This is Stunning. Well ,any song that has Patricia is guaranteed FIRE! Top notch performance and production. Im left speechless after the guitar solo. NOW Im 1 and done. FAVED Peace
Nice unorthodox guitar chords over the vocals, very Blondie. The mellow solo is not too bad either. There is quite a bit of volume difference between the loud and soft parts. I'm assuming that is by design, but you could consider squashing the track a little with some master compression (or turn the quiet parts up a little, it would spare my speakers).
This song was definitely 100% inspired by the vocals. I wanted to make a song that is surprising but also weird. I was also happy that i could record some guitar for a change, hah.
This is different! Some cool guitars, and bass actually, along with all the other elements. Wasn't prepared for that first change up but I liked the transformations through this track. And the mix and production sound awesome, you obviously know what you're doing!
Wow,Adrian Belew and Nile Rodgers? In a way i think you have a point there. I really wanted to make a song that is kinda weird, and i think it got it right, heheh.
And best of all,i got to play some guitar for a change too :D
what an incregibly brilliant song this is ... the first vocalist is like coming from the 60's, 70's with those melodies ... outstanding ... as the whole mood ... like some kinda Tarantino movie ... unique attitude for rock, never heard this kinda music ... breaks are super cool ...but mixing is a bit porridge ... but if that was the goal then kingdom ... :-)
Wow, thanks for the review,Danke. There are very talented people here on Looperman.
Sometimes i take a break from mixing for other people, and i do my own music. And when i find some quality vocals on Looperman, good things will happen, hehe.
I loved Shelly's voice the first time i listened to one of her tracks a while ago (Forgot the title) Anyways she can spit! this is dopeee! loving the change up also, this is GREAT Work no doubt!...KUDOS! Keep up the Awesomeness!
Hi there :) Yeah,Shelly can spit,no doubt about that. Sometimes you just get lucky and find someone who can rap with conviction. Hhehe,im glad you liked the song. i wanted to mix hip hop with dance/rockish vibes. So you get both, slow hip hop but also something fast paced. I always like to combine the weirdest things, hahah. Thx for listening :)
kinda prog/rock from the best league...I can hardly imagine on this for example the hip hop speech...rather a kind of opera like vocs...but that's me only...great tune, hope you'll find someone to get the peak of the song...:-)
Yeah,i know, that rap suggestion was a bit weird, haha. I was just thinking that maybe some youngster can figure out how to squeeze rap in this song, lol. Who knows. Of course some type of operatic vocals style would be good fit here. But im open to any ideas and styles.
Very nice! Really like how you "tricked out" Bunnierabbits vocals with kind of a rough thingee going on, creative! And the rap, good idea too, totally added to everything.
Thanks Pat. Yep,i didn´t spend too much time adjusting the vocals,i just "winged it".I cut here and there and quickly placed the vocals in the song just according to the feel alone. So sometimes the vocals kinda overshoot the whole structure of the song. I like that approach cos it makes you think the song in more strange way.
Without a doubt out of all the remixes of this song out there this is the best one I have heard. You do a nice job choosing underlying chords, the mono old record beginning adds an Old European feel to it. And your version is darker and a bit slower than the others I love it. Great Work
Thank you very much for that great comment, buddy! :) It´s always nice to see people who really think deeply about music like you do. All hope is not lost, hehe.
To me that old record in the intro is about falling into your memories. But that " old Europe" idea is awesome too,i just never looked it like that but now i totally get that too.
Yeah, this song has definitely that dark yearning feeling to it.
Maybe because the singer is from Russia and i´m Finnish( right next door, lol),maybe that kinda glues the song together too.
When i heard her lovely vocals,it just had to be this style and this arrangement. I had no choice ,if you know what i mean.
Thank again for the knowledgeable comment. I guess you are little older generation too? I´m -74 myself. Usually younger people don´t make the comment you made,so i was just wondering.
Yep,Cuzzincoo..i made this one. Actually this beat and melody are close to 10 years old now :D This song was just waiting some good vocals and thanks to Looperman,i got the song finished.
i love it that haunting feeling in the rhythm, it even made me
uncomfortable, it is in your face, specially with that voice.
That flat voice does it, it strogs the haunting feeling.
Great job
No problem bro.Its good to know that the rapper likes the finished product, heheh.
Thanks for your flow and rhyming too. This song would not be the same without your rapping. Actually this song was first some typical instrumental but then i had this idea of coming to Looperman to find some vocals and stuff. When i heard your rhymes....that was it. You got that harder style of delivery and i prefer that.
Keep on doing your thing bro and use this OUR track to try to get ahead with your rapping.Keep me in mind if you ever need some music to your rhymes.
I like to do all kinds of music and hip hop is fine with me since im a drummer at heart.
Thanks so much,Thyroid :) All i can say is that when i use something with so much quality, like Patricias vocals....you better believe it that i will match every note, every rhythm of the song to her voice.
She´s just the best and she deserves only the best.
Patricia, your comments are always so enthusiastic,i love that!
It seems that you understood the song exactly how it see it too.You even got that smoky ambiance thing in the " solo".
Yeah, the middle "solo" part has a certain ambiance for sure. I had this idea of really bass-heavy new-jazz band jamming on stage and the guitarist is playing with minimal touch, cool as a cucumber, lol.
And from that middle part, your beautiful voice sends us for a grande finale! During that final chorus, you just distance yourself from the mic like a great singer diva, heheh. That´s why your voice fades in the end.
The band takes over the song and stop on a dime while the DJ inserts some random noise to remind the audience that music is supposed to challenge the listener also.
GOD bless you,Patricia.Your comments are always awesome like you are too.
