Nice surprise on this sound, full of melancholy inspiring me a desert and chaotic land under a grey and rainy sky... Your voice, as usual, make the job, and is perfectly served by instrumentation! Thanks for writing the lyrics, for those like me who don't understand all, it's cool to read your words and catching the real message. No doubt, It's contribute to the atmosphere of the song!
There are, however, something I’ve less enjoyed during my hrearing: it's about the voice which looks like a robot... if all the others vocals effects are really great in the track, this one, i don't like it... I know that it was a part of the purpose you were searching, but For me, I think you can easily replace this robot voice by a woman’s voice!
Being a big fan of the band The Cure, you imagine what a special affection I have for all that is melancholy, and inevitably, I find a touch of cure in your writing, probably at the level of the rhythmic.
Very nice inspiration in this song and of course a big fav!

The atmosphere is very soft thanks to the melody and it's nice to listen. There are, on the other hand, problems of sound level between some tracks: that of vocals and that of the rhythm or the bass drum crushes the whole.
Then I suspect you haven’t finished this song and in a final version, if it belonged to me, I will add a bass line, long notes to accompany the instrumentation. Beautiful flow through Jenna Evans.I will add too some rhythmic variations.
in any case and in the immediate, this little sound lets itself easily listen

First i was curious to listen to this track when i saw "drum'n'bass". I didn't be desapointed: a melt between modern and ethnic... how i love the injection of oriental sounds in the second part!! this track is a real artistic performance! And the contrast between this energetic rhythm that turns 180bpm and the instruments that release a more aerial atmosphere, more vaporous, personally I love!

Yes, a nice meeting of modern and ethnic here. The oriental sounds (different sitars) in the second half are a fun surprise. Maybe I could have put some in the first half but it wasn't really necessary.

L'atmosphère qui se dégage de ton morceau me plait vraiment bien, par contre j'accroche pas trop avec cette rythmique. Ca donne l'impression qu'elle a été pitchée; pour la partie instrumentale j'aime bien les petites consonances asiatiques!

bien évidemment, l'atmosphère sombre de ce morceau nous tire vers une méditation grave sans pour autant amputer cette part créative et artistique qui rend cette composition unique et brillante! J'aime beaucoup ton travail Jack, et ce morceau là, proche "ambient" m'a donné des frissons!!! Au délà de la partie créative dont je ne peux faire que des louanges, sache que mon impression aussi positive est aussi du à une parfaite exécution et réalisation du mixage: le son est propre et clair! franchement, un seul mot me vient pour vraiment résumer mon sentiment sur ce travail: RESPECT!

et puisque personne ne parle de la basse, personnellement je la trouve trop "plate" elle manque de profondeur et de rondeur sur la longueur (vers 0:43, elle vibre d'avantage et là elle prend corps dans le morceau et occupe réellement sa fonction.
Idem que Tsochai sur la double caisse claire, je ne suis pas fan de son utilisation en permanence doublée. L'ossature de ton morceau est franchement interessant, une atmosphère est là, mais il faut encore travailler les arrangements à mon sens.

quel plaisir de voir que tu as posté une nouvelle composition! du coup j'ai écouté avec grande attention; j'aime beaucoup l'atmosphère recherchée: cette succession de petits évènements qui suivent une ligne directrice, je trouve ca original, surprenant dans le bon sens du terme et empêche toute monotonie!
A la seconde écoute, j'ai eu même l'impression que ces quelques minutes auraient pu provenir d'un set live d'un dj!
Les petites instances "acid" claquent super bien dans le morceau!
De façon plus générale, j'aime beaucoup

Après ton commentaire, je me suis dit qu'il fallait que j'écoute ce que tu produis toi aussi comme son. Je ne suis pas déçu, c'est vrai que ca sonne très expérimental et pour ma part, j'aime quand ca sort des sentiers battus et que les propositions font découvrir de nouvelles aspérités de la musique!
rythmiquement parlant, ton morceau est super interessant! par contre, j'ai (en tout cas chez moi) une grosse différence de niveaux sonores entre la rythmique justement et le reste des instruments! ce doit être une ruse de ta part pour obliger les gens à écouter plusieurs fois ton morceau lol en tout cas ça marche, je m'y suis repris à plusieurs reprises pour bien focaliser sur l'ensemble :)
je pense pas que tu connaisses Bernard Lavilliers, un chanteur français de grande renommée, et il a sorti un de ses morceaux qui sonne comme le tien par moment ("stand the ghetto")! comme quoi l'empreinte reggae est bien plus que présente dans ta proposition!

un tuyau pour améliorer le mixage? tu t'inscris sur Landr et tu auras 2 masterings gratuits / mois. Perso je m'y suis inscrit pour essayer. Vu que j'en suis content j'y ai pris un abonnement et j'ai masterisation illimitée pendant un mois. J'avais déjà un resultat pas trop dégeu avec mon propre matériel mais l'ajout de Landr apporte quand meme une belle difference avec l'original. vois pour tester ;)
concernant ton morceau, moi, la basse, je la trouve pas assez ronde et du coup elle manque de chaleur, à priori pas grand chose à faire, juste des petits reglages ^^
pour l'utilisation des instrus filtrés, j'adore et sur un plan plus global, j'aime beaucoup l'esprit de ce morceau!
