First things first. I can tell just by looking at the waveform you added more volume to you mix, that's a good thing!
Great intro, your vocals are strong and the dreaminess of the pad behind it is nice. The guitar adds the opposite of the pad, some gritty sound to oppose the pad. The piano is incredible. Epic song Cam, quite a pleasure to listen to!
I'll take a guess on who wrote the lyrics. Was it Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam?
Hey Wayne, thanks so much. Generally I do try to make my mixes fairly quiet and then pull the master up about 6-8 db. Oddly, I've started looking for the same thing in waveforms that you noticed.
Also, great guess but no! Now that I think about it, kinda does sound like one of Vedder's lyrics doesn't it?
I think this is the first 9+min track I've listened to on LM.
Your Vocals are perfect (of course). The panning Synth at the beginning was a nice touch, it drew me into the track and wouldn't let me go. I really like your choice of Electric Grand as well as the other Keyboards and Pads.
pulls out all the stops and then some! i mean jesus!
obsessed and cool as hell.
would not have put it together without the hint, def hear it in the pulse!
Hello, Like others before me, I have to say that the voice is very beautiful and expressive. It goes perfectly with the piano. Also the dramaturgy of the song with the musical increase the use of the drums, beautiful! You'll manage that with the mix. Greetings Manu
I certainly hope you're right about the mix lol. Still, most of us aren't trying to make money off the stuff we're uploading here. So if you're not trying to make music from the heart, what's the point?
100% honesty, the track for me started @ 2:15 IJS. The sound is Epic from there to the end. Your Vocals are pristine from the beginning to the end. The sound engineering is great, to my ears.
I've never really paid much attention to vocals in the past but, that's changing now that I hear so many super talented vocalist here on LM.
Great track. Faved..
I throughly enjoyed this track. I wish you'd edit your description and take out that self-deprecating remark; your vocal is very nice. It reminds me of stage singing which is an art form, and requires a lot of discipline. Might be your calling?! LOL.
Hey Mykael, thanks so much! You're really on to something with your stage singing observation, as my undergraduate degree was in opera. And I still sing in operas from time to time. As cool as it is, it's not really a very lucrative calling lol.
Also, I appreciate your concern but self-deprecation is just kinda my thing lol
Lol well, to be fair, more doesn't necessarily mean better. This is something I've always had trouble with because my impulse is always to add more, more, more.
Your voice is beautifull and the piano playing also!!
The lyrics are so ...(sorry my english is not that good to explain well) but i feel your words so what will your friend feel when she knows you make this track for her.
Now those are some nice chords on this man, hell yesss! And the vocal track fits right with it all, constantly evolving and interesting. Love those progressions, and the dist chord that's the touch right there, I'm all over this, nice one!
Killick, nicely done. Your vocals are expressive and the instrumentation supported the vocals perfectly. I also thought the key of the song and chord progressions made this a pleasing listen. The drums sound wonderful as well as the organ and the guitar solo @ 5:00.

Well Killick you def got the vocal chops and a very nice touch on the keys. Don`t know why some people seem so inclined to dump all their problems on others day but in the case you describe perhaps seeking the reassurance your words provide...aside from that, thought you did a fine job on the lyrics and a top class job on their delivery & accompaniment...a big well done to you....keep on..Ed (gotta fav this one)
I see xstokes mentions steve reich it's where I went as this wove it's spell, youve got a great sound on that piano and everything else is beautifully clear and balanced too
Nice work
This is nice, strong piano track. Did you by chance use any of the piano plugins from Ableton or from in the Packs? I haven't been able to get a solid piano sound from within Ableton. Just wondering what you used.
Hey Wayne, so glad you enjoyed. No I didn't use any of the packs for the piano on this one. I used Pianoteq Studio. But I did use Ableton's grand piano hybrid pack for quite a while.
The only advice I can give is based on my personal experience. But what I did was built a custom instrument rack for the Ableton piano and attach a few stock plugins to it. Then I just set that to favorites, so I'd always use my pre-set.
I'd EQ 8 and boost a high shelf, (Not too subtly either, 2 or 3 db) a little light compression, saturator with drive boosted a bit, then reverb/delay. Just the reverb on its own will make a huge difference, piano really benefits from a sense of space.
Precioso piano de introducción,para dar paso al resto de la orquestación. Gran tema. buena mezcla. Me gusta amigo Killick. Que tengas una buena tarde. Paz y salud en el mundo.
