I enjoy this a lot, but there are a few things I would change.
It seems like the bass is a little too soft. Almost as if there isn’t a compressor on it at all. Obviously the bass is part of what defines hardstyle and having a bass that is almost non-existent doesn’t bode well for the overall mix of the track. Throwing a compressor on it with some sidechain should boost the level to an audible point.
Also the second drop sounds a bit muddy. There are a few too many artifacts lingering in the top end of the mix. I would recommend cutting the muddy parts of the high end to clean up the track.
Overall sturdy idea and well-balanced instruments. Good work!
The drops are INCREDIBLE!! The sliding pitch of the bass is enough to make my mouth water.
I do have to say that the downtime between the drops is a little bland. I’m sure if you were to patch in a couple supersaws, some warm, atmospheric pads, or even small drum fills to keep things interesting in the background this track could be Monstercat worthy!!
Great work! I look forward to hearing more from you!
Well done friend!! I thought I heard the bass a little louder at the start of the second drop and then it seemed to go missing for the rest. I was only listening through my phone speakers though so don’t take that with too much weight, but if it was the case it should be boosted a tad!
Only constructive criticism is the flow sometimes. Namely where you say “it takes prac-tice”. I feel if you were to just say the word practice instead of drawing it out, although it would cause more space between the end of that line and the start of the next one, would make the bar sound fuller as a whole.
Other than that small detail, the rest of the best and lyrics sounds dope!!
thank you for listening, but the mix is intentional. in the beginning, the applause becomes distorted to signal the experience of two people having a distorted relationship, as suggested by both the title and the lyrics.
Everything about this makes me love it. From the flow of the vocals to the little trumpet lead in the mix, I can’t keep myself from playing this on repeat.
Outstanding job. I’d love to collab in the future if that’s cool with you.
Another dope track!! Keep spitting them out my man, these are great!
My only constructive advice would be to slowly automate the volume on the rain sample in the beginning. The abruptness of the sample ending and the piano taking over was a little off-putting. Other than that, absolutely amazing!
Dude...this is beyond professional!! This site continues to amaze me with the sheer amount of raw, undiscovered talent it can provide. Keep up the good work my man, I see you!!
I’m a big fan of the sounds you used to produce this and the vocal pitch distorting like that was definitely interesting.
My only criticisms are that the drops seemed to not be impactful enough at the start. The buildups for them almost dropped into nowhere. A few impact samples can fix that right up!
Also, the hi hats seem to be mixed a little too loud into the drops. Almost overpowering the basses. I would turn those down a bit to give your basses a little more punch!
Thanks feedback like this is highly appreciated, I like it when someone is giving a good detailed comments like this that has a pros and also cons to have some improvements to all producers, thanks again.

The kick seems a little over-compressed for the style though, just my opinion!

I’m absolutely in love with the vocal samples and how they’re incorporated into the mix. I can totally see this in a fight scene within the show.
