this is masterful looping!! the flow is so natural and the arrangement is constantly surprising but so in service to track, makes me think of the great jazz arrangers like sonny blount or gil evans - nevermind these words - it's fantastic and darkly luminous song. much much respect, brother
A lot of atmosphere in this piece. I like the vocal texture a lot, though wonder if it's perhaps a tad too deep in the music and under the beat, because that makes the beat the focus rather than the vocals; not sure; you've probably played with it endlessly, as I would, and landed here as the best mix so I'll shut up about that. But then there's no vocals in a good part of the track, and I couldn't really understand the words, so yeah, I'm still leaning toward a little more spotlight on the vocals so the music is a setting for them rather than the vocals just being another element in the music. So I ramble. Can't help myself, I'm still pondering the mix, but good stuff and I enjoyed it.
I HERE 'YA...I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING ON THE VOCALS...I TRIED THE SONG THRU DIFFERENT SPEAKERS...SOME DIFFERENCE BUT, I'LL KEEP TRYING... "PEACE THRU BEATS"!!!
