The music is very well put together, loved the drum track, not typical, very cool. And the sax was sweet too. Where did you get the vocal track? I don't think I've heard such a track before, gotta hand it to ya, this made me chuckle, ha!

djquickrick replied Unknown
Thanks for checking it out and fav. It's the first time I did such track. It was fun making it. I cracked up the first time I heard the vocal. I had no idea that's where she was going with it. thanks again.

This is an amazing track. One of the few hip-hop tracks that isn't mainstream and has "feelings" in it, kinda like your heart and soul is in it. You've still got it man. I can tell you've been in the music game for a good minute. Consider your looperman page bookmarked under my Favorites

Hey thanks man. I'm really glad you liked it. I keep this song up since it has the personal sentimental meaning to me. I am always thrilled when someone else can "feel" what I was feeling as well! Thanks again bud.

But I want to look at the lesbian :-)

This is great. Love it. I think the backing track you put together for the vocals is perfect. That sax is excellent. Did you use loops?

Excellent job

Believe me, she has the voice, but not much as far as eye candy goes!! lol. I did lay tracks down. Not me playing. Yeah, I like the outcome of the instrument parts, too. I had fun making it. Glad you enjoyed it-greatly appreciated the review-thanks for the fav bud!

I don't think I've ever double reviewed. While I was away(no net and bills coming down!)I thought I had this in my music collection. I didn't and it sucked. I knew it was faved but never had enough time to visit a hotspot to come check it out again. Even after dumping some more loops after getting things strait I forgot to come hear this. Many thanks for keeping it up and for download. Cheers man and thanks :D

You're the best. Hope all is going well, bud! Speaking of hot spots, that reminds me of an AT&T commercial where a couple goes "hot spot hopping". It's pretty funny. peace

Now this is some sick fusion here man. Jazzy and funky. I love that bass. I wish I could get bass sounds like that. The sax was killer too. It all blends so good. The lesbian I can't relate too. I've seen some really butch lezzies but where I'm at, they are about 8 out of 10, the hottest girls around. It sucks, but doesn't suck lol. I'd quit making music if I could convert just one, but I think I would only be making more girls turn lol. Cheers man, and faved this sweetness up.

I found that so chill out, that sounds amazing.

Very good job, nice fusion, like the jazz stuff, the voice is a bit repetitive but it fits well

Gonna fav that one, to smoke one while listening to this tune..

Theres nothing wrong with MP3 scratching...its really caught up to vinyl! People are actually scratchin on casettes these days, but nothing beats Qbert on vinyl in my eyes! Great job!If ya get a chance check out my scratching track Slim Slacker. I used an Axiom 25 midi controller to do my scratching!
djquickrick
djquickrick replied Unknown
Thanks for listening. I agree about Qbert. He is king. MP3 sxcratching is a great tool as well. It sure saves money! I use software for that too. It really opens doors for extra creativity. But for ultimate control, nothing beats turntables. Even Qbert acknowledges that. Thanks again.

Hi Rick

Mate first I do feel bad about the track that I just reviewed, but as a Mod I have to do it...Dont like it but if I dont I get into trouble with the boss man.

This is one very interesting track, really like the beat here, the way you have used the vocals, makes this a fun type of track, this is a fun type of hip hop track, some more need to be done this way without having all of the cussing as they all seem to have these days, this cold be great with someone singing or spitting as they say lol, but in saying that too I do like what you have done ith the vocals, adding this baby to fav's my friend...again sorry...Peace n Respect Rick...Estefano...

Dude yes! Those vocal sounding synths are that shiz! the beat is tight as hell too. very cool sounds you are playing around with in there. Very clubbish feel to it, kudos! Lol I just realized the vocal sounds weren't synths. Sweet track dude!

cheers!

Yea man I know what you mean about them turntables... They're becoming almost obsolete. It's a damn shame... Now all dj's got cd mixers. It's just not the same... Glad you keepin it real bro... You should definitely create some scratch loops man... you got some dope skillz. Yo, you and I let's keep the old skool alive:) I bet you get all the hot GILF'S...lol... Keep it up man(no pun intended)lol... Dancing and music is like the fountain of youth. Fave'd as well...

Yeah, djing in the mainstream is a lot different. Most/alot of dj's don't/can't fathom using what they play their music with as an instrument. Don't get me wrong, i appreciate the new equipment, too. Pioneer has some great cdj's. Having dj software is a weapon in itself. When ya put it all together though, Boo-YA!! ;) I love songs that sound like a blending of the old and new, too. Sometimes I feel the rhythm has been lost. I love the primal side of music. Thank you for the FAV and for the review. peace :)

Vinyl? What the hell is vinyl? It's that sound that cdj's mimic horribly! I was gonna buy a Serato set up once. Heard it and bounced out of that mess. I wanted to dabble with being a dj since I was little. It was because of the movie Juice. Tupac, Omar Epps flick that has a Dj battle in it. Looked way more technical than plucking strings on a guitar. Back to the track. Was waiting to hear some of your Dj work man. Not disappointed at all. I miss the sound alot. Gravy needs mash potatoes, Hip Hop needs Dj's. Cheers :D
djquickrick
djquickrick replied Unknown
The best thing about vinyl, other than it's rich warm sound, is it's no latency. It's a pure extension between your mind, soul, hands, and equipment. Juice is still a classic. When I first saw it, I was like man he can really scratch! Then years later when I saw it again, I realized it was edited in. haha I was heart broken and proud at the same time...You know I have some old dj partners who play guitar and swear it's a whole lot like scratching. I can hear it sometimes. Well, thanks so much for your review. i'm glad U had a chance to hear it, i was hopin u would.. hummm, graaavy. peace my friend :)
