love the synth choice everything works really well, think it needs some vocals though. If you cant get vocals maybe an extra synth+melody to keep it interesting?
Well man, I normally don't record my own vocals I like to stay learning production, being it's not my strongest suit yet. Thanks for the feedback. I am looking for people who might want to do vocals over my newer stuff though. Thank you.
I wanted to drop a line to your track, but I don't see it
anymore or maybe I missed it, the eyes don't see to well anymore...
When I was looking for the track, the site went bonkers on me
things started freezing up hard to go from page to page...
I also Downloaded (Dreaming) I really like that as well...
Thanks for taking the time to listen to the track, and for your feedback and comment. The track is not perfect, but I (we) do believe that overall it is an great track, and we are looking forward to doing more.
loving this beat, very cool.
and about the ending im guessing with vocals that ending would work pretty well. but in the mean time maybe some reverb on the end to make it alittle less sudden?
but other then that its a flawless track. :)
i agree with spiv about the intro, although the song is really cool :), love the vocoder vocals they really add to the track.
Love the little space like effects at 2.30 too :)
love the reverse technique you use in the song.
You say you used Midi drums?... they sound awesome! what did you use?
I wish i could give you some feedback on the guitars for you but i dont know the slightest thing about guitars, but they sound fantastic :D
Man, I love reverse stuff. Every project I do I reverse most things at least once to see if they fit a new way.
The Midi I used was stock kits in StudioOne. There are a few percussive loops used in the end, but it's really all about reverb. I have two different and subtle reverbs on the kit, and it helps. Mostly what helps is that I played nearly all of it with the percussion finger pads on my Midi controller. A very helpful user here gave me a shit-load of midi rhythm files, and that is what I usually go to, but I wasn't finding anything I liked or that fit, so I did nearly all by assigning drums to my Akai Pro MAX25's touch-pads and playing it by finger,.... with some considerable fixing with the mouse.
Thanks for the time and the feedback. It is appreciated.
i think the guitar doesnt fit too-i just put it there so it becomes a song haha, but ye,could have used like a piano or a dark riff rather than that pop type one.
thanks bro
this is cool man, something a little different. You've let people download, would it be cool to have this in the background of one of my songs for ambiance and add a bit of character? If not thats cool man :D
BTW at 1.00 it sounds like a horror movie! haha sounds like its straight out of the Alien movies... id check your back yard for an Xenomorph... just sayin' haha :P
haha thanks:)
I am happy that you liked the strangeness in the recording. Just trying my new equipment in here.
And yes, feel absolutely free to use it - sample it and transfom.
I said 'that's not cool' to centralsdev because yesterday he has uploaded a snippet of my recording without any significant changes, as if it was he's original production.

some amazing sounds here its got a very glitch like feel to it, love it. Especially that second part cant help but do a wee dance in my chair here haha
You say your unsure of the genre, it could be many things.. hip-hop, dance, electronic, dance, glitch, chillout... its pretty multi-genre :D
Feedback like this is very refreshing Xyllent. I'm glad this instrumental made you do a wee dance in your chair. As long as at least 1 person other than me enjoys it, then I have accomplished my mission. And as far as the genre, I agree with the multi-genre part. It has qualities of quite a few. Thanks again for the feedback. It means something. Matt.
this is a great beat man, sounds very west coast to me haha would be cool if you dropped the "dreaming" and the horns at some point and left the beat, you could have a killer verse... then leading back into the horns and the dreaming vocal for the hook. Just a thought :)
