Great samples. Way old school. Really like the vibes sample. All it needs are some cuts and a strong vocal and it's good to go. Bassline could be a little louder/thicker on my monitors. Love this style of music.
The sample fits well with the music. Wouldn't mind hearing cross-genre vocals in the first and last part. Feels a little sparse in the beginning. Maybe adding a sub synth or additional vocals would fill out the mix. Great start and well executed.
Sounds great. Groovy.
I know you are performing a cover and it's very nicely done. Wondering if you put together the midis for it too, well played midis. I imagine that you are very good live bc the vocal sounds relaxed and practiced.
Hello There! Thanks so much for stopping by. I'm happy to know you enjoyed the track. Thanks also for your comments. I did not create the midi track. I purchased it.
-like method man did with roni-size. I can def hear an aggro rap over this. A breakdown or something like that in the middle would be fantastic. Good drum programming and arrangement. Mix is just fine. The ending sounded a little abrupt to me with no reverb tail. nice DnB flavor.
-Slimm
what beatzmode said. The snaps are tight with the pluck. Also like the vocal sample(or maybe vocal synth(doowops)).
I just moved from Los Angeles, if that's the LA reference you def lived in a better area than I did! :D
Nice track.
-Slimm
Hehe. really shines for me from about 1:10 until the ending. Massive bsod in progress. Kudos for proper abuse of midi. Good 'boss' music for a twisted videogame. Cooool \m/
I like this wub. Seriously good use of that type of sound out of dubstep context. Production is crisp too, breathes and pumps in all the right places. Good one.
-Slimm
Everything you've done here is pretty sweet. My only complaint is that the vocal source sounds a little "boxy" maybe a little treatment on the vocal track would set it off. The relative volumes are perfect, but the mix isn't quite gripping the vocals in front center yet. Great vocal performances and a tight track composition. Hope you keep working on it. Very nice!
-Slimm
Modern production is tying together a history lesson for my ears. This is what fusion jazz is all about! Bass funk riff is pretty epic. It's like the evolution of man poster where the left side is a chimp and the right side is the modern human. Your chimp side is pretty wise already though. I swear this is all meant as a compliment. The track is very good. cool mixing. Pure swank.
-Slimm
Nice track! I like the super chill attitude of the track overall. Harmonica sample has a very sentimental feel to it. the beat and acompanying synths are spot on with the sample.
Question in the form os statement: Thought we were not supposed to use copyrighted samples. This sample is from Neil Young's 'Heart of Gold'.
If I'm wrong let me know please, I'd love to upload some of my own with commercial samples in them.
The track is dope as hell.
-Slimm
You right about that sample Slimm. This beat is not for commercial use, that is why i can put it here.IF anyone wanna use it commercially then it becomes a big deal and it has to be cleared then.Drop your songs here, lets see what you can do.Am glad you like it.
Oh Snap! This track got proper all of a sudden with just a few changes. Keep tweaking, it's paying off bigtime!
Automation is the key imo.
Good job.

Four on the floor rhythm pump is classic electro-disco. Put this in the ipod shuffle on the space robot you build. Basses are nice and gritty. Reminds me of Anthony Rother a bit.
Genuine retro feel always with your tracks.
-Slimm
I like this track. Super cool switch up into wubs and tasty drops. Mixed clean too. Great job on this. You're well on your way bro! Keep producing. \m/
-Slimm
I like the interplay of layers here. Innovative arrangements.
It really shines for me after the break at 2:00. This track is ripe for resampling cross-genre.
Super nice mix of sounds.

Spivkurl nailed it in his review. I'll add that the dubstep genre is plagued by over-arrangement and spastic everything with slammed speaker-ripping mixes. You've taken the sounds and vibe and put some real intelligence and class behind it. Very good dubstep, mixed well. Keep it up man!
-Slimm
A big thank you Slimm for your review too ;)
Like I said before I wasn't expecting many people to enjoy the experimenting, but seemingly it works out correctly ;)
Cool gaming music here. Takes off nicely at 1:00. Hear some tuning arguments in background samples but they are minor(omg pun).
Appreciate how far out you reached with the sample styles, very different genre sources.
Well done.
-Slimm
I like the plucked synth eastern melody at 1:00. The bass is nice and fat too. Arrangement at 1:50 is my favorite part, very cool chords. It's time to do some breakdancing... need cardboard box...
-Slimm
Refreshing to hear a rap that isn't all hookers and machine guns, strong lyrics. :D Instrumental is sick. Mixed well. Wouldn't mind hearing some 808 sub-kicks here and there for accent.
-Slimm
Very cool vibe here. I like the vocal sample but agree with Valve that it needs some tweaking if you want to keep it prominent in the mix. Could put simple lfo on it and knob-ride automation or some ping pong pitch delays if you are low on knobs. :D Sounds like perfect gaming music to me. It would calm me down when i realized the key needed for the end of level door is the same one dropped two worlds ago to make room for more arrows.
I checked the button bass link to see what was up. The cube is an environment that models a midi interface, that doesn't interest me very much, bc real world midi interfaces are both cheap and excellent these days(not the lemur, grrr). To me a sample pack is like a puzzle, and if you put it together "too correctly" it looks a lot like the picture on the cover of the box. This mix represents one available picture, a composition, the cube represents many pictures, it's a device, like a sliding puzzle. The cube is not a song.
Your arrangement here is very good, and in my opinion remixing content you don't create is helpful in isolating the arranging process and improving your song structure skills. In the end it's not how cool the sounds are, but how the arrangement guides the listener's attention to the sounds and the message.
Did I just lecture like an ass?!
My bad. Nice track bro! Good arrangements. :D
Well looking back in the comments, I now view things differently, making a song out of loops isn't necessarily wrong. It surely isn't unique but now my view changed that doing so makes up for a interesting change in what I normally produce. what makes making music fun is that it brings joy to people.
I think your comment is very well thought out, and describes the idea of the cube indeed in detail.
But I am happy you enjoyed this track nevertheless ;)
