the first part up to 2:45 allows to set the atmosphere, very soft and relaxing. So when the rhythm comes into play, it doesn’t absolutely break that serenity imposed by the melody. Superb piece very aerial and very airy, I would even say that there is some spirituality in this work. Excellent mixing too, the sound is astonishing clarity!
Really cool track, i like how the melody make it's own way during the drums and the bass are played.
@ 1:23 and 2:23, nice cuts, that's permite to relaunch the sound. Took real pleasure to discover this instrumental version :)
many varied influences in this piece. Indeed, the tribal side is well marked, rhythmically speaking, the presence of percussion brings a certain roundness! so much input into this song that it is almost an anthem: between the oriental Arab influences, Asian at times, African!
I also noticed an austral wink with didgeridoo... even the aboriginal side is present! Sincerely, very good work, I love this mixing of cultures and nothing better to serve this cause than music! By the way did deep jungle exist before? otherwise I’ll say you invented a new genre:)
The introduction is wonderfull, i really like how it gradually takes up volume!
Entering the drums section, more tribal, more ethnic with an arabian feeling... however it stayed aerian and chilled out. I'm impressed by the high work quality in this track (as usual, in each of your tracks).
thanks a lot in sharing this few minutes of creativity!
I'm happy you found the introduction wonderful. I worked very carefully on it. I really like the appearance of the waveform - it shows how the volume gradually rises and has a very balanced look.
Yes, definitely a more tribal feel from the drums and certainly more ethnic/Eastern. I like that kind of feel but don't want to do it in every single track.
Yes, it does stay chilled out later on but I'm also trying to make it heavier though I failed to make it as heavy as I wanted.
I spent about two months making most of this and then two more months listening again and again, just changing small things, trying to somehow make things better. I'm still not happy with the final result but I don't know if I can do any better so I have now given up.
Hi there!
I'm going to let you my comment in french but if you don't understand, tell me, i will try to translate it :)
I have a lot of material that I've recorded just messing around and that I always intend to do something with. Some might get used, most probably wont.
Thanks Bleep, I appreciate that. You are correct about nothing better than real instruments. I am not using a real instrument but playing it on my keyboard using sounds from Logic.
Really cool track, i don't know how to translate it but in french we call it "un tambour roulant", it usually used in the military walk and i liked the render is this track!
Awesome track, i love this downtempo and the flow, huuuuuuuuuuuu Xcellent!!!!!
Yuo find the right melody to join the lyrics and one more time: your drums section is really impressive! Brilliant work
Thanks for your kind words. I have been working on a second album and this will almost definitely be on it. I'll take your thoughts in to consideration as it does not have a title yet. And I think that is a good choice.
And I like to add the lyrics because I can;t stand it when you buy an album andthey are not included. No matter how well a song is mixed it's easy to miss certain phrases.
Sometimes no need to make long descriptions to say the same thing in a few words, namely that we like!!!! Thus here is in a few words my message: publish an album, this title above, and I shall be the first one to buy it!
i'm not surprised to read on the comment of TheNyctopianthe reference to Front242 and others bands from the nineties which made during this years the "war beat" genre (an extansion of the new beat).
this kind of sound deliver strong message with a lot of sensibility and i'm just a musician so i won't talk about anything else than musical creativity here :)
i like the dark approach, each sound until the drums create this atmosphere, the render is perfect and the purpose is nicely targeting!
wow, that's excellent! you seem to be young, guy, and already a lot of talent! if you can, please, try to write the lyrics on the appropriate section :) don't forget that everybody here is not always easy wtih englidsh language, or it's really important to understand the message you deliver in your track :)
miss speed the artist name "big Black" and the beat came from gue2 just like i said in description, i just produced it, bur thanks for the compliment, i try my best on all my tracks. check some of those out.
Hola Dan,
Me gusto mucho tu musica!i didn't know the transistor bass instrument, seems to be really cool and full of possibilities!
About your track, for me, the general atmosphere that emerges from this piece is imprinted with Latin color. This kind of song, very festive, is ideal to close the year, the acapella is really cool and you find an original and great instrumentation to go with!
thanks very much for your comment Monsieur Bleep. It's great to hear from you. I'm very happy if you clicked with the track. The vocal is festive, as you say. If I succeeded somehow to add some hot sauce, je suis heureux. salutations et bonne année Dan
