little on the initial bass (the first one you hear) as some of it's notes play the same time as the kick and I wanted the kick to retain it's punch.
@guitarguy316: This is not my first attempt at trance but probably my best attempt so far. I have just applied what I have learned since then. ;)
@Nechura: Thanks, yeah I was pushing for max volume, the track is compressed (only a little) and is limited but I now plan to go over the track again and see how it sounds with more sidechaining and some adjustment to the levels/compression ect.
Wow, if this is your first go at trance.... congrats, you did a brilliant job. Ive always admired trance music like this and you have deeply inspired me with this track to adventure into producing trance as well. So, hopefully in another 30 hrs or so... my track will be up here as well. Peace!
Liking the track, very crisp and clear on the production side. This track also takes me back to the late 90's before sidechaining became standard in ever dance track.
Awesome sound... I love when genres intertwine and have always appreciated how hip hop and drum n bass, at their core, play off each other so well. Nice production. I love your other DnB tracks by the way, you have quite a talent and give folks like me some inspiration. - DF
stuki,s got, style i totaly agree whith the last review ,elements of [ltj] nice base love the fills &rolls overall top notch production i dont think the base is low ,just sits nice in the mix my opionion keep it up . matskie
yeah mate i like your track your drum beats are steady everythink is there but your bass melodies seem a bit low what you should do is inhance them to give the subwoofers a bit of punch because i feel that your drum beats over power it a little but i like the composition of your track it has good structure and flow there realy is nothing wrong with this track at all that was just a little suggestion from me well done you can see that you have dedicated hard time on this track i respect that highly your a true music maker i also take time when i produce my beats aswell any hows peace and respect to you mate
Hey, thanks for taking the time to give feedback, most apreciated. Your comment on my bass is duly noted. It's not the first time someone has mentioned not enough bass, I tend to hold back a little due to the fact my crappy monitors are too overpowering becuase of the sub box. Time for some tweaking mefinks :-) Thanks.
this is another great production,U got some really good sounds and creative workflow, this makes me inspired to use EQ and compression a lot more after i make a good track myself.good work.
great detailed description,i can feel the hours u put into the song while listenning to it,i made a few drum n bass tracks myself so im finding this genre to be really cool, love your overall style and effects u made, great job
Dam fine track amigo, you really pollished this one up well. Everything sits well and each noise has its own breathing space throughout the track - well produced !!!
Will look forward to next tune.
