Banana, first off this is fantastic! So unique, you had me with that opener and then the beat is just relentless! Also very impressed with your vocals, both technique and quality and treatment of them. Your mix is really nice and clean as well.. I think one thing my ears were expecting to hear on this after that little break at 1:55 was a little wailing, high-end guitar solo/embellishment that maybe introduces a new phrase on top of the the rhythm you introduce. Just a suggestion.. I think what you've got here is super solid and stands on it's own merits and I'm excited to hear where you take this one! Also checked out dusty's version, and those bars are nice! I love what dusty did with it, and could definitely hear more of them on this track if the inspiration hits them. Great stuff, thanks for sharing!

thank you badnode for giving me this huge feedback, it made my day. i love those bars from dusty and it would be an honour for me if we can work something out. that beat need def a guitar solo and you are absolutely right, but i know my strengths are not in lead guitar. can you play the guitar?love from a banana
Really digging this Dusty! that flow you have reminds me a lot of Linkin Park's first album, but I totally get what you mean by a Frankenstein with it, because I can def hear all those other genres it draws from. Really comes together nicely though! Thank you for sharing this!

That groove is so nice, the opening almost had me fooled for a mac miller beat. Love that bassline, and those vocals especially, very lush sounding with nice space around them. Lyrics are chef's kiss too, can very much relate!

Hey, wow.. This goes so HARD. Great work, really really well mixed IMO. It's giving me really nice Do Not Resurrect vibes. They're song Walking Doom, specifically. Anyway awesome work!

This is so nice, lovely vocal sample and lovely treatment on it. Gives me some serious FLUME vibes, such a chill tune! Thanks for sharing this!

Love her voice, AND the vibes here! This is right up my alley. One of my favorite things about music and the many forms it can take is how a truly great tune can transport you to another time and place and that's definitely what's happening here! Thanks for sharing this and keep the chill vibes coming!

Really appreciate your kind feedback and I 'm heartened that you picked up the mood and shifting vibes. I loved creating this piece, the lyrics literally fell into place and it is a joy to work with such a talented producer - KayOS
Incredible track! I find this mix to be quite nice personally it doesn't seem to busy to me and everything seems to simmer and blend really nice and softly together, and you've got such a lovely mood under this.. Truly inspiring art! Thanks for sharing,

Love this.. Your vocals are wonderful, this reminds me a lot of Patrick Watson's Luscious life and his feature on Cinematic Orchestra's 'To Build A Home'. Unfiltered emotion, simple catchy melody. Would love to hear more of this, and curious about your recording method of this? I bet this could really shine with a little production polish (not so much that it loses it's raw unplugged style) but it could benefit from some multitracking. I do love the ambient sound design I'm hearing way in the background and I feel it should be more present. You've got a real ear for this sound, hoping to hear more, and thanks for sharing!

My recording method is literally just putting my phone down on my amp or on the floor and just playing the guitar and singing lol. I bought some things that could help with recording and making the final product more polished, so hopefully the next song will sound a little bit better :) Thanks for the kind words friend
This game holds a good deal of nostalgia for me, and I was also always quite fond of the water level themes. David Wise was such a musical savant when it came to setting a musical tone and feel for those games! All that said, I absolutely love what you have done with this track, it's got a real energy that really helps embellish upon where the original strikes the strongest. My one tiny critique(and this is just my preference more than anything) would be the forwardness of the percussion in the first 3/4 of the song. I feel if they were ever so slightly less present in the earlier parts of this track that when they hit later on around the 3 min marker it could have a much brighter stronger impact. Just a thought though! Overall this is a really strong remake and I'm glad you made it and shared it!!

This comes together so nicely, I'm really fond of the brassy synths that come in around 2:39. The intro lead/flute synth is a little too present for my taste, maybe a little lower and more settled in the mix would help it blend with everything, but overall I really love what you did here!
-BN
I think you are right for the lead synth, I should fix the volume. Thanks so much for listening and leaving your comment. It is always a pleasure to know that there is audience. Of course there will be options, likes, dislikes and this is exactly what makes the experience in looperman.com so alive. I will soon visit you and listen to your work
Best wishes, Anthony
This is absolutely incredible. I love the strings that open it, the vocal loop is treated terrifically. I have replayed this several times. Such a lovely downtempo piece, reminds me a lot of bonobo, specifically their live version of days to come ft. Kathrine Deboer. You definitely brought this together nicely! Thanks for sharing this, I'm glad it popped back up, it gave me such a chill out vibe that I desperately needed tonight.

Hey BN - thanks for listening and the comment, pleased you enjoyed it - havent listened much to bonobo - will have to go back and have another listen - will return the ears in the near future
Genuinely enjoy these vocals, I love the feel of this as well, it's got a real solid down tempo vibe, reminds me of some of my favorites, and you vox remind me of early moby. Awesome stuff Nonube!!
This is very nice, I love the use of space and the various textures and new instruments and sounds you introduce as this builds. Helps keep things interesting! I'd agree with Nonube, in that maybe a slower soft mix toward the start and end of the break would make this shine. I'm also hearing some haunting choir, ethereal type vocal oo's and ah's placed throughout the track, but again just some suggestions. What you have created here is really incredible and quite a vibe. :)

Incredible! Huge fan of what you did here. Especially the percussion, that timpani slaps so hard! This is what it would sound like if they played Daft Punk at Medieval Times!
I am now afraid of zombie children in the meadows...
Awesome job on this track, from the instrumentation to the vocals. A transporting journey for sure!
I had no idea what the lyric meant but dang if I couldn't feel what they meant from the melody alone. *round of applause* Keep up the interestingly refreshing and unique work!

Oh wow, incredible work here. All the little production flourishes and just musically it feels so full and alive! Trip hop for sure. Makes me feel like I'm on a train in a foreign country about to make "the drop" and speaking of drops, that one at around 2:33 was perfect. Lovely work !!
