Hey Mate..you got your funky hat on again,Cool man!..you have disco lights behind your eyes man,a mirror ball hanging from the ceiling and gogo girls..everywhere! lol..Super track my friend, very tasty guitar licks,I love that single coil tone, you dial it in just right...the way I see it you have a funky laid back groove and your jazz rock fusionista brain twists it into Zappodelic rock...awesome groove,Zappo rules!..I like the vocals too!...now I must get back to meditating on "Future in the Past" with my acoustic electric bass..it is magnificent!!! see you soon mate Dave :)
You can never have too much funk! I'm loving this funky little number. Would have liked a bit more info though if poss? How and when was it recorded? It has a massive sound but it doesnt come across like it should, and looses a bit of its power, dont get me wrong I think its a great track but the quality lets it down. (just a personal opinion)
I really like this version - I had a chance to listen to the fixed 'Rio Express Mastered' the other day and thought it was very nice too. I do not know how much this one is different (this is 3rd version I guess?) from that previous version but anyway it sounds very cool. Nice collab with PJB.
There were some minor issues with fading out in very few spots so not really a big deal.
I like how relaxed this song is man! Great work! That horn that comes in is really cool! So much going on at such a subtle level.
The drums are a nice addition, but might be a hair too loud in the mix, not sure. I think it's sits on the edge of being too loud but it's a fine line here.
Lots of cool stuff going on. The bass line in the background is doing a lot of cool little runs and stuff, pretty sweet.
Pretty sweet job here man. That solo guitar is great but I think it'd benefit a little more with some more reverb or some sort of "space-filler" plugin to make it sound bigger-than-life. Right now it sits a little stiffly in the middle of the mix. Great work though. That solo is definitely killer.
I just dived in to this music and did other stuff while listening without even realizing it and when the music stopped I woke up and had to listen again and again...very smooth and pleasent listening experience, as if the music belongs inside my brain and has to be played in the background.
Had the same experience with some tracks from StaticNomad recently.
Strange phenomenom.
Made me want to put my speedo on and sit on Ipinema Beach. Cool track, nice composition, great musicianship, what a combination. Guitars blast right through. I liked the the synth on the right with the echo/delay on it. Nice dynamics as well.
just discovering your other fusion creations. this is actually very jazz and funk (with some fine latin feel!) which actually means a true fusion I guess. cool guitars!
beautiful use of nature effects. beautiful mix. you paint a really mellow picture my friend. I can float with this and the bar maid for a minute! thoroughly enjoying it.
I won't go into my customary detail as I remember you not answering some of my previous track reviews. So I'll keep it relatively short, with the assumption that I'll be wasting my time taking the time to say much more.
Lovely chilled intro and those drums are perfect when they kick in. Good snare. Not a tone I've used before.
1:22 awesome little drum fill.
And the track just keeps going with all sorts of excellence going on. True fusion and very much my kind of thing so big congrats from me (and many others).
Best track I've heard from you (also a fine mix) and very much related to what I do.
Hey there my friend..Detlef this is so very cooool man!..laid back and so smooooth!..lots of very subtle nuances, the groove ebbs and flows and the drift into a very dreamy sequence is marvellous and almost unnoticeable until the green grass of Zappoland is way over your head!....super relaxing yet stimulating at the same time...exotic,sensual and Zappified to the nth degree...superb man! cheers Dave :)

This is really cool stuff, as I expected.
Very chilled out pad intro and then some gentle tinkling keys and then a bit of high bass guitar.
0:46 some sort of little trumpet and then the keys get louder and better.
Drums and extra percussion groove nicely. Very dreamy, laid back but also funky stuff. A bit like some of the music I make.
promenade2239 will absolutely love this track!
Thank you for your opinion ... but everyone feels music differently.
Yes, it's always nice to communicate with Planet Jazz Bass ... Thanks to Him.
