Did you know that The Mysterious Old Radio Listening Society mentioned this very piece in episode 30? You should be proud of some great work. I too have gone down financial rabbit holes for creativity's sake.
I did NOT know that and would never have know that if not for you, so thank you very much! That is absolutely hilarious. This piece is ancient, as is the profile. I am now Citizen Mofo, doing very different kinds of music as you'll see if you stop by my profile, but this crazy piece was definitely a stepping stone on the journey. Thanks again for taking the time to point this out to me - and for appreciating this wacky thing. I really appreciate it!
powerfully wicked !! me i would put a nu metal guitar riff into it but thats just me! but i enjoyed it none the less.. downloading to my looper playlist.. thanks :)
I like the sort of eerie synth. It adds a great deal of atmosphere to the piece. A couple of interesting surprises in you choice of instruments and transitions. Has me swaying in my chair; always a good sign :-)
I can see this in the next Rob Zombie slasher movie, or, as easily, a remake of a classic Hitchcock thriller.
Very nice track. I look forward to hearing more of your work
Lots of different elements indeed. But it all flows nicely and you've managed to settle a general mood to the whole track such that it all holds together very well. Curious to see how it goes with vocals but it's really cool as is. Nice original work!
I like the way you use breath in this track it's got a captain beefheart feel to it. I'm gonna download it and play it a few times to get a hang on it, really interesting.
Weird is cool!!
Oh and check out the poem I havn't heard lol.
Very organic. It has a good folk feel to it- like an old spiritual. The vocals are awesome. It also has a Native American feel to it. Either way, it is a song that comes from the earth and the heart. Well done- very compelling. Kper
Thanks, Kper. I've always been in awe of Lisagaye's voice. I can't sing worth crap - so imagine me, croaking like a frog, trying to teach her the melody, and then her giving me that vocal in return. I owe her much.
WoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooW
I really ♥ this track!
The title really fits wiht the athmospaer.! omg! Iam wordless prowded! Awesome!
for the next time I fell down, i gonna listn to it!
Its rally one of my FAV's!
WRT Mr. Stevens, you're speaking my language, brother. He remakes language. (Just take that "nave" line, for example; one could write 10 pages on that alone and still fail in a complete explication - the play on words between "nave" and "knave", the cross aspect, etc. - But I digress.) I actually set his entire poem ("To the One of Fictive Music") to music. That done, I was then freed to deconstruct it and rob the very bones from his grave to build my own skeleton. Well, so it always is; time makes us all Oedipuses.
As for the age point you made in another review - probably. Ugh. And so much yet to do!
Anyway, so nice to connect with you through music. I'm mesmerized by your stuff - recognize the massive heavylifting and delicate finesse that went into it - and look forward to lots more listens.
After checking your profile, I'm pretty sure we're closer in age than not. This track really reminds me of that time frame where the first Post-Industrial music was reacting to Industrial.
I love Noize as Musick. As music really is an emotional language, there are statements that controlled noise can make that's only achievable this way. Yes, this one expresses that emotional location encompassing anger, bitterness, depression, and desperation, and with the right movement, could certainly bring a cathartic experience.
Thanks, Frenchkid. Means a lot to me that you dug it. Coincidentally (I guess) I just listened to Koukotsu's track, "Lizard Breath," where you added the guitar - beautiful work there, from both of you. So great to hear a collab like that. Every day I fall a little more in love with this site.
We need a genre on this site called Contemplative.
Trippy track tho bro! Was this track written while you were wishing somebody would pick up the damn phone? I've done the same sort of thing before. I also liked the flute.
Remaster this one too and put into the dubstep genre. mUCH MORE STRAIGHT FORWARD AND RUFF THAN JUST DUB. wITH SOME TOUCH UPS THIS TRACK COULD MELT A FACE OR TWO.
Like the double bass line. Play on that even more and get it really stepping in double time. I wanna hear the groove develop more.

"Poetry is the supreme Fiction, madame.
Take the moral law and make a nave of it

Good stuff.
This track reminds me of On-U-Sound (not Tackhead, but related work) so much that I faved it before the 1/2 way mark.
You've got a new fan!
