Very nice track & flow,
i'd say real underground hip hop! The kind of de-tuned piano is fully working to make this scary ambiance.
Thanx a lot for sharing!
Thank you so much! Yes, I found a piano loop that was pretty close to what I was looking for so I used that as a basis to build off from, and then my producer and I worked out a new arragement and he played it.
Hi there,
Nice song !
My only remark would be on the vocal mix (i would have add a longer reverb and a bit of delay, maybe a doubler and lower a bit the vocals volume), so they'd be more aerial. Overall a very good song with a strong old school beat and very nice vocals.
Keep up the good work, thanx a lot for sharing.
Thanks for the comment Deope, much appreciated.I cut down on rev and delay to allow clarity on vocals, that's why maybe they sound a bit louder than mix.I like your wise input and i've noted it.Just shows the time you put in to listen to the track and m really humbled to receive your contribution. Thanks a lot mate
Hi there, nice beat.
In my opinion you could remix to change a few things (like the bass and the electric guitar sound and maybe add some brass) but the overall is working, nice old school rnb.
Nice track, nice beat.
In my opinion the vocals would need some fine tuning (with a subtle setting) with a melody editor to be sharper on this beat.
For the beat, violins part could be better for the ending, letting the verse part with more space. And you could maybe add a low-medium synth pad somewhere to give more contrast and a bit more depth.
Nice ideas to finalize ! Keep up the good work. This track has a great potential.
Yes for sure :
I have a pair of Yamaha NS-10. (Old & solid studio reference imo!)
It may be a freq. mix issue, it's an overall impression but the track is working without any modification - it was just my felling listenning to it. I think it's because most of melody lines are high in octaves & mix in high freq.
The only thing is i would say there's a lack of bass frequency volume (or a lack of equilibrium) that make a kind of lack of depth.
I can't tell if it's a mix issue about the sub being not loud enough, or if it's because all the melody lines are high in octaves and mixed with high freq. Or if the song needs another low synth pattern in the 0:37/1:10 & 2:13/2:44 parts.
Thank you for the feedback, but when I tested on multiple sound systems, if I turned them up anymore the low frequencies drowned out every other element, may I ask what you used to listen to this track?
Very nice track, congrats for the composing, the arrangement and mix.
I might have heard one disturbing moment in the choruses (from 1:21 to 1:23 and from 2:30 to 2:33) voices seem false / off harmonics (excuse my bad english).
Overall very nice & original song and thanx for sharing.
The disturbing moments are due to the vocals hitting an A note on top of a C# chord. I believe that section of the vocal is sung over an F chord in Lapette's original track. A is in the F major scale, but not in the F minor scale. I've used only the F minor scale in the whole track, so any A notes would create a disturbance.
Anyway, the disturbances in this track were created on purpose. I had several listens to both choruses to see if the vocals and the chord progression were a plausible match. The disturbances were satisfactory in general, but they were acceptable when I listened with my ears focused on the monophonics.
Nice song music & atmosphere! Very smooth to listen to.
A bit linear, it would deserve more breaks and a bit of change into the beat for the autotune part (i would also have added maybe a bit more of reverb for voices to put them in the air as the sound is, aerial), but that's just an opinion among other.
thanks for the listen & i followed you back ! bout to listen to some of your stuff myself !!
I was looking to add more reverb but my engineer confused it with putting it on the verse instead of the autotune. He did it free of charge so I wasn't going to bug him a 3rd time lol... but overall I thought he did a great job & I am very satisfied with the end result.
