first thing what in my mind about this is Arkham Asylum. sorry if i`m offended you (i`m a honest guy).
everything is in place and sounds nice i hear every frequency which means that you mix really really good!
only what disturbs me is the 808 kick its like there is no sub or to deep for my headphones idk (i`m making music with them).
Anyway its a nice work and got some weird but nice vibes! Cheers!
I don't really understand what you mean by Arkham Asylum coming into your mind from this song. Could you explain that more clearly?
And by all means, be as honest as possible. That's why I love this community. That's the only real way I can improve.
I made the decision to decrease the volume of the bass to put more focus on the synths. They're not as prominent as in other tracks. Though now that I think about it, I should have either given the synths more intricacy or increased the bass with the synths as they are now to give the drop even more energy.
nice edm stuff! nice chords! only thing is the kick could be more deeper but its ok i think, but the biggest problem FOR ME is the snare. i do listen edm (sometime well i need to) but that snare hits too hard, too fat i mean sounds good but to intrusive try with a softer one or maybe a clap.
about the snare: your work is pumpy clubby edm track but the snare holds it back i recommend you to listen some deadmau5 and you will know what i mean here he is the master of claps and snares.
Musically is nice everything is in place!
limiter: yes it will burn down its progressive house or electro house whatever... well these genres using many instruments in the same, so you need to compress them so i`m sure in your every channel you got one compressor plus i`m sure there is one on the master channel too and at the end of the chain there is that poor limiter(it can be a compressor too if its not on default) so at the end every track from this genre look like this. try deep house with minimal piano and some minimal bass (you know what deep house is) with same method and wont be square anymore. these type of music id lack of dynamics so no stress you doing good! :)
Thank you much for your feedback! You pretty well nailed my compression setup so it's good to know im on the right track! Ill try taming the snare a little more and see how it sounds, ive also noticed that my snare is very friendly with the wall of my limter so maybe that will also give me a little bit more breathing room. Thank you for the words!
I don`t think its not interesting. the percussion is the problem it hits too hard i had a nice sleep till 1:10 and after that i fall of of my bed hope you know what i mean...
the melody, the piano even the mix and master is good only those hard hits!
nice work anyway! cheers!
nice work (my poor woofer) nice subs. everything is in place. Good vocals, i dig the vocal chops they sounds good at the end! keep up like this! cheers!
not really the genre what i`m listening but i know trap and i`m thinking the same as Spivkurl and i think need some sub bass i think just what trap about the 808 kick and thats a pretty subby one, but nice work i really dig the synth!
Turn this to a real song? Well i think this is, the guitar sounds a little bit well don`t know flat maybe? Vocal is really good and i do like the drums fat and well mixed!
nice well technically lol terrably sorry i`m not listening hiphop, but i do like the synth around 1:42 keeps it fresh! mastered good only too loud (never tought i`d say that lol).
