Thank you very much. It's the kind of music I intend to do. Each song, a different story. Easy Listening. I have heard more of your tracks. I have been delighted.
Oh man that's insane. I love how you added a didgeridoo to this. I just read your previous comment to Anomaly, do you play didgeridoo? If you do then you're one helluva musician: that instrument requires a strong pair of lungs and good breathing technique.
My 11 year old is writing a story about pirates circa 1700 and she asked me tonight about magical traditions which might allow instantaneous travel. Naturally I immediately went to the Sufi masters and the legends of them neither being bound by time or space. I've been fascinated by this tradition more because of the music - how musicians with the right tones can create visions in the minds' of their audience. For mystical understanding, look no further than what the didgeridoo can teach! The first instrument I began performing on was the didgeridoo in Seattle around 1993. It's marvelous as a percussive instrument and guaranteed to make toddlers dance spontaneously. Even more interesting is what happens to the player after circular breathing and playing drones in the course of 45 minutes or so! Hopefully with these tones and instruments I can "transport" my listeners on voyages that are both significant and enjoyable. Thanks for the listen and wonderful review!
I wondered who might give this track a review. I should have guessed the "hyper-classical" composer would be the first to get there..thanks for listening and reviewing. I agree with you about the cello sounding too midi, in fact the higher the note the faster the vibrato, and the opposite applies also..working on it (slowly)..
What, 24 listens and still no review?! This is an excellent, EXCELLENT track! Very simple, yet the emotions overflow. I can easily see this in my playlist as I have afternoon tea with friends, especially with the final "Canon"esque progression. I guess my only cricism is that it's too short =( haha I want more man...
Whoah, amazing guitar work! Holly's voice is perfect as always. I totally got the Satriani and Santana feel... careful though, too much of that might get you sued ;)
Wow, man this is whack! Love the phasing and distortion: it's done very tastefully. I don't know if you did this on purpose, but the music drops are also well placed: keeps the whole track from being too overloaded with the synths. Excellent!
Heh! I did do on purpose. Its the VIP version so i was extending the original, and the I use all the samples that I did before and some new ones. But yeah, everything stops when the talking comes in, just for half a bar or so, to break it all up a bit.
And thank you! Im glad you liked it, I was very pleased with it :)
Great track, great progression, but I would have loved to have the indust. drums turned up louder as the bass wave kinda drowns it out. All in all great track!
Wow I agree with a lot of people, the bass in this one is just sweeet! Love the ethnic backbeats too, and Slap is awesome in the sax as always =) It's very atmospheric without overdoing the ambiance, which I think is what's mostly the problem with a lot of chill out tracks. Another thing I like is that great balance between the staccato rhythm of the drums and the smooth notes of the sax. It's strange, but this track gives me a sense of tranquility, but at the same time a feeling of freedom and a want to dance. I really really enjoyed this!
Hey thanks Ria...glad you liked it.Slap can hold a lovely note can't he...always nice to hear from you..cheers and salutations from a fellow Aussie Dave :)
Wow, this is album quality! Very clean, and great melody and rhythm. Danceable to, and not mind-numbing like a lot of trance tracks out there. I know a friend who loves trance, I'd let him listen to this one ;) He'd like it!
Great rhythm, but a little panning on the synths would have made it better though. People have already said something about the bass, so I won't repeat it. Otherwise it's a great track! Would love to hear some rap in this one
WHOAH, now THIS is hardcore industrial! Yummy. The distorted melody is reminded me of Angelspit tracks, but then as I continued to listen I find that it's not similar at all! Everything is unique and wow dude, this really packed a punch and, as brandonjames said, is quite capable of giving one a black eye if one is not very careful...
Wow. Ok first off, Helix made a great job with the music. Rock fingers all the way to the end!
Secondly, you have a great voice, and the lyrics are well written and well thought out. You have just officially become my favourite male vocalist in the loop mate. I would love to do a collab with you in the future, once I finish setting up my audio equipment with my new laptop. Love love LOVE your voice!
Waltz... mmm =) I love waltz. It sounds great, and the melody is very engaging, and great decision to add the pads too: It gave it a very surreal feel. The only thing I found was that the rhythm piano sounded a little simple? But other than that it's a great track!
Ooh lovely synths and pads used. The chord progression's quite lovely too, gives it that mysterious feel that only the night can make us feel. The synths are a little harsh in some parts though, 1:50ish, but only slightly! This is an excellent chill out track anyway.
Oh my, this is excellent! Yeah I like this very much, it doesn't sound off beat to me at all. Actually, this brings me back to my childhood days, during the fiestas, and some of my rellies would be playing music like this on the cassette player.
Wow, it was like a movie in one track. The guit was badass, and the Arab phrases added character and soul. It's a very very good track, I would have loved it longer though, but that's just greed on my part lol.
Oh, thaaat voodoo. I borrowed it (my friends needed to be punished). I'll return it soon though, don't you worry...
Anyway that was wicked, love that kooka that you added. You know one morning I actually saw about 5 or 6 kookas squashed together in our neighbour's TV antenna, all laughing at once. They created such a racket, but I can understand why those buggers where laughing.
But we're getting out of topic. The guits here were awesome, they sound almost wailing, chanting. As Acrylic said: Intense. This is really good Dave!
Wow, you know I've been looking for Middle Eastern-inspired tracks for a long time here in the Loop, and now I think I've found it. The beginning was great, very mystical. This track is so beautiful, and made all the more wonderful by the love and dedication for your daughter that is evident in this track.
For me, this track delved deep inside my imagination. That flute feels like it's luring me ever deeper into the deserts of Arabia like the Pied Piper of Hamelin himself. And who will I meet at my journey's end? Will it be the Sandman come to relieve me of my burdens? Will it be caravans trekking across the dunes of the Sahara as galaxies whirl endlessly above?
Wow. This is so soothing. I love guitars, but especially more so when guit tracks are played with such intense emotions and with such skill such as this.
Love the dark ambiance. It conjures an almost Silent Hill-type atmosphere. I like it! I know it says ambient track, and that this was halfway between ambient and trance, but i reckon an industrial bg beat would have been good too? Just my suggestion, but it's already good as it is. The distortion in some of the fx and vox added to that mysterious atmosphere. Finally, the mixed-up static voices was cool near the end. I am always spooked by and at the same time in love with white noise-type fx.
Post-apocalypse in all its glory. This is definitely an awesome track!

Truly excellent work!
Thanks lot for your review . When I said 'off beat', I meant for me to do this type of song....not that the tune was out of time. :-)
I am glad you liked it. It is the first tune of this type I have ever done. I appreciate your nice comments and am happy you enjoyed it a lot.
I already reviewed one of your songs earlier in return, and left you feedback.
Thanks again,
Randy

It is a little bit longer but it gets a bit repetitive. I will have to come up with more in the future.
