Thanks for the review John. I didn't realize my tracks were not set to be downloadable...I just changed them all. If you're still interested, I'd be honored if you downloaded the track. Don't forget to send out props to Slap Johnson for the great sax work.
Omg... this track gave me goosebumps listening to it. You really found a good equilibrium of all the elements in this song. It really doesn't need any more vocals as is. I look forward to more of your tracks here on the site. Keep on making great music.

Thanks for the nice review. There was a melancholy feeling inside this one that you might have tapped into (I hope). A lot of my stuff gets "bright" "bouncy" "happy groove" kind of reviews, when in fact I'm not intending it to be. There's always some pain buried in there. My bad, I guess.
Considering your resources (and I know what it's like to have very limited resources at your disposal) this sounds really good. My only criticism is a bit of the percussion stuff, really mostly the weird shaker/highhat sound that gives it a sort of computerized synth edge that to me detracts from the rest of it. Maybe you can find a nice sample of a really sizzly ride cymbal, or something that sounds a little more natural? It only bothers me so much because it seems to be pretty persistant the whole song and by the end I really wished it was something else. Rhythmically it's fine... I'd just say find another sound to replace it.
You're right about that percussion sound. It was kind of nagging on me as well. Taking your suggestion and will tweak with something different. Thanxs.
