wow when I saw Jon Lord I had to stop, Machine Head was one of my favorite lp's back in those days. It sounds just like his set up, what are you using for this? I would think those were long gone.
Hey Brillbilly,
thanks for listening and for your kind comment, bro!
And yes, Bonnie's voice is superb and everything fits together easily around that!
Hi Stefano,
Really like the chord progression you built for this wonderful vocal track from Bonnie.
Well done!
Domenico

Hi Stefano,
Wonderful track! Love the organ, very well played and "Lordesque" (even if the passage around 1:24 reminds me a lot of Mr. Tony Banks preparing his supper)
The double-bass drums are powerful and solid.
Decisamente niente male!
Grazie!
Domenico
PS: I have to agree with R01D, you have some clipping here and there, but the song is really enjoyable.
Ahh that first note, my heart just skipped a beat. I love DP and Rainbow. I love how John Lord left his Hammond for his replacement in retirement Don Airey. RIP John, good work this song is awesome
I really like the arrangement and composition, but the mix needs some work. It sounds like a lot of tracks are peaking individually, try turning all of them down and it will add a lot of dynamic range to your track.
Don't be afraid to make a quiet track, its a lot easier for me to turn up my speakers than it is for you to spend time making the song as loud as possible and still sound great ;)
Various feelings in there wrapped in different atmospheres . Impossible to get bored on such a lovely track .
You're offering a delicious music piece here, Stefano .
Thanks a lot . I'm fond of it .

I`ve loved that B3 sound since I first heard Booker T...Wish NI still made their B4 vsti (I have an old version that runs (partially) on my 64 bit system)...Great playing Stefano and you really nailed the vibe....much enjoyed....Ed
Well, I haven't found yet a completely acceptable Hammond emulation, particularly for Leslie.
For the organ sound in this track I used both Cakewalk Sound Center and a free vst plugin called Organized Trio, which is not bad especially for that 'deep rock' preset (there is also another nice preset which emulates ELP's Pictures at an exhibition).
As a DP fan, I had to stop by and have a taste of you track, Stefano . Wow ! I'm standing up behind my desk ! This is a glorious tribute !
Thx a lot and bravooo !
Carole
Wow Stefano, this an awesome piece of work. You have recreated that wonderful fusion of baroque rock which was a sound unique to Purple. The keyboards here would have Jon standing in his grave and applauding. This is a wonderful tribute to one of my favorite bands, 'Child in Time' is my number two fav track of all time.
beautiful sounds and mixes, sir. i like how you changed up the groove towards the end. i needed that. great feeling beginning to end. big congrats on this track, Sea! Dan
Hello SeaDog, Great melodies and pieced well. Powerful as the sea but when the sun (listen) is timed just right it's a pleasant scene. I enjoyed the listen and thank you for sharing with us. Creative works, Peace.
this is one of your best Stefano....your music reminds me how great it is to have these little music communities like LM where we can hear music that is so different from the canned stuff on our radios....we are all products of the music environment we grow in I think..and I really enjoyed this one...just caught up with it this evening (Wed night here in Canada) and it was a pleasure...great job....Ed
Hey Ed, I'm very sorry! I just realize now that I forgot to give feedback to your comment!
Thank you, for your kind words, bro, and I'm glad that you enjoyed my little track up there in Canada...
Yes, LM is a wonderful place and I already feel part of this little big community, even though I'm a newbie!

The Hammond sound of this track has been mainly created with a couple of plugins: Cakewalk Sound Center and Organized Trio.
I'm happy that you liked it!

Effettivamente, ho inserito una citazione di un passaggio da Supper's Ready, mi sembrava ci stesse bene...bravo per averlo scoperto...10 e lode!

Well, the Hammond sound is one of the most difficult instruments to render digitally because it has that ... very analogic peculiarity!
So this is only a "synthetic" view of the original monster!
Thanks again for listening and for your kind words!

Actually, I think that I could develop some parts of this track to make single songs out of them.
But, after all, it's just a Journey!
As Baudelaire said:

Just awesome bro!!
I was uncertain whether to upload this track, because I was not sure that it could express in an effective way my idea.
So I'm happy that you appreciated a little tribute from a fan to one of the biggest rock organists.
And yes!, 'Child in time' is a timeless masterpiece (I'm listening to it while writing these words and I can't stop shivering!).
Thank you for stopping by and for your kind words!

Yes, I liked to add that hip-hop groove in the end just to change rhythm before the final diminuendo...
