But I like it a lot! Wonderful melodic movements and beautiful tones. This is a greatly executed song. I like that the production is clean and the instrumentation sparse. A harmony part might not be bad though. Just something to add that little extra flavor. This track is going to the favorites list. Peace and Love, Six
Fantastic track. I love the flute. It is my number 4 fav behind guitar, piano and sax. Greatly expressive and intensely lyrical. This is a very well produced track with solid playing and everything fits. Your vocals and guitar playing are creeping closer to your level of skill on the woodwinds and brass. Sweet. Peace, Six
Add on: Totally Ian Anderson! I love Jethro Tull and that guy created a style all his own, not unlike what you are doing today with your music.
I love the tones of the synths on this song. You did a real good job at keeping the levels balanced as well. I am assuming that you have some kind of experience in terms of music or prodution, because this is pretty clean. Good Job. Peace, Six
Like the major key happiness of the guitar here and the tone is very pleasant. The distorted part loses a lot of clarity though. You might want to reconsider the tone for that. Perhaps try something a little more punchy. You might even be able to EQ it a little to push it forward in the mix. The playing is strong though. I dig it. If you are interested in collabing at all, I would be interested in adding a lead of the clean part. Let me know what you think. Peace, Six
Very solid use of acapellas. It is a unique challenge to put music to vox that are already finished. You have done very well to provide some sparse, emotional music. Is it possible for you to filter the recording a little bit to get the music to match the scratchy quality of the vocal? Sometimes that is a creative way to get around having a track that you like but is slightly damaged. Just a thought. I think it came together sounding nice as is. Peace and love, Six
Wow that makes me want to upload A LOT more stuff! Very cool...I like the way that you were able to pretty effortlessly change the pitch of the loops. What do you use? A completely unusual and original sounding track. Not industrial at all, just funky weird goodness. Thanks for putting together. =) Peace, Six
Six, I use Acid Music Studio & pitch change is as easy as using my + or - keys to raise or lower it. I'm happy that you like the track. I'm off to work on my rekkerd.org remix contest entries. Later dude. Moke
I like all the weirdness of this track...the sounds generally blend together without getting irritating which is hard to do when you are trying to make a track like this right? I would have liked it the drums were a little more on the backbeat to carry all the experimentation, but it's still a good track. In fact I think so far this is my favorite of yours. Peace, Six
But the sound is totally different. I think I like this one a little better actually. Something about the dark, rolling bassline. I enjoyed the little horn stabs in there too. Very cool track. Peace, Six
I am not really qualified to comment on the ins and outs of a track like this. But I like the menacing kind of feel to it, and the sparseness. Good solid beat. Peace, Six
Good tune, like the energy and style, but you need to look again at the levels because there is a bunch of clipping going on. Dig the music though. Peace, Six
Very nice sound, full and lush...I might push the vocals back in the mix slightly, but that's just me. I really enjoyed listening to this song. Finding stuff I like on looperman every day. Thanks for the ride. Peace and love, Six
Nice straight ahead rhythm and very cool melodic arrangements. Good rocking song that would without a doubt benefit greatly from a real live drummer. Sounds good though. Peace, Six
For a first attempt at anything this is pretty good. I recognize these loops from somewhere...Garage Band maybe? Whatever the case they are well utilized. Peace, Six
Dude this track is spectacular. Not sure that I would call it progressive but it's not exactly pop/commercial either. Very cool. The mix is a little bit loud though. You might consider a remix with a little bit lower levels. You are getting some clipping, especially in the drums. Other than that it's a great track! Peace, Six
Love this track! I am gonna jam on it and send you the results to incorporate into the mix. Provided of course that I have your permission to do so? Peace, Six
By the way what is the BPM of this bad boy? I figured out the key easy enough but getting the BPM has been a little more tricky.
The sounds are great! The intro reminds me a little bit of Emerson, Lake & Palmer. Not in terms of style, but the wonderful synth sounds are definitely reminiscent. There is a missing melody there somewhere though. I wish I was more well versed in this kind of style, perhaps I could offer a suggestion. I like what's here though, it sounds like a great building block. Peace, Six
Yeah the track i uploaded before needed work, and i accidently uploaded it instead of the other one, if you dont mind listening to it now again because i just reuploaded the correct mp3 file for the song. and thanks for the review regardless

For someone with "no talent" you definitely have a solid ear for the way things are supposed to be put together. No shame in being a producer/sequencer. Just a different type of creativity, that's all. You should try a looperman only track. With 5,645 loops to choose from I imagine you could do something cool. Dig the funny vocals too. You sound creepy. Funky track in an unusual way. Peace, Six
Thanks a lot for the encouragement Six. I'm showing this to my sons, see if they laugh at me now. :-)
I was thinking about an all looperman tract too. I have a rock tract made with Acid loops but it sounds lame to me. I've downloaded a lot of guitar loops from you and slap and rei that I'm excited about. I'll just put on my producer/sequencer hat and see what shows up.
That vocal was tweaked both in Audacity and in Acid to get that creepiness in my voice. I was thinking of using the song in a parody video about the Youtuber Magibon, don't ask.

Very cool to have another guitarist in the community. This song is very cool and deceptively simple, eh? You might consider doubling or tripling the rhythm guitar to give it a little more meat. And don't sweat drums, simple is good...all that matters is that they are on the beat. Good work. Peace, Six
It is simple (even though there are quite a few chords and some subtle complexity in the rhytm guitar, listen for it closely). The twin solo's are the simple part. The second guitar in the twin is only playing two notes :)
I mostly went after atmosphere. I could probably redo the solo's (there's one glaring mistake in there) and do a little less bending of strings and maybe more arpeggios and hammer-ons.
Love the funky intro! I like that the sounds are gritty, but not overwhelming. Some people have a tendency to go overboard on the synth distortion. Trying to put my finger on what this song makes me feel, but I can't quite say. I imagine that's a good thing. Peace, Six
Dave Brubeck would be so proud hearing you make the 5/4 beat sound so natural and amazing! Tight interplay and sweet, sweet melodies from all the instruments. Really brilliant. Downloaded and favoritized. Peace and Love, Six
Wanted to see what your first (or earliest of what you have now) track sounded like. And it is pretty much exactly what I expected. Unusual rhythms, tight playing and great production. You have a sound that is very much your own. When I hear your music I feel like it is easily identifiable. Not a common trait. Peace and Love, Six
For someone who does not PLAY the guitar you sure have a knack for putting guitar based music together. Another excellent track. Right up my alley. Peace, Six
