thanks so much! please remember that because these tracks are all live and done in one take it takes a little while for things to "get going" as it were, hence the delay (no pun intended!) in getting to "the good stuff" :-)
Wow, you're doing stuff with your guitar I've never heard before. I used to have a lot of Electroharmonix stuff, including big muff pi and hot tubes. I also had a morley volume pedal. What i didn't have then, or now, is your imagination.
This piece is absolutely amazing and I thank you for sharing it.

after reading your description I had to hit play ... and I'm glad I did ... ;-)
this is ambient in it's full meaning!!!
incredible patient playing man ... you really give the sounds the time they need to develop their brilliance ... that's very hard to do and I have a lot of respect for this ability!!!
brilliant piece of art ...
fantastic track!!!
i saved my session in ambiloop and so i guess i could provide the four loops that constitute this piece if anybody might like to take them and use them somehow?
more detail on the piece itself - the fourth loop comes in after the second "solo" and is all ebow. i gradually add in ambiloop's own delay, set to two non-identical delay times (didn't program them, i just made sure they were different :-) ), then slowly fade out loops 1 & 2 which were panned hard left & right, then fade out loop 3 to leave just the ebow loop with the ambiloop delays. i thought i made a nice ending to the piece.
oh, delay times : tracks 1 2 and 3 are 8.8889 seconds and track 4 is 13.3333 seconds.
thanks again for your support and encouragement, guys! :-) :-) :-)
Of the 3 impromptu pieces I thought this one was by far the best. Very chilled reminded me of Steve Hillage and some of his ambient work with The Orb and System 7. Good job.
From the end intensity of part 2 into this number just blows me away...this third version just took me Tuva, this kind of music i have been listening to for a while, i can hear throat singing on this but that is just the mind set you put me in...man enjoyable stuff.
Part 2, i am into this, don't know if that shift at the start was a happy accident but it gets attention, nice ballad of ambience i am enjoying. cheers
The hiss doesn't matter cause this is great, nice piece of music you create, relaxing and meaningful, this puts me in mind of 'Peter Green' a great marriage of minimal sounds, cheers.
Hey Dave, welcome to looperman! This is pretty cool, love the ebow, have one myself and have 1 tune in which I used it so far. Interseting song with some cool sounds.
Eerily beautiful track. Similar in style to the soundtrack guitars in the movie "sling blade"-which I thought were awesome.Love the effects manipulations. How much of this is a product of the EBow? I have always wanted to play around with one but have never even seen one in a store near me.Nicely done and congrats on the new guitar.
@spp - how much is ebow? on this track i'm not sure there is any. i copied & pasted the same blurb for all three tracks :-D there's definitely some on track two (check out starting around 4:48, it's almost flute-like, then it loops and cacophonises with itself 8^D ).
i plan on making some youtube videos on how do i do all this stuff. my userid there is also dave422x. there's a bit of ambiloop sutff there, but no ambient stuff as of yet.
ebows are great! :-)
@dbl - thanks for inviting me here! i loved the diving bell... must get out and about, will listen when time permits!
