it has a New Order feel in some ways, like ¨Bizzare love triangle¨ for example but without a true melody. Not Bad, needs a bit of polish.

I find myself listening to a lot of chill out stuff on this site. It seems to be a very popular genre and it's easy to see why.
This to me sounds more like down tempo house music but it's very well put together. Like the key pads and the swirly synths that you've used.
It's helping me to really enjoy the bottle of bud that i just cracked open (in the hope it will relieve my writers block)
What programme are you using to make this with?
There's some great synth work in this track.

Sick track bobbybooth! The drums are banging and the melody is ill. It's a head nodder for sure. It's a Fav. Nice work.

on Finger Pie by bobbybooth
I like the intro and the bass, but after the first drum roll that guitar thing is slightly out of time which makes it sound anoying. Move it a step or half a step to the left.
You've got some good ideas but that one sound kills the whole track.
Everything else is on point.

Well it sounds pretty cool though, especially for a first song. Like the melody that it turns into at 1.30ish
keep experimenting, and good luck further ;)
want to see what you can come up with in a while

Loving the reverby melodies in the high register and subtle chill basslines. I'd definitely call this chillstep, but it's good chillstep. The drop in the middle is pretty dirty yet funky too, love it.

Hey Bobby!

There is something awesome about what you've created. The piano is really soulful and have a beautiful vibe to it! Am I wrong or is most of it loops?

I love the arp'ed synth at the end. I think there are few things that need looking after but the idea is great and very interesting!

Thanks for using my Vacapella!

Hi Nico.

Thanks - I know, the way i have chopped up the vocal means that it doesnt sit quite right when split into verses. I like the chorus section though, its got a good message and fits just right.

Its actually just one sample, and then i chopped it to make it into the shorter piano loops. The beats i programmed and the strings are just in fruity loops. The synth is a Vst from Sawer, so that wasnt too difficult, but yeah definitely one of my favourite bits about it. Glad you enjoyed - I thought your vocals were pretty good.

peace!

Yeah, this is a nice track! I like the production on this one a lot! The only problem I noticed was that the piano seemed a little distorted or something. All in all a very cool listen! I liked those lyrics!
bobbybooth
bobbybooth replied Unknown
Cheers buddy. Dont know about the distortion - the piano is a sample, there are some effects on it, but they are more atmospheric than distortion?

Cheers as always!

Solid fusion of ol skool hh and electro. Kinda reminds me of 90's rap group Nice and Smooth (look them out) - Glad i came thru

Wow, the low end is heavy, speakers are shaking and dancing haha! Very experimental, hypnotic and kinda dark.
Love the progression, very unexpected and original stuff, great work. The outro really got me!

Exellent construction! Like a lot the drama aspect of the play, suspense, rhythm alchemy and high level of all the sound. It has the message, which is great as well!

Cool track. Definitely like the effects and their interactions with each other. Side-chaining is pumping nicely. Also liked the progressive beat and electro synths. I wasn't too crazy about the vocals (I'm mainly a instruments guy). Great work on that feedback effect!
