Mediocre at best. Again, claiming pro quality? A little over exaggerated I think :)
Like I was saying in the forum,.. I *thought* my stuff was good until I heard what I was up against on here... And I've learned a lot from my looperman fam. Become a little more humble, learn... and grow from the people here and you will go far :)
Hmmmmmmm,.... I'm not gonna be as harsh as the other reviewers here, that's for sure lol
Most of the elements *are* there for a decent commercial track. Certainly much more so than most tracks I hear on this site...
My initial thought on the vocal quality - not good. I'm thinking it was because of EQ settings teamed up with a poor quality mic, but you say it was due to the mix?
Tracks are supposed to be memorable to the listener because of a powerful hook. If I said to you "still Dre" - the track will probably pop into your head instantly... I don't get that feeling from this... Something to work on in future :)
That being said, you DO have potential... probably one of the better rappers I've heard on this site - but lose the arrogance mate - it doesn't suit you ;)
I dunno how you can rep studio quality with this bro,
Tha mixdown on your vox is terrible... I had to turn off me speakers
it was that bad.... with that being said, from tha rhymes I heard
you've got talent, but yeah this ain't good quality vox recording....
I dunno what you did with it but it be way too distorted... but this is
only me opinion... beat was ILL though... from what I could hear from it...
Thanks but I'll reiterate again, its a miniscule studio, I did my own mixing and mastering, and I claim to be no pro in either of the areas. But I can rep studio quality just for the sole fact that it was recorded in a studio. Im sure with someone more professional at mixing and mastering could do a better job making it sound well, but I tried. But thanks for the criticism.
I think your flows are nice. The quality is not so great though.
I cant tell if its the mic or the mix. Get you the right tools and you will go places man! Kudos on the track. Slaughterhouse for life!
This track got my attention because your simply having fun with it concept and lyrically-wise. That's what hip-hop is all about and hope to hear more - Don't stop!!
