Had to do a little compromise because the first draft had the vocals too dominant and the second try too low in the mix. Also, that is Stallones voice from Rocky 6 movie.:) had to do bunch of extra editing to mute backround fuzz and stuff.
But still, thank you for listening and for feedback.
Take care.
A hard-hitting track indeed. Keep it up! Hope you will get better and you will be better just make sure to open up to someone and let all data $hi out.
Damn, man. This is some hard hittin' shit, right here! It does remind me a lot of the old Rotterdam hardcore from the early '00s. That big ass kick that comes in at 2:45 is some of the most aggressive shit I've heard in a long time. I fuckin' love it! Is that a sampled kick, or did you build it yourself? If you did, what was your process? I've always wanted to cut a track like this, but everything I do tends to turn into either heavy metal, or some pseudo-indstrial soundtrack thing. Excellent work, dude. Keep it up!
Take care.

Ps. I know you said you'll be fine, but do keep in mind that it IS okay to talk to someone if you need to. Mental health left unchecked is like a ticking time-bomb. Not something you want to play around with.
Thank you for awesome comment. I'm really glad that you liked it.
The kicks are homebrew. Sampled basic kicks and added layer upon layers of filters and effects. Also a random snare drum sample with many, many, many filters gave that "clicky" sound.
Kick brewing for me is alot of trial and error. If you like to hear more of my hard hitting kicks, check out my Anger Issues and K.T.B. 3.0 songs on my profile.:)
Hello McYrkke....I just listened to your track and right away noticed that this took some time to put together.....there are a ton of well done changes and mood swings and tempo changes that make it work this well. I think it's excellent work.
You have created a beautiful song of this genre, difficult to make and of excellent integrity despite the different stages of creation as you describe. Very well done
Best wishes, Anthony
Oh, the vocal mix is spot on for me. This is amazing! The delay is perfectly on point. Great work here. You're so talented at what you do! You really got me when you switched from the beautiful garden to the fiery stage, haha. Didn't see that coming at all
I bet you're glad you had a rest, re-appraised and returned. This is a masterpiece. The beats and density of the music are offset beautifully by the ghostly soft vocal. Well done and Kudos to you for not giving up and producing something golden. Kay0s
The time you spent on this paid off. To me, it sounds good. The mix is crystal. Your transitions are seamless. Excellent use of effects. The change up of beats keeps it moving along without becoming stale or uninteresting, and done without it sounding like it was puzzle pieced together.
I have a track posted up here that took me almost 400 hours to get right. Much like you, I would get stuck, and toss it aside. Then come back, delete half of what I did the previous time and start over. Adding here and deleting there. So, I can relate, man. I know how it turns into a love/hate thing by the time you're done.
None the less, you've done a great job once it was all said and done. Keep it up!
Take care.

Thank you so much for kind words. This project has really been a huge pain mentally. I am so happy how good this song turned out, even tho it literally is stitched together from early year stuff to recent.
Once again, thank you. I'm glad that you liked it.:)
Take care.
This has that classic sound that all tracks in this genre need to have, but I can also hear nuances here and there that are your own fingerprints. I am a fan of music, and of the awesome and talented people who make it alongside me. I also had my own adventures in the club and rave scene, and this brought those memories back beautifully. Well done.
Don't let the time it took u on this discourage u, sometimes our best ideas take awhile to cook, sometimes it's done in the blink of an eye. Stay the course, man. I wish u the best.
That's sounding pretty dang awesome! The synth stab bass starting around 3:40 and then the syncopated rhythm you built around it after that is totally sick. Nice job!
I think you're on the right track. One trick to try: while you're putting your track together, keep all of your different instruments mixer tracks levels at around -3db to -6db in your mixer. Adjust them so that they all sound about even as far as volume goes. Once you finish your track, then you can put an EQ and a Limiter, and a few other plugins on your master track, and then you can bring the master volume up to just under 0db. If you set your limiter to -0.1 db, then you should have a nice loud sound, but it's below the clipping point, and you won't get that unwanted distortion.
There's a lot more to mixing and mastering than this, but it's at least a good start. I don't have enough room in the comments to get too detailed. Check out videos on Youtube for more tips and tricks. There are a lot out there that can help you tremendously.
Keep it up. Like I said, you're on the right track.
Hey man, whenever your levels go above 0db, you start getting what's called clipping. That's when the frequencies are too high and there's a distortion where distortion shouldn't be. I hear a lot of that in this track. When that happens, it's not considered lo-fi. It's just levels being too loud.
If you were to go back and adjust your levels, you would get a much cleaner, and much nicer sounding track.
Other than that, this is a cool piece.
Take care.

Thanks for feedback. Really appreciated.:) I do have maybe a bit too much of struggle when it comes to mastering (self learned to do stuff I've done so far) and there are alot of things where I'm still learning.
You too, take care.

Greetings, Now this was a interesting piece of work to listen to. I loved the intro very much with the orchestral and score elements attached to it. But than the transfer to something totally else was very surprising to say the least. Still it was a interesting song for me to listen to kinda refreshing really. So yeah well done. I did dig it.
Jebus I hear those old-school high hats from the late nineties in this one. but it has some (very slight) Green Velvet vibes as well as Ru-paul aesthetics. brought me back for a moment, nice work.
Buen tema amigo McYrKKe, muy elaborado, con clase. Poderoso ritmo. Efectos y sonidos muy especiales, con calidad y esa voz al final sorprendente y inesperada. Que tengas un buen día compañero. paz y salud.
