Hey, this is a cool jazz track! I've never been the biggest fan of jazz with vocals, but I can appreciate the performances and songwriting in this one. Did not expect the female vocals to come in, but it was a pleasant surprise. Still a looperman legend you are! Hope all is well!
That's very cool. It may take time to listen to all of your tracks but overall I enjoyed it eventhough it's basically the same theme played over and over again.
Hi 40A,
I love GNR but I haven't heard Chinese democracy yet, so I will take your comment as a high compliment. After reading your profile statement I would find it most interesting to hear what you actually thought about my production.
Damn..I had my volume a little high..that intro blast nearly blew my f...ing ears off!lol...Hey Steve, great to see you back man!..trials and tribulations always bring the 'backbone' ;) out(for those that have one that is)and the righteous angst is dripping off the leaves on this one..I just love the vocals and lyrical content,no messin' about, straight from the heart material which clothes this piece in a tailored suit of sincerity.....since I first commented on this song slot back in the Loopolithic era I've learnt a thing or two about sound...first off the mix is great!(f...ing great actually)..without going into a long diatribe about my frequency bias, the only thing I'd change is giving a bass boost to the baritone sax, everything sinks or swims in the mid range and that's all covered superbly here, giving a bit more grunt to that big mother will create a perfect bottom water mark.......Music like most things speaks to the beholder on many levels and gives an insight often unexpected into the creator's psyche,it's why your material has wide appeal and will no doubt continue to expand according to the Big Band Theory! haha....excellonto! cheers Dave :)
Hi Dave,
I had to upload the new track on top of an old track due to the amount of songs I have on my page. Back in the old Looperman days, Mr Loop gave me extra track space but since the re vamp that privilege has ebbed into the either. I would need to delete a load of tracks just to upload a new one.
I am not fully operational at present, so this one was mixed on headphones which isn't ideal. I will boost the baritone up as this was only added yesterday after Alexander mentioned it needed one. I hope all is well with you guys in OZ and I think we are doing another collaboration aren't we?
Hey Steve, nice to back on the loop again .. love this funky track.. right up my street. I´ve just finished working the season and I´m back in the studio recording again and lovin it. Great work as usual mix and production perfect and great vocals. Mik
funkin great track ....I think you already have some big returns on that keyboard Slap...A special well done to Alexander..big talent on display for sure...I`m just listening to this one on a PC I use for internet etc Slap and commercial speakers but I`m hearing a really good mix...lots of air...really nice placement of all the instruments with the leads nicely up front...sounding like pro stuff to me...will crank up my studio pc in near future & giv it another listen....Wll done indeed.....Ed
Slap....you guys are doing some great music over here man...Hope to catch up on a few more now that the loop is back up...You and Alexander definityely make a great musical team....Keep on....E
