Downloads not allowed? Hidden track, forever out of reach. But dammit... It's all I have left.

This is intense. Great guitar tone too. Not too chunky or tinny, very nice. Good sustain, love it. Agree with crypt on the voice effect. It's like a droid speaking. So cool. :)

Excellent piano melodies. I love the effect on Elaine's voice. It adds a coldness to the words. Really awesome. Then when the guitar comes in, just fantastic man. Nice work on this track. Faved.

I really like this...I think I reviewed it before, but am more than happy to listen and review again. I would love a copy some time.

Some great arrangement on your part...I really like your progressions.

I'm glad you are still here Elaine. Looperman would not be the same without you. As soon as the track is finished I will gladly send you a copy. My music creation goes a bit slower since I moved and now I have to be a lot more quiet.

I can't believe I haven't heard this piece before now. Great lyrics and vocals on a sweet, spartan backing track.

Love it

Really nice use of Elaine's pella of John's poem. I like the way it starts off mellow, then gets heavier as it goes on. Very nice work....

Peace,

This is nice. Like the contrast between the poem and metal. Very creative.

That's JPB, not PJB, lol, but thanks for the thought anyways.

I like what you've done, please do send me a copy. If you want to see what I did with the acapella it is used in a track called though.

Faved (please do send a copy)

Oops. Sorry about that, Brother. I have corrected it now. A little case of alcohol-fueled dyslexia. LOL. Once I get finished I'll post the entire track for download. For some reason my track plays back about a 1/2 tone slower than it should on here.

Pretty lame of myself to have created an account for the sole purpose of reviewing this track. I have no lyrical, instrumental - let's face it, absolutely no musical talent what-so-ever to share here on Looperman. Just wanted to give credit where credit was due. I am quite literally on the edge of my seat awaiting what's to come in the future. Don't you EVER give up on your talent. It clearly loves you. And damn, do we love it. But there's not a thing in this world that I love more than you.

This is the second track I have reveiwed today wherein an artist has written a song for their beloved. Very, very nice; I like the drums sync'd or not. Great writing and vocals & guitar playing also. Btw, did ya get the girl in the end son?? Lol, I'm sure you did, great job peace... D

I know your fiance would adore this song

Reminds me of Steven Curtis Chapman for some odd reason

I used to listen to him back in my religious days. I've always been a metal head with an open mind. Thank you for the kind review. :)

things turn out good when you have good inspiration..like your future wife. This song is great. excellent composition and playing. yeah your vocals are a little quiet, but your guitar sounds awesome. when you play it for her, she must really feel loved.

Thank you for the review. I agree completely with your comment on inspiration. This song was never even mixed or mastered. It's just my ode to someone who made me feel alive. The point of the song was to say that; while no one can make you forget about the bad things that happen to you in life there's someone who cares enough to give you a place to sleep(hence the name) and rest without worry. Thanks to everyone who reviewed.

Glad to see you still come around. This sound reflects a new maturity, growth and emotion I hadn't heard before or maybe you're just in love. ;-) Anyway, I like it. I agree with JohnnyG and I was thinking of adding a high thin string arraingment flowing behind it all. Good luck to you both.

Moke, I've missed the way you think, bro! I've got a video of me actually writing and recording the song while she's in the next room, oblivious to what I'm doing. If people like the song, I might post the accoustic track and see what people could add to the composition. As for keyboards or string sections; you know I'll have to holler at you Moke. Thanks for taking the time to remind me why I used to come to this site.

cool job ! but to me, seeing that you put the drums in secondary it made the song seem a little rushed and slightly out of time? killer jam very cool but just a hair out of sync! i would try throwing the drums in first then singing over the top last in the mix to let the beat roll you into it lyrically, other than that this was a very cool thing! nice job! anchor.

LOL. Yeah. That's what I was saying, Johnny. I recorded differently than any song I've wrote. I just thought it was pretty decent considering the circumstances. The video I made to test it sounds better (just me and guitar). Thanks for the honest review, man. I missed my looperman.com reviews. *sniff* *sniff* You guys are great! :D
