Wow this is a tightly constructed piece. All the instrumentation has good balance and the panning I think is very creative. This is admittedly not my style so I speak without any expertise, but this seems very original. Also it's a little creepy and I like that always. Very cool. Peace and Love, Six
Forever I have wanted a guitar synth. Great composition and sounds. Anytime I hear one I am reminded of "Dinosaur" by King Crimson. Adrian Belew uses a great guitar synth in that song. This is a nice mellow piece fitting of your moniker. I like it stays relaxed but manages to subtly continue to build intensity the whole way through. Very stylish and well done. Peace and love, Six
I like the relaxed groove. I think the drums sound fine. Good blend of elements and very professional mix. In particular I like the harp sounds. This is music that sort of transcends genre. Nice. Peace, Six
It must get redundant when everyone is saying all the same stuff. Let me just say that this is a nice surprise in contrast with the other three songs that you have here. I try to have some diversity in what I do and I think you have done a fine job here expanding yourself. Peace and love, Six
I'm with Rei...don't know where else to go...what a pretty song...Your presence on this site increases the talent level of the whole site. Peace and love, Six
I really like "She's Like A River". It's possibly my favorite song from this site. Now I have another. I like this song a lot. Very pretty and fantastic vocals. I think it's great. Not sure what else to say. Keep utilizing your talents. Peace, Six
If you could insert a change somewhere between 2:00 and 2:15 and make it something really full sounding and strong, when you come back to the end it will be all the sweeter. Peace, Six
Makes me sound tame. Haha. So very intense. I dig it, makes me want to break things. Then it gets all light for a second and I come out of it just long enough to regain my composure. Cool track. Peace, Six
This is very much in your vein of unusual material and cool fusions of sound. Love odd meters too. Don't use them so much because I am such a fan of the backbeat, but I love the way they sound and how the accent beat is constantly changing. I have come to expect this type of result with the work you produce and I have yet to be let down (nor do I believe that I ever will be.) Very strong. Peace, Six
This is a fun little blues groove. Like the little breakdown in the middle. Nice harp solo and excellent slide guitar. Very cool. Curious to see what else you got coming. Welcome to the smoothest music community site on the planet, looperman.com. Peace and Love, Six
Dig this beat. Good use of the orchestral sounds and I like the way you used a more organic beat as opposed to the overused electro beats. This is a cool track, when's the vox coming? Welcome to the brotherhood that is looperman.com. Peace, Six
I am laughing my ass off! Your musically accompaniment to the a capella is flawless. It's all happy and then it goes into the creepy space vibe. I like it man. I am very impressed so far. This will likely hit the favorites once the rhythm is in place. Peace and love, Six
Wow I am a big fan of this track! Great groove and crazy vox. Having read a few of your posts in the forums none of this should come as a surprise. haha. Your music and your personality are a great match. 1:30 when I added this to the favorites. The only thing that I would say is maybe consider lowering the vocals in the mix a little bit. They seem a tad loud, to me at least. Very cool. Peace and love, Six
Thanks six glad you liked it I have been so busy I don't know when I will be in the studio to make an adjustment Looking forward to checking out more of your material when I get some free time!
For a first effort this is pretty good. This is admittedly not my style of music so I am not qualified to offer any insight from that point of view. From a production point of view I can offer this. It is very important to watch the levels (the amount of audio output) that you are getting from each track and on the master track. Too high a level causes what is called clipping (a distorted, crackling sound most of the time.) Your track has quite a bit of clipping, you might want to consider a remix (in this case I mean that literally, remix the levels, not like a club "remix" or something.) Sometimes your output is too high when you are recording a live track. It is very important to pay careful attention to this as recorded input cannot be adjusted later. The clipping on recorded audio will be there no matter how much you adjust a fader or the overall volume. One way to help hear this is to have some good flat-response (no bass, treble or mid boost) headphones and monitors. That way you can hear things exactly as they are being recorded or tracked. Hope that's helpful, and as long as you love what you do, you will find the improvement will come very quickly. Peace, Six
All I am getting is a mono feed...I have checked out all my stuff and things seem to be fine...am I crazy? well maybe, but that is a whole other issue. Aside from that and the crackling sounds on the track. I like the basics of what you have here. Cool acoustic piece and your vocals are unique. Peace and love, Six
Just wondering how you are recording and mixing because you are only getting mono. I like when people dip into the historical songbook. I like this little groove, needs stereo sound and a hint of reverb though. Peace and Love, Six
needs reverb. Yea didn't have anything upstairs with reverb. I dont like the reverb from my soft ware.
Got to figure out to do stereo new to this stuff.
This is a wonderful piece of music. Very evocative and pretty. Very easy to see this as a theme for a great number of things. I really like the Ennio Morricone-style strings too. Right to the favorites with this. Peace and love, Six
I don't know what to make of this track. I like it and I think the music is cool. It's just so....ummm....disturbing.....haha. I like the guitar work and I like the sort of raw liveness of the drums (even though it is from a machine). The vocals are not my style, but they are very good for the genre. Well done. Peace and love, Six

Yeah that is the type of feeling i want the listener to feel.

As "rock" guitar guy, I am not allowed to say this, but I have always had a soft spot for synth based music. I dig the pulsing rythem and the beat is cool. I especially like the crazy "solo" towards the end. Something about that tweaked out tone that speaks to me every time. The drums I thought could be a little deeper or more organic, but that is more about my tastes than anything else. Peace and love, Six
This is not my style of music so I am not an expert critic...but what you have here sounds great! The beat is strong and the melodies are sparse and pumping. I really dig this track and for someone who learned all they know in 2 and a half years you are utilizing your talents well. Keep rolling, Six
This is a good start to something cool and homespun. It has a charm to it that I can't really describe. When you polish it, be sure to try and maintain some of that. Good sound on the guitar too. Peace and Love, Six
the polish is that I need to practice this peice a lot more. So it stays clean and in time. Will repost when I get it better. Do have some other stuff I do better that I'll post soon.
Let me say that the build up is intense. You have some good energy and some real dark and dirty stuff going on. I was listening and I kept waiting for the explosion and it never came. Don't want you to think I am dissing you or anything like that. I just think you ought to revisit this and give it the power it needs, because you had me on the edge of my seat waiting to get up and give myself a headache from slamming around my pad. Peace and love, (or in the case of this tune case blood and hate, haha) Six
Hill Street Blues, The Streets of San Francisco, Etc. I am hearing it all. I love this groove. It captures the mood perfectly. You and I obvious grew up watching the same stuff because I have a cop show song too...haha. Well done. Peace and love, Six
