You may laugh but I used some kind of Audacity in the mid of the 90s to start my first mixes. It was called Triple Dat. So yes, it is a DAW.

I'm sure you can find some 808s on this platform I think the vocals need to be turned up a little bit too. I think it's pretty cool I think it's lacking a Melody though
