Thanks for the kind workds, Soundli. I strive for original composition and sonic foundation and have been combining my understanding of microsound with dance music for the past year. I'll be sure to get more material up here as soon as I can. Cheers!
thanks for the comment. this track is available for download on my website, along with my first album. please visit peopleareloudmovers.com if you are interested in what you hear.
Very cool! This would be a very handy track to have going if spinning industrial or EBM and just needed something to fill the void while crate diving for some slick vinyl to play next. I could imagine any of the DJ's who play at Perversion or Ruin throwing this on while they were looking to change grooves. Pretty versatile track you've made here.
Hi,
Excellent track!Added to my favs. The melody is really haunting and filled with emotions.I bet it could be a great movie soundtrack but I like it just as it is.Gonna check your other tracks right now.Just Beautiful!
thanks for the positive review.
this is one of my all time favorites :]
don't forget to review some of my other material if you listen, i'd love to hear what you have to say about my different styles.
Play 2 now...
This was pretty cool for a shorter tune. Kinda like I could see it being an interlude between longer songs on an album or something. And I think ya did a great job with incorporating the acapella into your mix (which sets a somewhat eerie vibe). Coolness here. Lates!
Woah, this is incredible. As I've said before, you manipulate noise very well, thus I am giving you the title Professor of Noise.
As always, great track.
man you did a really good job on this one.....i really like the feeling that it gives off. the only thing i really didnt like in the song was the wierd kind of fake distorted guitar sound. i think if you try replacing it with a nasty grimey bass sound it may work
i've actually never thought about the distorted guitar sounds that way.
this song has always felt pretty solid, but i do agree, some of the few distorted sounds could be replaced with other sounds, or even recorded in.
the only downfall with replacing them with a grimy bass is that i believe it would take away from the more realistic bass sounds used.
i've tried writing some music that i feel could be played live, and this was one written with those intentions. maybe i'll do a whole remake with all live instrumentation.
thanks for listening and leaving a review, this is a track i want to keep thinking about!
thanks a lot, lofthouse.
i appreciate your reviews.
you seem to enjoy my material,
and i see that you've reviewed a few of my favorite tracks.
i have more than 2 cd's worth of material, let me know if you'd like some of it.
i strive for individuality and style.
i'm very glad this site has given me some positive recognition.
keep on listening, i have so much more material that i have not posted.
my newer material is getting much more complex, so i hope you're in for a ride...
flstudio.
i don't use it in a typical way.
the beats/noises were essentially made in fl, and then i brought it in to audition for restructuring, pitch shifting, tempo adjusting, etc...
if you're afraid your woofers were going to burst with this, then i guess i shouldn't put up Cephalalgia... it's nothing but raunchy high tones. i also made one about 7 years ago called Pretty Noises Exist Without Causes, it was originally "Computers Hate This Noise" because somehow it glitched up flstudio and i couldn't work on it anymore.
you're not the first to give me this type of review, and with my harsh noise background and it's influence on this song i can understand why.
the "i don't want to listen to this" reflex was intentional for some of the entities of the song.
thanks for taking the time to listen, even if it does not promote a future listen.
try some of my others, they've got much less noise ;]
I agree that this is an excellent song to BLAZE too. The beat ridez along wonderfully with the rest of the track. Is that a real guitar I hear in there or mechanically made? Whatever it is,I like it. The slow come down with the piano coming in was a great way to end it. Nicely done. oNe,SS
you did a really good job on this. i actually went and listened to the samples he gave for that comp just because i was curious. with that said, i think you put your own style and flavor into this track. you didnt overuse the samples, but the opening seemed a bit long, or maybe just bare...you could try to build it up a little more.
flavor is what i like.
it was a very fun competition, the first i've participated in since joining looperman. this competition in particular was very unexpected, and it's something that i was actually looking forward to when joining the site.
once i read the words "aphex" and the letters "c-o-m-p" my bubble of excitement almost burst. i was in paradise.
the long opening i actually wasn't intending on, yet the idea for that soundscape/array of glitches and textures hit me like a whirlwind mid-production.
i felt that the long textured intro made it feel a bit more aphex-esque or at least had some reminiscence of braindance.
i don't believe that this one is finished, so the buildup has just begun!
Wow, that intro is incredible, you manipulate noise very well. I love the sounds in this, they all work very well with eachother and the mix is perfect, I can find no faults with it. Sorry I can't say more but this is my first proper listen of a glitch track, and I love it.
Keep it up.
thanks for the appreciation, helix. i enjoyed this competition, and i'm glad you have taken a liking to my manipulation of noise. it's what i do moreso than compose "songs".
the mix on this track pretty much just fell into place, not much need for any re-mastering after i completed it.

bass-nectar is gnarly,
i'd love to speak with that co-producer *fantasizes*....
i'm loving glitch, ever since i got into microsound production i've fought myself between putting glitches in every track... or leaving them out.
i choose the glitch.
the glitch must stay!

i'm cranking the 'crazy' oscillator throughout the song, meng.
