Another wonderful composition here. I have "Your House is Dirty" on a few mixes and have mixed it into a couple of sets at clubs in Western NY. I love your sound, such classy house with terrific melodies and a crisp sound. This, with vocals, is prime time. It's been a pleasure hearing your tunes, I'd love to have this track some day as well. Keep up the brilliant work!
Wow, now there's a track I haven't heard in a while. I had no idea that it had been played in a club, I'm kinda surprised you thought it was good enough tbh lol .. so thanks! :D
I am pleased with how this one turned out - and even more pleased with the fantastic response that this has had! It's reviews like this that make it all worth while. Thanks again man!
Wicked, man. I'm working on a progressive house album at the moment, and you've got some great talent. Keep up the great work, I'm glad the community is up and running because there's such terrific producers like yourself on here. Cheers!
happy effing hardcore.
love it.
the piano break = pristine.
that pitch shifting synth is nasty, i wouldn't change a thing about this track except to make it last for eternity.
i have no other great words for this, overall a killer production.
3...2...1... *spirals into oblivion*
wow man thanks a heap!! i liked the pitch shifting as well :D i think i have done a better job though on my newest hardcore track called sunset mix, maybe check it out if you have a moment?? i would really appreicate it! -Lorin (Dj Somnium)
phat beat, i'm not too familiar with hip hop, but this is definitely something i'd listen to. it's got this impeccable flow throughout, and the mastering of the sampled parts after slicing is right on.
thanks for wishing me luck man. means a lot, really.but this is what i was hoping to do.....which was to get people who dont necessarily listen to hip-hop to be able to get down with this
not a bad start.
it could use more of a buildup in the beginning,
some structure instead of monotony.
maybe a bass line and lead melody.
i could definitely expect someone to flow over it the way that it is, but from a production standpoint, it's a little dry.
give it some charisma.
using an mpc, techniques, and acid?
i wish i had the mpc,
i'd pump out fire with it.
put some more hours into it, i'll be glad to listen again.
peace.
you know, this is wonderful.
the production quality is sound.
the lyrics are spoken like a true gentleman.
AND it kept me near giggle throughout.
i'm looking for more.
keep up the good work.
the cello's attack felt a little distant, especially when it first started, when you threw the quick fill in around 35 seconds or so. i feel the cello should be multi-layered, have one fairly bassy with mild overdrive. reducing the attack on the cello will do wonders for the tonality and intended melodic nature.
i'll skip the guitar as it has received enough praise, i don't feel there's much more i can add to that can of worms.
i'm not feeling much of the bass at the end when it's consistent. i feel that it's the culprit of the "crackle" and believe that the mastering for this part could be a bit softer and bouncy. it's got mild upright feel to it, i believe that you should stick with that essence of the sound as it adds to the persona of the orchestral scheme.
regarding the final product, it's generally a solid tune.
some of the mastering could be reworked...
thanks a lot man, you definatly offer some good advice! the crackling was indeed caused by the low bass, and i should of turned it down a little. I originally had the attack of the cello a lot lower, but i thought i gave it a nice kind of mystical feel with it being higher but i dunno. And the layering is a good idea, ill play around with that.
Thanks for giving a really good review with useful additions in it!

tremendous production for as new you are to the field.
you have a good grasp of structuring and mastering so far, now it's time for some substance.
i'm looking forward to your other materials, and i'll be sure to review honestly.
thanks a lot man!! i am fairly new at making techno in genral, that was my first real attempt at trance. I have just uploaded a new track called 'New Context' I beleive this hardcore track to be my best track so far, could you tell me what you think?
hey, you've got some good sounds started on this track, however, each sound needs more emphasis. you can achieve so by starting with a select few, one or two, and then gradually build on them.
then you have a lot of production capabilities-- you can build the drums, have different loops fade in and out, then you can add the booming bass you're looking for.
more of a gradual flow will help this become something you could definitely have someone lay down a vocal track to AND you could still keep it noisy and in-your-face.
i'm hoping you keep experimenting on this!
take a listen to some of my compositions if you need some inspiration.
Thank you peopleareloudmovers, I am pleased you enjoyed it. I do plan on putting some new stuff on in the future, I have just been wasting a lot of time lately.
very mellow feel.
i love that whining synth, it reminds me of the oil zone from sonic 2. that chill drumline is an effective base of this track, it had me nodding like crazy.
i've run into that difficulty in fl.
what i do is i write one time signature,
save a copy and delete essentially everything except for the instrumentation.
change the time signature.
start writing the other parts.
and then combine them both.
it's a difficult process.
or you can just write the entire thing on the piano roll.
occasionally you can make different sections that will fit together--or you can use the 1/2 step tool in the playlist editor to try and line up the different piano roll signatures.
The main problem here is that the measures are in 7/8 7/8 7/8 and 4/4 and then that repeats, so i found that 7+7+7+8 = 30 then take half it for a four base measure 15 then divide that into something feasible. i/e 5/4 then build from that. still i wanted to play with 17/16 transitions, and that hurts the piano roll.
i really enjoyed this track.
the chill beat is great and pleasant early in the morning.
this sample-work is good, i like the whole structure, progression, and aura.
nasty work on this track, i love it. the bassline is ridiculous, and squarepusher is a great symbol for the presence this song gives off. i love the bluegrass feel as well. muy bueno!

the swooping beat in this track is lovely, and there isn't much i would change about the track.
the emphasis should be between the harmonious pads and the free-form beat.
in that little break around 1:50 i feel that the rush back into it could be a little more intense, however, the songs continuity shows no flaws.
the break around 2:45 shines, and the playful, almost brooding mood that ensues afterwords is tremendous.
overall this is a very relaxing and chill track, and i enjoy your current production as is. keep up the great work.
